I think we finally have a VT crisis. Just got my first 2 ratings of last week. But I can assure you, it will be a swell party at the Philippines. PJ

Linda, I am surprised that you did not know about the big free party going on at VT headquarters at this very moment. VT sprung for everybody's airfare. We are having a great time here.

Just counted new posts on the Travel forum - omitting duplicate posts - between 01.16 GMT and 22.26 GMT = 48 posts . Not so bad, but I remember a time when the forum seemed to be very much busier.

woooo hoooo.........I'm at the VT headquarters with Drew!!! Wow....really appreciate the free airfare that VT gave us. And the Ritz Carlton isn't so bad either. First annual freebie party....sure look forward to next year's. Linda, sorry you did not get the invite. :-( lol

I was replacing an overhead light in a closet, desperate to avoid electrocuting myself because the Official Spousal Unit was never let me hear the end of it if I killed myself that way ;-)...and then had to elfa(tm) shelf the closet...all part of a project that started several weeks ago when two guys came in and drilled 2 holes in my slab foundation to replace 20 feet of dead drain line...argh! And to think that VT was offering to fly me 1st class to HQ and put me up in a football-stadium sized suite at the Queen Mary in Long Beach...gosh...why did I think that replacing a closet would be more fun???? Bill

We are a whole bunch of people in the Philippines. Had a real good party last night with a cool band that for a while had vt member planxty as the lead guitarist and lead singer.

Wow! Between the party in the Philippines and the VT HQ in California, this is a moving crowd! And the flight and accomodations keep getting better with each post. Thanks Bill. That closet sounds boring ....you're right.

As best as I can tell, most everyone in my area is stuck in traffic somewhere near downtown Vancouver, Washington (NOT the one in Canada). I'm not sure just what the attraction is as there is even less interesting stuff in Vancouver, Washington than there is here in Portland, Oregon. However, for whatever reason, everyone seems to have suddenly decided that is where they want to go. Any chance we could offer half of them free air fare to VT headquarter too? It would sure make getting across the river easier. Besides, no one would notice their addition to Los Angeles traffic.

Sorry, I've been busy working during the day and unpacking boxes in our new house in the evenings :-( Next week we're having our huuuuuge garden done, with patio, etc..... VT party at mine, y'all!!! ;-)

Barbar, the Travel Forum might be slow but Miscellaneous Forum came to a skidding halt this Sunday. Tommy you might be right about the US VT Members, but what about everyone else? Surely, the NFL wouldn't enthrall the rest of the world? At 10:30 am my time they wouldn't all still be in bed. Kathy, I'm delighted that you and Drew have been given the chance to enjoy the generosity of VT Staff and the fun they offer at their parties! I wouldn't fly there in any case, for me it would be less hastle to just drive up. Sorry I missed you guys and gals!!!

Bill, it just goes to show that you are an accommodating husband, so don't feel too bad. si, Linda!! not the drive OF COURSE!! but book a flight, eh?? well, do enjoy your kids; we finally got a trip booked in a couple weeks to see our granddaughter again for a few days; she won't even know us, now 2-1/2 and we haven't seen her since just after she was ONE.
