Bus to Barcelona Posted: Wed July 8, 2009 09:51 PM UTC
Our family will be staying in Argeles Sur Mer from the 31st July to 11th August. We would like to take a day trip by bus to Barcelona in Spain. Is this possible and if so which bus company do we contact to book. We have looked at the train as a possible way of travelling but it comes out at 240 euros for a day return.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Perpignan churches Posted: Fri April 17, 2009 12:29 AM UTC
Hello Perpignan locals / visitors:
Please could you let me know if you know any churches that are:
- within easy access to an international airport (max 1h30 mins travel)
- picturesque, with a minister / priest that can speak English
- with hotels / apartments / gites to rent nearby
- which has a great natural landscape view outside
- good transportation(public and private) available in the area
Thank you so much in advance!

Thinking about 3 nights in Perpignan - no car- is there enough to see and do? Posted: Thu January 15, 2009 11:17 PM UTC
I have the chance of very cheap flights from UK to Perpignan during February -probably Thursday thru Sunday.
I don't want to hire a car and so I wondered if there would be enough to see and do in the town alone at this time of year.
I have only just started to look at the VT pages - some of the famous sights appear to be away from town so maybe I could use buses or trains?
Does anyone have any experiences of visiting - maybe during the winter months?
This is not intended to be an intense sight-seeing trip like Prague, Paris, Rome etc. but I don't just want to hang-out in bars or cafes the whole time! Oh!, and I don't need "night-life" - just nice meals and a drink to relax.
Thank you!

Camping le soleil - Argeles Plage Posted: Tue April 22, 2008 04:04 PM UTC
Hi
Have booked to go camping here in August, myself, my sister and 4 kids. We will not have transport. Been reading various reviews on place and am now panicking that le soleil is a bit out of the way and not much to entertain us there. Also public transport looks to be limited and rather pricey. Can anyone reassure me. Just want to know that we have some shops restaurants things to see apart from the beach
Many thanks

Also any suggests for what to do during the day in and around Perpigan and at night. We are both foodies.

Barcelona to Perpignan by car hire Posted: Wed January 30, 2008 07:24 AM UTC
I will arrive at Barcelona early July but all car rental companies I contacted don't allow cross border travel though the car will be dropped back at Barcelona.
Anyone knows of a car rental company which allows cross border trips?
I want to spend 2-3 days at Perpignan and then back to Barcelona

places to visit in late September Posted: Mon April 24, 2006 07:31 PM UTC
Hi we are taking our son to his university in September and plan to use some time to visit around the area before leaving him for a year. We are travelling from UK to Bilbao, driving across to Perpignan and returning the same way. Any suggestions of places worth a visit either on the journey across or while in the area. We do want to go to see the Bridge in the sky and the camargue, but open to suggestions. Also any good ideas of hotels/campsites to stay for couple of nights.

Ideas Posted: Tue February 28, 2006 09:15 PM UTC
A friend and I are going to europe for in June. We will be arriving in Barcelona. I actually have 2 questions.
1) WHat do you guys think is the best way to travel from Barca to Perignan. (train, bus, ferry)
2) We are not to keen on the whole we have to see the city theme. We just want to maybe see a few things during the day and relax in a mellow bar or club and drink some beers. What are the best places to do so.
I appreciate all of your input.
Thank You
