Cancún Bull Fighting in Cancun
Posted: Sat April 18, 2009 05:57 PM UTC
I understand that there is a bullfighting show in Cancun, Plaza del Torros on Wed afternoons. I have never been to a bullfight before. Has anyone been to it that can advise if its worth the US$33? In your opinion, is it OK for kids around 4 to 8yrs or too gory? Any other tips on this will be welcome. Thanks for your views

Cancún Going to Isla Holbox
Posted: Wed April 15, 2009 10:31 AM UTC
Hi,

Is it better to take a bus or rent a car to go to Isla Holbox? I was thinking of staying there 2-3 days. Is the parking lot in Chiquila safe? Thanks!

Hi

I will be travelling to Mexico from the UK in a few weeks. Is the application for the Tourist Card/FMT Form something that can be completed on the plane or does it now have to be applied for online prior to travel ?

Thanks

Cancún Opinion on all-inclusive in Cancun
Posted: Sun March 22, 2009 10:03 PM UTC
Hello!
My husband and I are traveling to a Cancun all-inclusive later this year to celebrate anniversary. My main criteria is a GOOD beach! So far, have narrowed it down to Westin Resort and Spa at end of hotel zone (due to best reviews of beach) . Any thoughts? Thank you!

Cancún Exit Duty
Posted: Sun March 15, 2009 09:26 PM UTC
We are arriving and departing Mexico via the Cancun airport. I have been searching for up to date information on the exit duty (or departure tax) and can only find general references. What is the current exit duty and should we be prepared to pay in pesos or do they expect US dollars from US citizens?

Cancún Scuba in Cancun
Posted: Sun March 15, 2009 05:11 AM UTC
We're heading to Cancun soon, for the first time. I'm a diver and would like to do some diving on this trip. I'm wiling to travel to Cozumel (CZM). But heard that I need to go to Playa del Carmen (PDC) first, because the ferries are there. Any advice from divers that's been to that area? Dive operators, maybe spend one night in PDC or CZM. TIA.

Cancún Need help with Cancun Vacation.
Posted: Tue March 10, 2009 01:38 AM UTC
Hello everyone,

Me and my girlfriend (25 and 22) are going to Cancun for a week or two this towards the end of April. We really want to enjoy the place but we're on a tight budget. So can anyone help us with some questions:

1. do you know of any place to rent for a couple on a weekly basis, preferably with a pool and beach or near beach access? doesn't need to be posh or anything, would be great if there's a/c and a kitchen and a shower. How much do you think would it cost?

2. can we rent a scooter so we can roam around and explore the sights freely? how much?

3. what places do we need to see at Cancun or at it's adjacent places?

4. any other tips for first timers?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Cancún Shuttles
Posted: Sat February 14, 2009 01:42 AM UTC
We are flying in to the Cancun airport in June. I would rather book a shuttle to take us to the hotel than take a taxi. How do I find names, phone numbers, or websites for shuttles in Cancun?

Cancún Mexico City to Cancun in 4 days, what should I see & how?
Posted: Sat January 24, 2009 05:41 AM UTC
Hi there,

I am thinking about going from Mexico City to Cancun in about four days. I was thinking about doing possibly Puebla, Palenque and Chichén-Itzá as stops. I am an independent traveler and Spanish speaker, possibly taking buses. Is it doable? What buses would you take? What stops would you do? Any good overnight buses that I can take? Any other places where you would stop? thanks!

Cancún Nice Family Resort Hotel in Cancun

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice 4 or 5 star hotel in Cancun that is a good choice for a family with kids 5 and 9 years of age. I haven't been to Cancun in about 10 years and wonder what new activities there might be as well. Thanks.

Cancún Who took a taxi on Cancun Airport Sunday 11th January about 16.00 hrs and found a Nikon Camera?
Posted: Tue January 13, 2009 07:17 AM UTC
Hi All,

I hope someone can help my friends, who lost their Nikon Coolpix Camera with all their holiday pictures of 5 weeks touring. Unfortunately the fotocards were also stashed in the black bag in which it was. 6 gig = 1500 pictures of the whole vacation. Not a very nice homecoming to find out you lost it in yr cab at the other side of the world :-(
THey are mainly interested in the cards, the camera they don't mind much, its replacable but 2x 1 gb and 1x 4 gb SD cards, they would love to have back so they can remember and show us one great holiday, except for that last day.
I hope some can help us and knows something. We're living in Holland, so there is no option to go back and search, but a wonderful Dutch lady allready helps with the taxisearch, but maybe someone found it....

Thank you very much if you know anything.

Regards,
Carla, Yvonne en Bart.

Cancún Interested in going to Tulum?
Posted: Wed November 26, 2008 12:26 AM UTC
Thinking of renting a car and driving to Tulum (from Cancun) on Thu, Nov 27th and wanted to see if anyone is interested in joining. Room for 1 more (2 or 3 more will probably be too congested). Will decide if I'm going to rent a car or take a bus based on replies. Flexible on how much time to spend there, what time to leave, etc. Please email to my VT mail with your contact info, if interested.

Cancún are there any NON SMOKING hotels? I'm talking OUTDOOR areas
Posted: Sun November 23, 2008 03:05 AM UTC
It's really horrible to go and sit out by the pool or the beach and have the smell of smoke or cigars wafting through the air when you are trying to enjoy the smell of the ocean and fresh air. Are there any resorts with NON SMOKING policies in ALL the areas? Thanks so much for any leads.

Cancún Free Internet access in Hotel Zonera
Posted: Thu November 20, 2008 03:32 AM UTC
Is there a free or cheaper option available for the Internet access within the Hotel Zonera in Cancun? I just found out that the hotel (Marriott) I will be staying in charges around $20/day for 24hr internet access. Not sure if that's the typical daily rate in the hotel zone but thought to check with the others here to see if they have any suggestions or tips that could save me some $$$. I wouldn't mind taking my laptop somewhere within the walking distance of the hotel to get on the net while I am there. TIA.

Cancún Do I need to convert USD in pesos?
Posted: Wed November 19, 2008 12:07 AM UTC
Do I need to convert US dollars into pesos for my visit to Cancun? Based on what I read, it seems that almost all transactions can be done in US$. Since I am taking some bus/ferry rides, I think I would need some pesos. Can someone please confirm or provide any clarity?

TIA
