September in Yucutan Peninsula Posted: Thu July 2, 2009 02:36 PM UTC
I'm planning on travelling to the Yucutan Peninsula on 17th September this year for 10 nights and want an idea of the weather I can expect and ideas of good hotels. Currently looking at El Dorado Seaside Resort as it looks quite romantic.
Thanks

Never been there. Want to go over christmas. Any advice? Posted: Tue June 30, 2009 01:53 PM UTC
We are looking for a place with clear warm water for snorkling, white sand beaches and not expensive. Never been to Cancun and I hear it is a great place to go. Can anyone comment on some of these questions.....
Hurricanes. Are they typicaly gone by Christmas-time?
Hows the water? I like to scuba and my wife will go snorkling with me. Is the water still nice near Christmas?
Any recommendations for a decent hotel for under a hundred bucks?
Any other advice?
I really appreciate any advice given!
Thanks alot,
Rich.

Skeleton Restaurant in Cancun Posted: Fri May 22, 2009 05:03 PM UTC
A long time ago I had visited a restaurant downtown Cancun that was painted with skeletons dancing, having fun, etc. It was great and the food was delicious. Does ANYONE know the name of it. I'm returning in July.
Thank you

Anyone ever stayed at the Royal Sunset Resort in Cancun? Posted: Sun May 17, 2009 09:02 PM UTC
I was just there in December and I must say it's probably one of the best resorts i ever stayed at. It's top notch. My friend stayed at another resort the last time she went, which was across the water from the Royal Sunset and she said it wasn't nearly as nice as this one.

When I fly into Cancun I want to catch a first class bus to PDC or Tulum. Can I catch one at the airport, or do I have to go to the station downtown?
Thanx.

Telephone number for La Isla Posted: Thu April 30, 2009 01:24 AM UTC
Ok so I think someone stole my camera out of my bag while I was shoppping last week at this mall while on vacation. It had ALL my vacation pictures on it. I'm assuming it's gone but I would really like to contact this mall and ask just one last time to see if some honest person turned it in but the number I keep calling isn't working. Could someone help me and tell me how I can contact this mall from Canada. THANK YOU!

Buying groceries in Cancun Posted: Thu April 23, 2009 12:48 AM UTC
I will be staying at the Royal Resort, Club International. I will have a full kitchen and will be taking advantage of it. I hear that the convenience store on site is pricey. Any suggestions as to where to shop and how to access it would be great!
Thanks, Joan

Safety Posted: Mon April 20, 2009 01:19 AM UTC
Hi, back in January I thought I had my summer vacation planned but then the violence in Mexico heated up. I have included my itinerary, which includes venturing into Guatemala and Belize.
I would like insight from anyone who lives in these areas or has visited their in the last three months.

Bull Fighting in Cancun Posted: Sat April 18, 2009 04:57 PM UTC
I understand that there is a bullfighting show in Cancun, Plaza del Torros on Wed afternoons. I have never been to a bullfight before. Has anyone been to it that can advise if its worth the US$33? In your opinion, is it OK for kids around 4 to 8yrs or too gory? Any other tips on this will be welcome. Thanks for your views

Going to Isla Holbox Posted: Wed April 15, 2009 09:31 AM UTC

Is it better to take a bus or rent a car to go to Isla Holbox? I was thinking of staying there 2-3 days. Is the parking lot in Chiquila safe? Thanks!

Opinion on all-inclusive in Cancun Posted: Sun March 22, 2009 09:03 PM UTC
Hello!
My husband and I are traveling to a Cancun all-inclusive later this year to celebrate anniversary. My main criteria is a GOOD beach! So far, have narrowed it down to Westin Resort and Spa at end of hotel zone (due to best reviews of beach) . Any thoughts? Thank you!

Exit Duty Posted: Sun March 15, 2009 08:26 PM UTC
We are arriving and departing Mexico via the Cancun airport. I have been searching for up to date information on the exit duty (or departure tax) and can only find general references. What is the current exit duty and should we be prepared to pay in pesos or do they expect US dollars from US citizens?

Scuba in Cancun Posted: Sun March 15, 2009 04:11 AM UTC
We're heading to Cancun soon, for the first time. I'm a diver and would like to do some diving on this trip. I'm wiling to travel to Cozumel (CZM). But heard that I need to go to Playa del Carmen (PDC) first, because the ferries are there. Any advice from divers that's been to that area? Dive operators, maybe spend one night in PDC or CZM. TIA.

Need help with Cancun Vacation. Posted: Tue March 10, 2009 12:38 AM UTC
Hello everyone,
Me and my girlfriend (25 and 22) are going to Cancun for a week or two this towards the end of April. We really want to enjoy the place but we're on a tight budget. So can anyone help us with some questions:
1. do you know of any place to rent for a couple on a weekly basis, preferably with a pool and beach or near beach access? doesn't need to be posh or anything, would be great if there's a/c and a kitchen and a shower. How much do you think would it cost?
2. can we rent a scooter so we can roam around and explore the sights freely? how much?
3. what places do we need to see at Cancun or at it's adjacent places?
4. any other tips for first timers?
Thanks in advance for your responses!

Shuttles Posted: Sat February 14, 2009 12:42 AM UTC

Mexico City to Cancun in 4 days, what should I see & how? Posted: Sat January 24, 2009 04:41 AM UTC
Hi there,
I am thinking about going from Mexico City to Cancun in about four days. I was thinking about doing possibly Puebla, Palenque and Chichén-Itzá as stops. I am an independent traveler and Spanish speaker, possibly taking buses. Is it doable? What buses would you take? What stops would you do? Any good overnight buses that I can take? Any other places where you would stop? thanks!
