We are planning our time in Warnemunde and plan to take a Train (Express or Local) ride to Rostock, please let me know how much it will cost and how long it would take (re: train ride) ...

What kind of transportation exists between the cruise port and either the center of town or the beach?
How long does it take? cost? How far are town and beach from one another? |

We are going on shore excursion for a day to Warnemunde and booking on a cruise ship could be very pricey. I would like your advice whether we can just go on our own for about 4 to 5 hour trip. How much would that cost and what are the attractions in Warnemunde?
