My wife and young daughter (2 yr) are planning to visit Rosarito/Ensenada for a week either in early May or early Sept. Can you tell us what would be

Ensenada New Years in Ensenada
Posted: Tue October 4, 2005 02:58 PM UTC
We are travelling as a group of 5 or 7 from Canada. We'll be arriving in San Diego and area and we can't decide where to spend New Years Eve... San Diego or in Mexico.

We heard a lot of nice stuff about Ensenada.... and decided to check out the Forum to decide where it would be best spent.

Does anyone have any advice, or know of any festivities going on in Ensenada. We would prefer to celebrate New Years on a beach or on the pier. We range in age from 21-35, so we're interested in having a great time... but doing something we can't do at home (it'll be snowing and freezing cold at home).

Any advice based on experiences from previous years or if anyone has any information about festivities this year... it would help a great day.

We're looking forward to spending a day or two in Ensenada.

Ensenada Nice, scenic beach for photos? Seashells??
Posted: Wed September 14, 2005 10:43 AM UTC
Hi. We will be in Ensenada 9/22/05. Can you recommend nice, scenic beaches for photos? Do you know if any beaches have seashells?? What can we expect to pay for a taxi ride to the beach? Do the drivers take only American dollars? We really appreciate any help and are running short on departure time.

Thank you.

Ensenada Bus or Taxi to the Beach??
Posted: Tue September 6, 2005 10:06 AM UTC
Hello. We will be in Ensenada 9/21/05 on our cruise. We want to see some scenic beaches (photograph), hopefully with seashells. Is there a public bus we could take to the beach? If not, are Taxi's safe, reasonable and do the drivers speak English?? Thank you for your help.

Ensenada Best grilled fish tacos
Posted: Tue July 5, 2005 08:53 PM UTC
Just under El Cid (Best Western) on the main strip, is a little taco stand on the corner just north of the hotel. I don't remember the name but they were not like all the other places begging to serve you. It was a simple offer and great food. Only .99 cents for the fish taco and they cater to your desire of cooking. I asked for mine to be specially marinated with lemon, garlic, and pepper. The guy that owns it is named Alex and he is very nice, relaxed and accomidating.

Ensenada Driving south from San Diego
Posted: Sat February 26, 2005 10:05 PM UTC
I am searching for hotels in upper and middle Baja, preferably on the beach. Could you please post your favorite mid-priced hotel from Tijuana southward? If I was traveling alone, I would probably sleep on the beach or just rent a room whereever but my father is picky and needs clean toilet and shower. If you have an good links, please post them. I have just found this so far: http://gobaja.com/LaPintaSanQuintin/

I speak Spanish but this is my father's first time in Mexico. I've been there many times but never had to research anything beforehand. Just showed up and enjoyed my trips everytime.

We are planning to rent a car in San Diego and drive south and then back for a week. Just starting my research.

Ensenada Beaches in Ensenada
Posted: Tue July 20, 2004 05:32 PM UTC
My seven year old daughter and I will be visiting Ensenada, Mexico during the second week of August.

I am interested in locating secluded, scenic beaches. I am not at all interested in spending time on beaches designated for (or bombarded by) tourists.

Any ideas?

Ensenada any advice on the best way to get to San Diego from L.A.X (cheapest!)
Posted: Sun December 21, 2003 10:35 PM UTC
Hello people!

We are making a trip on dec 27th from London to L.A. and intend to travel to Mexico, first stop Ensenada,we were wondering if anyone knew of a good way to get to San diego as soon as we jump off the plane. At the moment,we are looking at taking the Amtrak from Union St. but we would prefer to go directly from the airport if possible.
any advice would be much appreciated.

We were also wondering if anyone knows where would be a good place to spend New Year's Eve,we'd like to be with the Mexican people in quite a quiet
desert place but where they celebrate New Year with a bang!

Thankyou.
