We're going to PE for Christmas with another family and all of our kids, ages 10 to 13. Has anyone done something like this? We're trying to book a good place to stay for a week. House? Apartment? Condo? Hotel? Not sure what the best option will be but we're looking for a good place and realized we'd better hurry because places are booking up fast! Thanks for any advice.

Hi, I am currently living in Oaxaca City. I am planning on traveling to Puerto for 1-2 weeks and am looking for someone (preferibly a female) to trave with for safety purposes. I am planning on staying in a hostel and speding most of my days surfing, posiibly some hiking.

If I fly into PE, how hard, long, expensive, etc. is it to get to Puerto Angel?

Is it hard to rent cheap places by the month in either place?

I'm more into diving than surfing. Is there a "best place" for that along this coast?

Myself and 5 other mates are heading down to puerto escondido for the month of april and want to rent a house for a reasonable price so that we can all stay together. We want to go surfing at Zicatela Beach, and thus would like to stay an easy 5 min walk from the beach.. is there anywhere that would fit what im looking for, we are flexable and could stay somewhere that we were lodging.. well anywhere.. basicly after info on stayin in puerto escondido.

Can anyone describe what the rooms look like at Arco Iris? I can't find any pics anywhere. I hear the hotel is great and food is fine, but just wondering about the room and kitchenette. Bright, clean, spacious, comfortable beds.....I know, I know, it's Mexico!!! But any info will be appreciated. Going there in Feb/Mar so am excited!

Hi I have a friend travelling to PE in Feb 2005 who is looking for advice on accommodation. She has heard of Papaya Surf being ok. Does anyone have experience of staying there recently or suggest any other places that are good. She also mentioned a place called Playa Zicatela, a place rther than a hotel I think if anyone knows anything about it??

We are travelling to Puerto Escondido next year, and we wanted to stay in Hotel Arco Iris, but we are having alot of trouble contacting them. Does anyone know how I can contact the hotel directly? I would prefer email or website details as I am in Australia and the time difference is huge!

I'm heading to Puerto Escondido in August 2004 and was wondering if someone could recommend a good hostel or budget type accomodation to stay at. I've heard great things about 'Surf Hostel Zicatela' but haven't been able to make any online reservations, if anyone knows the contact number so I could enquire and book over the phone I'd appreciate it.

Should we buy the boards up here in Utah
or should we buy them down there and what
