Tijuana Need info on Tijuana aiport
Posted: Fri November 17, 2006 07:07 AM UTC
Hi,
I live in Los Angeles and traveling to mexico city in Jan.but found a cheaper fight leaving from Tijuana than from Los Angeles. I have never been to the Tijuana Airport and I am not sure what to expect. If anyone can give me helpful tips and things I should avoid, that would be great.
I am geting dropped off by a friend at the tijuana airport.
what hours crossing the border should i avoid to not miss my flight?
Also, what is a recommended exit and or route from los angeles going to tj with the least amount of traffic?
is it safe?
any advice will be very helpul.

thank you!

Tijuana Tijuana airport to Ensenada
Posted: Sun November 12, 2006 04:58 AM UTC
Hello, does anyone have a recommendation for ground transportation from Tijuana airport to Ensenada, other than renting a car (we are not returning to Tijuana airport)?

I heard that the ABC bus or Mexicoach bus go to Ensenada. How far is the closest bus terminal from the airport for ABC or Mexicoach, and what exactly do we tell the taxi driver?

Or is there an inexpensive collectivo from the Tijuana airport?

Any replies will be appreciated.

Tijuana Tijuana or Ensenada?
Posted: Sat October 21, 2006 04:56 AM UTC
Hi all,

My girlfriend is visiting me in SD, and I allocated a day to see Mexico (we don't have much time together!) I was wondering, would it be worth the extra 3+ hours of bus rides for a day trip to Ensenada? Tijuana would obviously be easier to get to, although if Ensenada is significantly less touristy and/or nicer, it might be a better option. Thanks!

Tijuana Hotel near the downtown bus terminal
Posted: Sun September 24, 2006 12:51 AM UTC
Hi, I need help to locate a budget hotel near the downtown bus terminal at Ave Madera and Calle 1a. According to the Lonely Planet central Tijuana map, the downtown bus terminal is a short walk from the border pedestrian bridge.

Btw what is the difference between taking the ABC bus to Ensenada from the downtown bus terminal(Antigua Central Camionera) and the border bus terminal(Central Camionera de la Linea) near Plaza Viva Tijuana?

Hi,

My family and I are planning to visit San Diego in early December 2006 and are thinking of spending a day in Tijuana. We are all green card holders. I was wondering if we would need visas to cross the border. Also, where do I apply for visas if needed? Thanks.

Tijuana ATM card

Is there a Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank in Tijuana? I have a HSBC card which has the logo 'Cirrus' and 'The Exchange' at the back. I've heard it's better to get pesos from the ATM than to change cash. Thanks.

Tijuana Bullfights
Posted: Wed July 19, 2006 01:18 PM UTC
Does anyone have any experience going to the Tijuana Bullfights?
We are considering going Sept. 3. We would be driving up or taking the bus
from Ensenada (easier?). Is the arena easy to locate? Parking? Is the experience
authentic or a cheesey tourist trap? tia. jeff101d@hotmail.com

Tijuana quick usa entry from sentry bus line?
Posted: Wed July 12, 2006 08:30 PM UTC
My question is how does one access the red buses that go to front of entry point to the usa, on the far right side on the sentry line? It seems to be the quickest way back rather than waiting in a car line for three hours or the pedestrian line for two hours? I see these red tour buses coming into the line with a ten minute wait. Does anyone know what bus line this is, as i am only going for dental appointments about a half mile from border and am impatient when returning to find waiting three hours at the border exessively frustrating, but worth the quality of dental work, for the cost. Wishing all the best. Don

My family and I are traveling to Michoacan State in Mexico, but we have to figure out how to get efficiently from the San Diego Int'l Airport to the border and ultimately the Tijuana Airport. Can anyone help with some advice? The taxi would be at least $50 it seems. -- muchas gracias, Nancy

We'll be visiting Tijuana in early July for a half day with a young boy. Is it possible to walk to the Jai Alai Palace from Revolution Blvd.? I don't think he can take 3 hours of just shopping. And I'm not sure I want to get in a taxi.

Tijuana Crossing the Border
Posted: Tue May 30, 2006 08:57 PM UTC
I've driven into Mexico many times, however ever since the immigration laws are rising; there have been some concerns about visiting Rosarito Mexico. I've just recently heard that while waiting in line to enter back into the U.S., U.S. Citizens are randomly being pulled out of their cars at gunpoint and held hostage. Can anyone verify if this is true or false?

Tijuana Doctor visits in TJ

About the doctors in TJ. Are there walk in places to go to? Any particular ones recommended? Cost? This will be our first time in Tijuana so anything will be a help. Being on meds, I thought getting them in TJ would be less expensive. Also...any places we should stay away from?

Tijuana What are some good hotels near Avenida Revolucion, within walking distance to Zona Norte?
Posted: Thu May 4, 2006 07:29 PM UTC
I'm going to fly out west this August for a week-long road trip from San Diego to Las Vegas with a few friends. We are all 22 years old.

We would like to stay in Tijuana for a night or two. What are some good hotels near Avenida Revolucion? We are looking to spend $50-80 on a hotel room per night. We would prefer a hotel with a late check-out time (around 1 pm).

How far is Zona Norte from the Avenida Revolucion area? I've looked on a few street maps, and they seem to be within walking distance.

Tijuana Is Tijuana like Benidorm?

I was thinking of going to Tijuana in the late summer but, some things i have heard make me wonder whether it has been ruined by tourism and it's proximity to america. Is the nightlife alcohol based or is there some deference to music?

Tijuana Tijuana Car Rental
Posted: Sat March 25, 2006 10:52 AM UTC
Hello, I'm planning a travel with my girlfriend in Mexico. We think to drive from tijuana to Cabo San Lucas in the first days of August. I've looked for "official" car rental (AVIS, Hertz, Sixt but they are very expensive (about 1200 € for one week with a medium class car). Does someone know any cheaper car rental, please? Thank you for your help, Bye.
