I'm coming as a day tripper on Saturday 10th March and would like to know where the best place for breakfast is on a budget!
Also, is there a market in St Malo on Saturday or a shopping area to explore?
Many thanks!

Hello all,
I am getting a boat to St Malo on 11th July, and am getting a connecting flight later on from Beauvais airport. As a new traveller to France, I was wondering what is the best way to get from St Malo to Beauvais? Cheapest preferably, however any method would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Dear Friends,

Iwill be arriving in Beauvais airport in mid May and have 2 weeks to explore
Northern france. Mont St Michel, Brittany, Normandy and St Malo have been discussed with me. Could you help me formulate an itinerary. I've never been to Northern France.

Thank you

Hi, we're coming back to St Malo in June for 7 nights, arriving on a Sunday. Can you tell me if all shops (including those where I could buy a filled baguette) open on Sundays? We parcicularly enjoyed the shop that sold filled baguettes on the corner of La rue Saint-Vincent in the Intra Muros. Thank you.

My husband and I are going to St Malo for 4 days. He has a conference and I will be shopping and enjoying the city during the day. But, do I need a car to do these things? I would prefer to not have one, but if I need one to enjoy the city I will get one. Any advice? Also, we are staying at Oceania and they may or may not have parking.

Thank you!

Bonjour, I'm spending Easter Sunday in Saint Malo and I wonder whether any of the shops, bars, patisseries, cafes and restaurants are open as normal on that day as it is Easter weekend. I'll be arriving in the morning from the ferry and would like to have some breakfast and lunch before being able to check in to my hotel, so I'd like to be sure that there is somewhere that I can go that is open for sure. Thanks for your help in advance.

I am traveling to St. Malo by train, then 4 hours later taking the ferry to Jersey. I would like to explore St. Malo during that time and the ferry office does not store luggage for its passengers due to security measures. Does anyone know where I can stow luggage for a few hours. I am told the SNCF station does not offer a "consigne" but am not sure if that is accurate.

Hello. I will be arriving in St-Malo at 13:00 on Sunday, February 26th. I need to be in Rouen Monday night, February 27th, no later than 21:00.

I do not have a car (travelling via train) and it appears that trains are infrequent and Les Courriers Bretons, who have bus shuttles from St-Malo to Pontorson and Mont St-Michel, only run one trip a day.

Can anyone help me figure out my transportation options?

I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.

Hi Everyone,

Hope this question does not sound TOO strange. I went to ST. MALO in 1988 and LOVED the atmosphere: the walls of the town, being close to the sea, the air, the light...

I was wondering if there is any town in the northern part of Normandy which might have a similar atmosphere!!

The reason I ask is because we are driving from PARIS to ETRETAT in June, and will not have enough time to return to ST. MALO (unfortunately). So instead, I thought I might inquire if there is any similar town to St. Malo, but closer to ETRETAT or HONFLEUR.

Merci/Thank you for your time in responding!

P.S. If you have any questions about New York City, I can help you. CHEERS!!

I only have one day to visit St. Malo and then head off for a morning at Mont Saint Michel (I heard a person can see Mont St. Michel in half a day).

Has anyone ever stayed at a hotel fronting the train station in St. Malo (rather than staying in INTRAMUROS)?

I figured it would be more convenient since the bus to Mont St. Michel can be taken from the train station.

BUT! In my experience, many areas where the train station is located isn't as safe.

Is this true for St. Malo? I hope not since this isn't a big city.

Any advice?

If you had any experience with taking the train to St. Malo, did you have to take a taxi from the Train Station to St. Malo? Was it too inconvenient traveling in and out the city walls when you had to get to other places like Mont St. Michel?

Thanks in advance for the tips!

How many hours drive is it from St Malo to Tours in the Loire Valley. We are hoping to combine a holiday, one week in Brittany and one week in Loire Valley. Is this feasible, we will be towing a caravan.
