Quebec bar in quebec city
Posted: Thu May 15, 2008 12:57 AM UTC
Hi. I'm looking for the name of a bar in Quebec City that I recently went to but have forgotten the name of. I'm pretty sure it was in Vieux Quebec, but I'm not 100 percent. The place had two floors. Upstairs there was a pool table and you could play darts. Close to the pool table there was an outdoor terrace. They also served some food, such as nachos and chicken wings. On the bottom floor they were also serving beer and as the night got older there was live music there, at least on saturday night, we left early the other day we were there so I don't know if there's live music every night. You could watch tv on both floors. I think it's on Rue St-Jean or somewhere in that area or at least around that area. Does anyone know what place I'm talking about?

Quebec old Quebec City
Posted: Sun April 13, 2008 03:03 PM UTC
HiEveryone:

I am planning on spending a few days in Quebec City and am overwhelmed with the amount of places to stay. Is it imperative to stay within the walls or is it just as easy to stay outside. Looking for someplace quaint but clean.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Posted: Tue January 29, 2008 09:50 PM UTC
I am very happy to visit Quebec City again. I will be there next week and I would like to know where 101 Rue Saint Joseph is located. I looked at the map and I found it to be near Parc Du Moulin De L Hopital and Boulevard Langelier....is that right? I will stay at the Hilton Hotel and I´d like to go on foot. Thank you.

Quebec Last week of 2007 - New Years in Quebec
Posted: Mon October 15, 2007 10:53 PM UTC
Ladies and Gentlemen of Quebec;

My wife is a kindergarten teacher, so one of our travel traditions is traveling for New Year's Eve. This year, we're headed for Quebec City.

Will Quebec be open, or will everything shut down (restaurants, museums, etc) for the winter holiday?

One of our great loves during traveling is meeting with VT members, we could meet with the same person or different people every night of the week and be satisfied with our travels. Will any VT members be available for some cold-weather fun?

We don't really know too much French (ok, we can say "hello, some beer please, and do you speak english." Is this okay?

We are looking forward to ringing in the 400th year of Quebec city, what exactly is scheduled for the evening of the 31st?

On October 18 a group of 16 are arriving at YQB at 1:30 PM to take a cruise. We need transportation from YQB to the boat docks. We would like to know if a small bus would be available to take 16 people with luggage to the dock and a possible tour of Quebec.

Posted: Thu July 19, 2007 07:25 PM UTC
Hello! We will be landing at Quebec (YQB) airport on Wednesday, August 1 at 23:32 (11:33pm).
1. Is it possible to find a taxi at that time?
2. How much should the taxi cost?
3. Can anyone suggest a decent place to eat around Auberge Saint-Antoine that will still be open past midnight?

Thank you in advance.

My friend and I are travelling to Quebec tomorrow night (a last minute trip) and we are looking for an inexpensive bed and breakfast, nothing fancy, hopefully nice and ideally a walking distance from the Old Town.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Quebec Honeymoon Hotel
Posted: Tue May 8, 2007 11:47 PM UTC
Hi everyone. Me and my fiance are going on our honeymoon to Montreal, and are planning a few days in Quebec City. We've been looking at hotel websites/reviews/etc., and there are quite a few that look good. However I am torn because they pretty much all have an equal amount of good and bad reviews.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good boutique-type hotel that is in the $150-$275 price range (the lower the better!).
Thanks a bunch.

Quebec Are US Dollars accepted in Canada
Posted: Thu April 12, 2007 03:46 AM UTC
Hi, We will be on a 13 day coach tour leaving Boston late May and visiting the Canadian cities along the St Lawrence seaway. We will be in Canada for 7 days and wish to know whether shops will accept our US dollars. We are travelling from Perth Australia and would like to arrange currencies before we leave. In the last week the Australian Dollar has risen 5% against the US dollar, very good for travelling.

There was a young French male singer on the Plains of Abraham on St. Jean Baptiste 2006 who has produced (or is producing) a CD with a young male English singer who was also in Quebec during St. Jean Baptiste.
Do you know the names of the singers and/or the CD?
