Toronto 9 Hour Layover in Toronto!
Posted: Sat April 19, 2008 03:12 PM UTC
Hi everyone,

We have a nine (9) hour layover in Toronto. Arrive Toronto at 5:45AM on a Mon., depart Toronto for Chicago at 3PM.

We would like to visit:

*CN Tower, opens at 9AM
*Hockey Hall of Fame (HHOF), opens at 10AM
*Eat somewhere unique to Toronto near both places above

-Can we check our luggage in lockers at the airport?
(We only have a total of two suitcases (carry-on size))

-What's the best way to get to Toronto from the airport and back?

-Is the HHOF within walking distance of the CN Tower? or do we taxi?

-Should we buy our CN Tower tickets online in advance?

Thanks so much everyone, we very excited to visit Toronto for the first time! :)

Toronto Need help - toronto
Posted: Tue April 8, 2008 04:22 PM UTC
Hi there,

I plan to drop by Toronto after my biz trip in Montreal. Hence, will be there hopefully from Mar 3rd till 5th.

1) Any cheap hotels less than CND$ 100? preferably in city centre n is public transport friendly

2) What are the things that I shouldn't miss?

3) Do you have hop-on-tour-buses in Toronto - like those in europe? If yes, how much?

4) What's the best way to get to niagra falls? Is it better to get to niagra falls from montreal or toronto? Which journey has a better view? Couch? Train?

Thanks a bunch!

Toronto Looking for Cheap One-Way flights from Europe to NA

Hello,

I'm looking for a cheap one-way flight from Europe to North America. I'm in Ljlubljana, Slovenia, but am willing to leave from Trst, Vienna, Munich, or Frankfurt. My final destination is Toronto, Canada, but I'm also willing to fly into New York or Buffalo and take a bus.

Any suggestions?

Takes for your help in advance.

Toronto Help, young visitors from Boston
Posted: Tue March 11, 2008 10:12 PM UTC
Hi,

I am trying to come up with things to entertain two young visitors from the suburbs of Boston (boys 13 and 8). This will be there second visit to Toronto so I am having a hard time coming up with things for them to do. I believe they have already visted CN tower and maybe some other attractions.

Here is what I can come up with so far:

Fisrt day of visit: Hockey Hall of fame, lunch and Richtree at BCE place, underground shopping malll walk to Eaton Centre, dinner at Medieval Time or maybe go to Laser quest.

Second day of visit: Dim Sum at an authentic Chinese restaurant for lunch, maybe visit the Chinese Pacific Mall, Rock climbing downtown, Dinner at a proper Chinese restaurant, mabye a Raptors' game at night.

Since the boys are half Asian, I thought I can expose them to the vast Asian community here. But as you can see, my second day plans are pretty empty.

I thought of Playdium in Mississauga, but I am not sure if their mother will object. I also thought of the Ontario Science Centre, but from what I heard, the Boston Science Centre is much better. Can anyone confirm that?

Can anyone think of anything else? I am trying to do a more active plan for them, but because they will be here at the end of March, I don't think there is much to do.

Any suggestion will be much appreciated!

Toronto Hotels that offer WEDDING RATES
Posted: Sun February 24, 2008 08:13 AM UTC
Hi,

My sister is getting married in Toronto in August and a large number of her family, relatives and friends are flying in from the West Coast and Asia. Can anyone recommend any decent & reasonably-priced hotels that also offer discounts for out-of-town wedding guests? What have others on here used?

I also need a recommendation for a hotel (doesn't have to be in the city) with suites that are tastefully done up where we can have a Jack & Jill party. We'd be looking to rent a suite for one night with a large livingroom/entertaining area. Has any VTer done something similar?

Thanks in advance!

Toronto TORONTO
Posted: Tue February 12, 2008 04:34 AM UTC
My Son (21) and his friend will be arriving in Toronto late March '08. As a Mum I am really concerned as to where they will stay and where they will be able to find work. My Son is a Personnel Trainer here in Australia, unsure if there is a demand for such in Toronto, alternatively he will have to find some other form of work. In addition, where are they likely to find a home with home like facilities, laundry, kitchen etc. They plan to be in Toronto for 6 months, would appreciate any suggestions from all. Hope to hear from you and thankyou. Regards. Thelma

Toronto Transportation from hotel on Airport Rd to ACC
Posted: Tue February 5, 2008 06:06 PM UTC
My daughters are heading to ACC for Spice Girls concert. They are looking for a motel on the outskirts of Toronto (Airport Rd) so they don't need to drive in the city. What is the easiest way for them to get from there to the ACC. Is there a bus route or possibly a shuttle?

I would like to have some sites of tour buses of trains that i can take from anywhere in Toronto, to Walden Galleria.

I heard there are some coach buses that take you directly to Walden Galleria, however I can't find them online. I can only find buses that take me to Buffalo, however from there, how do i find my way to Walden Galleria?

I am only planning on going on a 1 day trip (returning the same day).
