Windsor Safety in Windsor and Other questions
Posted: Sat October 20, 2007 08:31 PM UTC
Next weekend my friend and I are coming to Windsor (We are two 25 y/o females) does anyone have a certain area that they would like to recommend a hotel as far as being safe places to stay in. We only want to stay in the safe neighborhoods, is there anywhere that we should look out for while sightseeing? We will be crossing over from Detroit on the Ambassador Bridge.
Would it be better to stay in Windsor for 2 nights or stay in Detroit and visit Windsor for a day and then go back to Detroit? We are not looking to go to casinos or to drink on this trip. Thanks for your advice in advance!

Windsor Need help with planning a trip
Posted: Sun September 16, 2007 12:58 AM UTC
So it's my girlfriend's 21st bday January 1st, not to mention New Years, so I want to come up and with quite a few friends. my question is, are there any cabins around town, close enough that we can get to the bars, that can accommodate a lot of people, maybe up to 20, even if we are split up into different cabins, that would be fine!!! I just don't really want to go the hotel route, i want as many of us together as possible. thank you soo much!!!

I have to do a road trip from Windsor to Toronto in early August. I know 401 can be a boring highway, but does anyone know of any fun things to do en route? I don't mind taking a detour off 401 if needed.

Windsor Fishing Licence
Posted: Tue March 6, 2007 09:23 AM UTC
Hi, I'm planning a trip to Colchester in may and would really like to
try my hand at fishing in Lake Erie. Problem is, I'm really new to this
and just wondered what the regs are. I'm not planning anything too
exciting, just a simple rod, line and hook from the shore.
Will I require some kind of permit?
Cheers

Windsor Market Buffet Rating
Posted: Fri December 22, 2006 12:07 PM UTC
I find it strange that with most of the listings in the Windsor section, $11.00 - $20.00 US is considered About Average, but with the buffet it is considered above average. Who sets these standards and why aren't they comparable? As far as setting these standards, I would think that a full buffet at the same price as a "special" would be a better value anyway!

Do most of the clubs check ID's? Does Windsor have the law that as long as youre supervised by an adult you can drink?
Drinking by minors under adult supervision is permitted in licensed premises in the provinces of Manitoba and New Brunswick and at home in Prince Edward Island, Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan. *Drinking Laws

Windsor Summerfest & beer tent
Posted: Tue June 20, 2006 05:43 PM UTC
Hello I was just wondering if there was going to be a beer tent for the summerfest. Someone told me that there will be so I'm just asking to confirm. And if there is a beer tent, would the beer be more expensive at the tent as opposed to going to a bar? hope to hear from you soon

Windsor Landed Immigrants in Windsor
Posted: Tue October 4, 2005 12:13 PM UTC
Hi Everybody, I am a Canadian Landed Immigrant and would be moving finally to Canada shortly, I have read one or two postings here saying that some people live in Windsor and work in Detroit, are these people Canadians or Americans? In short, are landed immigrants of Canada allowed to work in Detroit or is that inter-working relationship available to holders of Canadian Passports only?
