Hi,

My wife and I will arrive in Jackson Hole airport at 3 pm this Friday. The plan is to drive to Teton, stay in a campground for 2 nights, then move to Yellowstone for 6 days.
I was told by park workers that they always have sites available in campgrounds

Friday: I guess it will be too late to do/see anything, right or wrong? Are there any places that are spectacular in the sunset or where animals come out to drink at night?

Saturday: What is the absolutely best way to spend a day in Teton? We are fit and like to hike but open to any activity.

Are there places to buy food/supplies (store, not restaurant)?

What car is better to rent? Does it make sense to get a convertible or an SUV?

We r planning to fly to Salt Lake city and then drive to Grand Teton spend two days there and then drive to Yellowstone and spend 3 days there. Can anybody guide for the cheap accomadation for 4 adults.....We r ready to stay within 50 miles radius......Since Yellowstone is very big. Do you think in order to see whole park we will have to change lodging? and i hope 3 days are ok for it..one last question how much snow i can expect on Grand Teton Mountains.....any suggesations related to lodging or anything to make our trip worth would be great .....Thanks in Advance

The website states that the Chapel was donated in 2002 in memory of Sept. 11 victims. hasn't the Chapel been there longer than that? Where can I find the history of the Chapel. Thanks,

Myself and two of my friends are intending to hike the Teton Crest Trail in August. We were hoping to park the car at the end (String Lake TH) and somehow getting a ride to the beginning (hwy 22 and Phillips Canyon Trail). Well. The question is. Is there any way that people typically do this? (public transportation/hitchhiking/etc...)

We're driving up from Salt Lake City, staying 3 nights in Jackson Hole, then driving up to West Yellowstone and staying 4 nights. Since we're going so early, the usual summer activities won't be available. Any other recommendations aside from hiking, which we will be doing. Never have been to either the Grand Teton National Park or Yellowstone. What in particular re: Grand Teton do you recommend not to miss?? We are in our mid-40's, two couples traveling together so while the Million Dollar Cowboy bar sounds fun, we don't particularly want to hang there every night. Other suggestions?

The National Park site mentions the absolute need to carry Bear Spray. Any suggestions/ comments?

Does anyone have any info regarding a possible route westward from Lower Saddle to the Teton Crest Trail, perhaps descending into the Dartmouth Cirque via Dartmouth Couloir on the West face of the Grand then proceeding west to gain the Teton Crest Trail?

I'll be attempting an ascent of the Grand via Upper Exum, then descend to Lower Saddle and hoping to proceed west (either directly or indirectly) to the Teton Crest Trail. Is this pure folly?

Any help would be most gratefully received, and if you're in the area on the night of Aug 5th, come to Snake River Brewing and I'll buy you a beer.
