Which taxi companies would be reliable for a taxi from the airport to the bus station in Targu Mures? By 'reliable' I mean that would not rip us off or take the long way around as we will be in rather a hurry to get to the bus to get our bus to Sighisoara.

We are arriving in Targu Mures airport at 14.40. Need to get to Sighisoara. Regular Buses are at 15.15 or 17.15. Think its a bit optimistic to hope to get the 15.15 but don't really want to wait that long for the 17.15.

Are there any maxitaxis at around the right time (getting taxi from airport to bus station) and about how much would the fare be to Sighisoara? Also, do they take about the same time (1 hour)?

We are arriving at Targu Mures and taking a bus from TM to Sighisoara. About how much would a taxi be from the airport to the bus station? Also, do the buses from the airport go right to the bus station or only to the city centre?

Also will be doing the same on way back so same in reverse!!!

I have a flight to T-M that arrives lately - some 10 pm. Is there any public transport at that hours?
I intend to keep T-M as my base to travel around Transilvania. Is there a rent-a-car agency that alows me to pick car at T-M and to leave it at Suceava?
I would rent it for 6-7 days.
Also, is there some nice apartment to rent in T-M for three persons (two adults with a kid).

Will be first-time roaming Romania with 2 Malaysian families( 2adults and 2kids per family), starting with Targu Mures on 28 May. We would like to head for Suceava on 29 May, and appreciate it if someone can let us know cost of chartering a maxitaxi, or maybe private 8-10 seater van(with driver), to get us from Targu Mures to Suceava, or even will consider a week-long charter if price is right. I am looking to fly into Tirgu Mures airport in June for a few days and was hoping to stay in Sighosoara or Sibiu. can someone please tell me how best to get to either of these towns from the airport? My flight out is at 6.55am so I will need to leave in the wee hours to get to the airport. Is there any public transport running throughout the night? If not, how much might it cost me for a taxi from Sighosoara to the airport?

Malev Airlines had to reroute my March 16th flight from Budapest to Cluj-Napoca to Targu-Mures. The only problem is that I don't know how I am going to get from the airport to Cluj. I can't find an actual train schedule and I get in just after the last bus leaves. I get in at 15:10 and the last bus runs at about 14:00. Any advice? How much would a taxi be considering that Cluj is only about 100 kilometers from Targu-Mures?

What forms of transport are available from the city center of Targu-Mures to the Targu-Mures airport? Is there a bus?

I am arriving at Targu Mures aiport at 22:20 on 13th March 2007 and departing again at 06:00 a few days later.
I've been looking at accomodation in Sovata, as it looks quite nice. I am looking into transport there but I have had no success. I may extend my holiday to allow for a stop over night in town, as the airport provides a bus for each flight arriving at the airport.

The rail website doesn't provide information for next year (http://www.cfr.ro/)
I've heard that some taxis can charge huge amounts of money (as in most countries)
The link on the airport website for car hire, doesn't have an english translation. I am not travelling around a lot, so hiring a car was a last resort.
Can anyone make a suggestion?

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew some names of Gypsy villages in Targu mures?
I ask because I went to one last year, with an english bloke who I cant get in contct with anymore.

Maybe if I hear some names I might remember which one!
It was like an Indian village with mud houses, and women in brightly coloured clothes.
Any names anyone?
