Cute, Safe, town, in Eau Claire area?

My family and I are from Cedarburg, Wi. We have two children under 3. We are moving to Eau Claire and were wondering what are some good towns to raise a family in the Eau Claire area? With in a 35 min. drive. Safe. Friendly. nice town.

Country Jam

Four of us are planning a trip to Eau Claire in July to spend Friday June 21st at Country Jam. We have hotel reservations through Sunday. Is there anything/place in particular we don't want to miss while we are there? We will be free all day Saturday for touring, etc.

Cabin or Lodging for Rent Eau Claire area June & July

I am looking for cabin or family appropriate lodging for 4 for one week in the months or June or July. Within 30 miles of Eau Claire area. Any insight would be much appreciated. Lake or river would be ideal. Thanks!
