What happened to the hotel? As a paranormal investigator I checked dates for check in every day until April 2009! Is the hotel under renovations? Do I just have to book like 2 years in advance? It isn't closed is it? Help is appreciated!

I might be attending a convention at the Virginia Beach Convention center in November 2008. Having never been there before I have no clue as to were this is located but seem to think it is not too far from the beach. Ihave been told th is is the off season at the beach and rates should be cheaper so would like advice as to where would be a good place to stay to have access to both the beach and the convention center so I can attend my meeting but also enjoy the beach. Hope someone would give me some advise. Thanks

We are looking to head to VA Beach in mid-September 2008 for a bachelorette party. We would prefer to rent a house or condo that can accommodate 8 women instead of getting a bunch of hotel rooms. What part of VA Beach should we be looking in? We don't want to be far from the nightlife. If hotels are in a more convenient area, which hotels should we look in to? We don't want to spend too much on lodging and a place where we can eat some meals in is what we are looking for. Any information on fun places to go as far as nightlife is appreciated as well. Hello. Me and my husbund are coming to VA beach on June 27-29 for a little get away. The only problem that we have ran into is that we are both only 20 years old and cant kind a hotel that will let us stay there because of our age. I dont know what to do and I dont think this is far. My family and I are going to virginia beach on June 9th and because of the cold weather, we are afraid the ocean water will be too cold for the kids. Can anyone tell me if they have been there this time of year and what the water was like?

I came to Virginia Beach back in the 80's and we stayed way down on the northern end of the beach in a motel - it wasn't anything fancy. I was wondering if anyone may know of this or any hotel or motel that is close or on the beach, away from the boardwalk and somewhat close to Ft. Story?

I would like to know what kids do there and what times of the day (or night?) it occurs.

Are there any historic lighthouses that are about a two hour drive from Virginia Beach? I have a friend coming from OOT and he'd like to see all the lighthouses there are around here. HE claims there's one that's about two hours from here. Thanks

I am taking my family to Virgina Beach the third week of August and have never been there. I have two hotels booked currently and need to narrow it down to one. I have two small kids (9 and 4) and I am looking for a clean place to stay on/near the strip, but not in the "Rowdy" section. I currently have a room booked at the Barclay Towers and the Four Sails. Can anyone tell me which of those two would be better?

I've been looking online and all I see are places for families. I'm looking for a quiet little sea town that has light houses and boats. I'm looking to stay away from tourists and hopefully have a romantic time. Any suggestions?

How can I get to Virginia Beach from Winchester, VA without using the Chesapeake Tunnel? I remember going through it when I was little, now not sure I can handle it?

Im a single 25 year old female who wants to relocate to a beach area in September of 2007. Im not to familiar with this area but since I was a baby my family and I have been vacationing down in OBX. I love that area but it is to remote for relocation. I recently read that Virginia beach is one of the top places to find a job and the unemployment rate is very low. I am in the hospitality business and I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to if VB is the place to move to. I love the water, I scuba dive and I am a very outdoorsy person. I love to hike and take long walks/jogs. Is Virginia Beach right for me?

How long does it take to drive from Norfolk airport to Virginia Beach on an average Friday early afternoon in August? Is the traffic heavy due to beach traffic in the summer?

I wish to know will it be too cold in VA beach around thanks giving. I did call up the visitor center they said its like 60 degree or so and generally its ok. Is there an after hours club in va beach that is strictly for bartenders and members. It's suppose to be open until 6am? Anyway just curious and what is the name? thanks

I am writing to see if there are any good barber shops in the Va Beach area. I like to get my hair cut close on the sides (fade) and a light trim on the top. I've only had bad experiences getting my hair cut in that area and am hoping somebody can point me in the right direction to a good barber. Thank you
