Sky Harbor Suites, Salt Lake City Posted: Fri July 17, 2009 06:35 PM UTC
We're traveling through Salt Lake City for a 2 night stay on return trip from Jackson, WY. August 9-11th.
Have been looking at several hotels including Sky Harbor Suites, 1876 W. North Temple.
Anybody familiar with this hotel/apt. complex?
We would prefer being close to sightseeing, including Temple. Any other suggestions?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Homer (and Ed)

PARK CITY UTAH - clean & cheap accommodation Posted: Sun January 4, 2009 02:52 AM UTC
Does anyone know of some cheap clean accommodation in Park City Utah? My son is heading over to train on the skeleton run (its a long story) and needs somewhere out of the snow for a week or two until he can organize something more permanent. He'll probably be in Park City for around 4-8 weeks. Backpackers is ok; hostels; homestay. Any help much appreciated.

New Year's Eve Posted: Wed December 17, 2008 08:51 AM UTC
I'll be in Park City over New Year's Eve and was wondering where would be the best place to spend it (dancing, champain, etc)? Someone recommended Cicero's, do you know if they have anything special for NYE? Any suggestions would be extremely helpful as I have never been to Utah before.
Thanks, Jenna

Skiing around SLC Posted: Sat February 23, 2008 12:58 PM UTC
I'll be bringing 4 avid teenaged skiers to SLC in March. They are all really good skier/snowboarders. We want to buy the Super Pass but don't know which of the ski areas close to Salt lake City are the best. Any suggestions?? Also, we're staying at the Crystal Inn at West Valley Center- any comments?? Thanks

New Years in Salt Lake City, Where is the best Night Club/Lounge to go? Posted: Tue November 6, 2007 09:37 PM UTC
So, I just learned something new about Utah. It is considered a "dry" state. In order to find a bar/nightclub that serves alcohol, you have to go to a member's only club. But I guess you can become a member at the door. Anyway, we are going to be in SLC for New Years. We're in our late 40's, like disco, r&b or jazz music. Classier the better. Wouldn't mind a place that serves dinner and has entertainment. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

How is it like there! Posted: Sat October 27, 2007 12:25 PM UTC
Hi there,
Am planning to visit SLC soon but its gonna be my 1st time ever there, I m so worried about going there especially it's gonna be my first time in the Mormon state!
Been to NY & CA & NV before but never been to Ut before, how is it like over there? what about the people there are they friendly? are they open minded? considering i m a Muslim middle eastern guy will they accept me there, i am afraid i wont be comfort there.
I might be staying there for sometime so i wanna make sure everything is gonna be OK as a start.
what about hanging out and renting flats there are the prices reasonable or like NY?
I m so worried but i wanna go, What do u think about this step?
Please give me some info about salt lake city.
Your reply is highly appreciated
God Bless
Thanks Much

National or Avis Posted: Mon April 30, 2007 12:18 PM UTC
I made a few quotaions online both for National and Avis, with p/up at SLC airport on July 15th and drop off in SFO Union Sq on July 25th.
For the exact same car (minivan for 7 people) the price is about 400 USD cheaper with National.
I have never rented a car with National before but have done it with Avis.
Does anyone know if they are reliable? Itīs a lot of money...
If anyone has had an experience, please let me know.
Thank you.

Salt Lake City Sports Bar Posted: Mon September 4, 2006 11:45 PM UTC
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best sports bar in Salt Lake City to watch NFL games on Sunday? Most important is the ability to view all the games, not necessarily food or service or anything else. Thanks.

last minute trip questions Posted: Fri July 7, 2006 09:39 PM UTC
SLC-VT!
I just found a weekend deal on travelocity to go to salt lake city for only $300 (from San Francisco). I've got some questions...
I want to see Arches -- is it close? The flight gets in Saturday morning and leaves Monday morning. Is one day enough time to see Arches, including drive time? I think the only way I can manage this is if I toured salt lake city the day i got there (sat.), turned in early and headed out to Arches at 5AM. Good idea? bad idea?
Any suggestions in general? Anybody wanna come with?

Phoenix to Salt Lake City Posted: Mon February 27, 2006 06:34 PM UTC
Greetings All:
We are planning to visit a friend this coming weekend in Salt Lake and the air tickets are, needless to say, very expensive. Google (Phoenix-Flagstaff-Vegas-SLC), Mapquest (Phoenix-Flagstaff-Page-St.George-SLC, and Yahoo (Phoenix-Vegas-SLC)all gave different directions. Can any one whose has driven in this route or know about this route give me some suggestions...
Thanks in advance...

!/2 way to ASU, where to stay Posted: Sun July 24, 2005 01:51 AM UTC
We are driving down to Phoenix in August to take my 16 year old to school. (no I will not let a 16 year old drive 1200 miles by himself) Salt Lake city is about the halfway point. We are not camping as there is no space for the camp stuff so I need a motel or more to the point a town to stay in that I can actually get out and float in the lake. What town is near the lake? Syracuse, Ogden? I have been searching but finding no answers, especially here on VT. Thanks, Ellen
