Hello there! I'm travelling by flight to Timisoara on Monday 10th August, and will be getting the train to Budapest once I land in Timisoara. I have a couple of questions: 1) How much money will an open return journey be, going from Timisoara to Budapest on the 10th and returning on the 16th? 2) What currency will I have to use? 3) Is it easy to get to Timisoara train station from Timisoara airport? Are there buses?

I moved to Timisoara from the UK a couple of months ago, for a work contract. I'm due to be here at least another 4 months. I've not yet managed to meet any British (or other English speaking) workers for a bit of social company over here. Does anyone have any recommendations on local activities or clubs that would be a good way to meet people? I'm also thinking of joining a gym, but I don't know of any yet. Any advice would be welcome. I live very close to the city centre but don't have a car at the moment. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
We are staying in Timisoara (Hotel Teesor) in May 2008 and would like to take the parents of our son's girlfriend (they are Romanian from Arad) out for a meal in a nice restaurant in Timisoara. Do you have an recommendations with web addresses where possible.

We want to make a trip Timisoara-Suceava-Moscow, taking the train N1839 from Timisoara to Suceava, and then in Suceava catching the train to Moscow (N382), going from Bucharest. Seems that neither travel agencies nor internet have informations that we urgently !!! need :
- how much days in advance tickets must be booked ?
- how much days in advance cushetes must be booked ?
- what is the exact price for the train Timisoara-Suceava (sitting places) ?
- what is the price for 2nd class (reservation with bed) for the train Suceava-Moscow ?
- whether it exists discounts for young people for these both trains ?
- when is the working time of tickets offices at railway stations in Timisoara and Suceava ?
I have booked a plane ticket from London to Budapest for next Monday the 4th of June 2007, although my destination is (my birth place) Timisoara. How do I go about catching a train from Budapest to TM. Any help will be much appreciated.
Does anybody know how to get from Timisoara to Szeged? Ar there any (un)regular buses that do this route? I know that with the train is more difficult because I have to change in Bekescsaba, but I think it's also a little more expensive. So? Anybody?
ps: I would like to go in the morning and come back in the evening
Im planning to visit Timisoara in soon and i would

or not? as i heard that it is already shut down.
I have been looking for some train or bus connection between Novi Sad and Timisoara...but i haven't found anything. Do you know if there's some possibilty to travel from Novi Sad to Timisoara? (so probably i'll have to go to Belgrade...but i would prefer to depart from Novi Sad).
Does anyone have any english language resources that list bus schedules from Timisoara to Belgrade(Serbia)? I would likely be making this trip on October 4th. Also how long is this trip between the two cities and how frequent do these buses run to/from Belgrade?

I am going to visit Timisoara on July first week for a couple of days. If any of you (beautiful ladies) have spare time, please contact me ... I need to know a lot about Timisoara and want to have fun while staying in Timisoara.
Hi,
I will be travelling to Timisoara in the early next month (... unfortunately alone). I m a kind of vegetarian. Do I have any chances of survival in Timisoara... are there vegetarian food available. ALso, what are the local delicacies I can have which does not involve meat.
Hope no-one minds me posting this up - we were told return tickets were cheaper than singles when buying these, so we've now two one way tickets between the above destinations up for grabs if anyone wants either/both. They're valid on an IC train, 2nd class, travel before August 29th (you'd still have to buy a seat reservation though, for a couple of Euros). Cost is £10 or 15 Euros each, which will save anyone doing that journey twice that much again...not to mention 3 hrs queueing in the CFR office in Timisoara, an experience of Dante-esque proportions! Anyone who's interested can email at swaggery777 at yahoo.co.uk
I wish to learn more about the city and wish to know:
Is it a nice city?
Whats the place about?
Is it safe?
Is it asuitable for a western tourist?
Has it nightlife?
Thanks
I would like to visit Timisoara next weekend. Can you please send me any info (or web links) on reaching Timisoara from Budapest ? Train or bus is reccommended ? Timetables ?
