Any recommendations for a beach holiday in Romania. We are a family hoping for a quiet spot in hotel or apartments ideally with a pool and English spoken by staff.

We have found it very difficult to find out about accommodation in Romania but we think , any help appreciated.

I will be living in Thessaloniki, Greece this fall and I was planning on visiting friends throughout Europe by using the inexpensive RyanAir, which flies out of Constanta. Any recommendations on the cheapest travel methods from Thessaloniki to Constanta? Thank you!

I am turning in a rental car in Constanta (April 18) and need to get to Varna to pick up a Bulgarian Rental car. What is the best way to do this?

It looks like I would have to back to Bucharest to get a train to Varna?

Hi is there a train that goes to Instanbul from Constanta? Does anybody know how long that will take?

In 1914 King Ferdinand and Queen Marie tried to make a match for their son, Prince Carol, with the Grand Duchess Olga of Russia. The Russian Royal Family sailed from the Crimea to Constanta to meet the Romanian Royal Family. A Te Deum was held at St. Pual and Peter and a reception was hosted at a Pavillion that was built for the occasion. I don't know whether that Pavillion was a permanent structure and still exists or whether it was a temporary structure and no longer exists. I'm doing research for a paper and would really appreciate it if someone could give me the answer to this question. Any detail or website I could go to would be appreciated.

What would be the best way of getting to Istanbul from Constanta. I am in Constata this august and need to catch a plane in Istanbul. I was hoping to do it by sea but it looks like that isnt possible. I dread train Constanta.. bucharest.. than Bucharest Istanbul

Next week we will stay a couple of nights in Constanta (Mamaia) for business. Two questions. First: Are all taxi companies reliable to go from Constanta airport to Mamaia? Second: any recommendations to spent half day excursion in Constanta city, restaurants, sightseeing walkings, etc.? Thanks.

my pal and I are going to be backpacking through ukraine to odessa in mid august. We want to experience the fun and sights at constanta romania but we're having a bit of trouble finding out how to get there, SO....

Question, whats the best way to get there, is it possible to go direct by rail, (ie not to bucharest and back out) without going through moldova, what about marsrutka, or maxitaxi, is there a ferry?

How is the Best Western in Mamaia? Is it within walking distance to everything? Thanks.

For Bucharest it was no problem, but I've searched on google and haven't found anything in Mamaia yet.

We'll be in Constanta for a few days Aug 13 -17 and then want to head to N Greece, like the N Agean/Thessaloniki. Do we have to go to Bucharest to get a train? Is it possible to get to Sofia, Bulgaria from Constanta via train and then to Greece? Also any great suggestions for the n agean area? we only have 7-8 days for Greece.

is there any possibility of crossing from constanta to varna by ferry? i will be crossing at the beginning of september. perhaps crossing by ferry would be a bit harrasing but that could be also be fun. is that possible?
