i am planing to go to hungary !! i am not romanian ,i am a resident here(student )

do i have to get visa in order to travel to hungary ?? ( i think i have to get visa )

so ,
can anyone tell me , how long does tourist visa take ?? and if i possible to tell about the working hours of the hungarian embassy !! and the required documents ? is someone has ever tried !!!!!

i was thinking about having a cruise on a ship so, i planed to travel to some contry in order to have that .....

my question is that

CAN I HAVE SOME CRUISE IN ROMANIA ( A TRIP ON A SHIP FOR SEVERAL DAYS)?? FOR EXAMPLE IN CONSTANTA IN THE BLACK SEA ?? OR I CAN NOT FIND SUCH THING IN ROMANIA ??!!

if there are cruises like that please give me info about it , and if not what is the nearest country where i can have this kind of trip ??

Hey, I'm going through Romania on a tour of the region in April and I was looking to get some input on possible itineraries. I will be in Romania from the 4 - 9, and then I am planning on taking a night train on the 9 to arrive in Belgrade the morning of the 10. Here is what I am thinking for Romania, possibly. Let me know what you think (the only thing that cannot be changed is Oradea, and the one thing to keep in mind is I want to get to Belgrade on the 10th)

Possibility #1 (minimizes train time):
4: Oradea (arrive in morning)
5: Cluj
6, 7, 8: Brasov
9: Bucharest

Possibility #2:

4: Oradea
5: Timisoara
6: Cluj
7, 8: Brasov
9: Bucharest

Thoughts? Cities / towns I should substitute in that aren't too far out of the way? I am no expert on Romania at all, and would like a good introduction to the country in the time I have.

Another debate in my head is whether I should cut a day off Romania and add it to Serbia. (Right now, for that area, my projected itinerary is 6 days in Romania, 4 days in Serbia and 3 days in Kosovo - anyone with any suggestions there is welcome to make them as well!)

i am enjoying my time in bucharest between university and fun .....

i would likto travel to HUNGARY and to SZEGED exactly for sometime and my question what is the best and the shortest way to go ...

i know there is a train goes to budapest but it would be long way if i go by train as the train goes directly -as i know- to budapest then i need to go back to szeged (because szeged in closer to romania ..just around half an hour from the romanian-hungarian borders)

so what is the best-shortest wa to go train or bus or ......

i heard that i can take the train from bucharest to arad .. then i can tke a taxi or a bus from arad to szeged ...... is that true and possible ??

please inrich my knowledge about that .....

I will be in Romania this summer and want to know if I can go directly with a bus or van from the airport (Otopeni Bucharest) to Constanta? I know I can catch a bus from the Train Station (Gara de Nord) but want to catch a bus directly from airport instead.

Voi fi in Romania in vara, este posibil sa merg cu autobus sau maxi taxi de la Otopeni pana la Constanta?

I'm booking an interrailing holiday around the Balkans in the summer, but the major stumbling block is how to get from Belgrade to Romania, avoiding Bucharest. Ideally I'd like to go to Arad, or somewhere around that area.
Is this at all possible, or is the only route between Serbia and Romania Belgrade-Bucharest?

We will be spending 5 days in Bucharest. Would like to find the name of a good agent to use for hotels and day trips. Can anyone recommend a good hotel that also has breakfast included, saves time in the morning when your running out to catch a tour.

Hi all. Im currently planning a holiday to the Brasov area in april for 7-10 days (not decided) to go hillwalking. Now i can easily find details on how to get to Brasov, but im at a loss for when on the hills.

Firstly during some earlier research i found a book with basic maps of the area, routes and locations of cabanas - But now i cant find it again. Can anybody point me in the direction of it? Or even to a source for what im after, in particular locations of the cabanas and facilities offered. But a source of routes would be a bonus to work out route plans prior to hitting the ground.

And also, im looking for information on the weather in the area for April time. I have looked at ski slope websites but they only show current data not historical.

I intend on purchasing a one-way ticket from London to Bucharest in mid-March. As I will be planning my journey largely "on the run" I have no idea of my return departure point or date.

My plan is to have a good look around Romania before moving on to countries like Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania via train.

I have found a website that says Australian passport holders must have a return ticket when landing in Bucharest otherwise they will be refused entry - does anyone have any experience or knowledge of whether this is (i) actually true, (ii) enforced??

Next May I am travelling through Romania probably from Istanbul through Romania and eventually ending in Budapest, Hungary.

We would like some ideas of places worth visiting taking in some mountain scenery, rural life, Bucharesti, Tagamures, Timsoari, Sighisoari. We would probably stay in private accommodation or hostels.

We have rail passes and so intend to do some train travel between the cities.

Any advice of a suitable route would be appreciated please.

I have a flight to catch in Timisoara, and thought 'why not have a look around Romania?'
To be honest, i have no idea about where to go and what to do in Romania since it wasn't on my plan. I have 7-10 days in Romania. I love just wondering around without aim(not sight seeing! no shopping!) and i heard place called Sibiu and Sighisoara. It sounds nice to me.

I am in Belgrade at the moment, i know there are train to timisoara from here. I am now wondering if there is a train to Sibiu or sighisoara from here and rough price of it. So far i found(from a comment posted in 2007) i have to change at timisoara and than continue to sibiu.
Also is it possible to visit Sighisoara from sibiu for a day trip?

I saw many post about timisoara to belgrade, but seems i can't find the other way.
I am looking for the price and timetable.

And also i have a catch a flight once i get there, is city center far away from airport?

I'd like to know are there any lockers on train stations in Bucuresti and Brasov where we could leave our luggage? We'd like to spend afternoon exploring these cities, but we don't want to carry all our luggage with us once we check-out of the hotel.
