Rochester Parking

Is there any long term parking near the Amtrak station? We would need to leave our car for 10 days while we travel by train.

Rochester Rochester to Niagara Falls
Posted: Tue July 4, 2006 11:48 PM UTC
I'm in Rochester later this month and I want to spend a day at Niagara Falls. Apart from travelling by Greyhound Bus can anyone offer any alternative travel advice. The Amtrak doesn't really offer any suitable times and I'd rather not have to hire a car if possible. Does anyone know if any tour companies offer day trips?

Any help will be gratefully received.

Cheers

Rochester Rochester Airport to Niagra Falls
Posted: Sat May 14, 2005 12:47 PM UTC
Later this month I have a morning free and I am looking for a way to get from the airport in Rochester to Niagra Falls for a quick look and back to the airport by around noon. I am looking for any suggestions, a short guided tour, taxi, rent a car? What is my best option. I'll only have 3-4 hours to take a quick look and be back in time to catch my flight home.

Thanks,

David

Rochester Visiting Rochester, Letchworth Park and Erie Canal
Posted: Sat August 21, 2004 08:28 AM UTC
Next month I plan on going to Rochester from NYC.
While there I plan to see Letchworth Park and Erie Canal.
Does anyone know of a hotel in Rochester that has a tour desk to take one to these other places? If not is there a tour agency in Rochester that takes you to the other places mentioned?
You see if there is then I would just take the plane up there, however, if there isn't then I would try to drive up there. The drive is like 5-7hours I understand and I have never driven for this long.
Is there any rest stop or interesting town along the way that anyone can recommend so that I can rest up for the other half of the drive?
How is the weather there in early to midst September?
Would the waters be too cold to do white water rafting in Letchworth park? Would it be to windy for ballooning?
Is there a cruise that goes into Letchworth Park?
How is traffic up there, is it as bad as NY? Can one find parking easy?
Would the laser light shows still continue past Labor Day? Are there cruises in Erie after Labor day?

I know this is a lot but your response is greatly appreciated.

So, it looks like we finally have a ferry contecting Rochester with Toronto. However I couldn't find the name of the boat. Does anyone have any ideas on what we should call this ship? My idea is "The Loyalist."
