Hi all!
I have seen in the timetable in the Maid of the Mist website that they say "American side: 15 minutes later".
My question is: is the trip exactly the same whether you board in Canada or in USA? Or is it better to cross the border and board the boat in Canada?
I have read 1000 times that Canadian side is much more impressive, but I don't know if the sights will be the same wherever you board or not.

I will be in Cleveland from August 20 through the 27th. What is the quickest way to travel to Niagra Falls and back to Cleveland during that week. Just an overnight trip.

I am travelling from the US side and would like to go to the Canada side of Niagara Falls. What documents would I need to get to Canada? I don't have a passport right now, so is there another document I can use?

Hello everybody!
We are a family of 5 travelling to USA and Canada this summer. We will arrive to Niagara by plane (Buffalo), and after visiting the falls, our plan is heading to Toronto.
I haven't been able to find how to cross to Canada!! Most of rent a car companies do not allow you to take the car from Buffalo to Toronto.
So what is the best way of moving around the area? And how can you cross to Canada with all the luggage without a rented car? Can you take a taxi or bus to the border and then another one in the other side?
Any suggestion/advise will be more than welcome.
As we travel with 3 children (1 of them only 1 year old) we would like to have something planned in advance.

Hi, I am at Connecticut and am planning to go to Niagara Falls Canadian side for a day on May 25th, 2008. Can i take a day visa to Canada side? Also i just shifted from h4 to h1 visa and need to get my h1 visa stamped if i go out of US...does this still apply if i take a 1 day visa and go to Canada. I don't want to get stuck in Canada because of visa issue. Please reply fast. Thanks

On our way back to New York from Niagara we want to stop at darian lake theme park and stay at the hotel there but as we are going early June we have been told that there may be some attractions still closed. Has anyone been there that could tell me if its worth a visit, all the family love theme parks!
Also is there anything else around to do in the evening when the park is closed.
Lastly what is the weather like in New York and Niagara end of May beginning of June?

The wife and I are planning a little winter weekend get away. We're concidering Niagara Falls for the middle of January. Airline fares are cheap and living in Florida, winter type weather is an odd treat for us.

We'd fly into Buffalo Airport. We'd really like to avoid renting a car. Since we keep hearing how much nicer it is on the Canada side, what's the best way to get from the airport to the Canada side hotels? My understanding is that we only need our photo ID and birth certificate to cross, correct?

Any suggestions on an economical hotel, places to eat, ect.?

I would like to visit Niagara Falls and would welcome any suggestion.
Which buses go there (will travelling alone since my freinds think it is crazy to go there in winter but I do not want to miss it)

Hello! i'm going to be in Niagra Falls city on 9th of June and think i'll stay there for a night. So i've got 2 questions:

1. TRANSPORTATION - i'll come by bus, then being just on foot, travelling by myself, so what is the right transportation available over there? i mean like easy transport to get to different places of interest?

2. PLACE TO STAY - someone! please! reccomend me any place to stay for a night, that would be cheap and safe.

3. JOIN ME! - may be someone from Niagra falls would be so kind to spend this day with me? showing places of interest and having fun together? That would really help me not to feel along in an unknown place.

going to NYC in two weeks, but would like to go to Niagara Falls, for two nights, were a family of five, thinking about renting a car, found out its a 400 mile drive, would like to return the car at JFK so we can take our flight that leaves at midnight, hotels recommended at the falls, is it a nice drive, best route? thks

I would like to know if Mid-May is a good time to see the Niagara in Buffalo.
Will it be too cold during that time ?
Is it worth traveling in mid-may or better to wait for some more weeks ?

Hello! I am currently planning a trip for the week of July 4th, 2007. Will that be a mistake due to over crowding? We are a family of 4, including 2 kids. We are not renting a car because we have been warned that parking is a nightmare. Without a car, I am needing to know the most inexpensive way to get from Buffalo airport to the Niagara Falls area? Also, one option for a hotel is the Holiday Inn by the Falls on the Canadian side - any comments on this hotel? Is it close to attractions considering we will have to walk everywhere??

Hi there! I am going to be travelling in NE United States in September this year and am currently trying ot plan my itenarary.

I am planning on taking a train overnight from New York city to Niagara Falls (not yet decided whether NY or Canada), and from Niagara Falls, am due to stay a week near Burlington, Vermont.

This means that I need to somehow travel from Niagara falls to Burlington. I have looked up several airlines and Amtrak with no success. Could you please help me in my predicament! I don't mind taking a train or plane. I know driving could be an option but I think it is going to be too far.

Hello, what's the best way to get to Cedar Point (theme park in Sandusky Ohio) from Niagara Falls? greyhound looks ok, but apparently it drops u in the middle of nowhere in Sandusky, anyone done this??
