Could anyone tell me the best way to get from Manchester, England to Groenlo. I am only going for the weekend to watch a football tournament so the quickest way would be better.

Gelredome Parking? Posted: Thu February 14, 2008 07:32 AM UTC
Hi
I'm going to see Anouk at the Gelredome at the end of March and I'm driving there and staying the night in a B&B
Now then, from what I can make of the Gelredome website there are 4000 spaces onsite and then 4 remote car parks with bus services to and from the Gelredome.
The problem is that the Gelredome website is all in Dutch so I'm relying on a website translation which isn't that easy to understand.
Is there someone who's been there who can clarify things for me. What's the easiest way to get there?
Thanks, Chris.

hotel nearby? Posted: Thu January 10, 2008 03:57 PM UTC
I hope to visit De Hoge Veluwe at Easter and would like a hotel which is convenient for an entrance to De Hoge Veluwe. The idea is to get in cycling practice for my teenage (beginner cyclist) daughter.
Also can anyone recommend any other good base in Holland from which to take easy cycle rides?

Want to see Springsteen Arnhem-need some help Posted: Mon October 1, 2007 09:57 PM UTC
Hi-coming to Amsterdam for honeymoon and found out Springsteen was playing in Arnhem. Have done some reading and it seems I can get to Arnhem pretty easily from Amsterdam. It seems the last train leaves around 23:53. If we get out of the show around 23:00 would there be enough time to catch the bus and then get the train back? Someone had posted when there are concerts, there is one that leaves around 00:53 and that those are not posted. I was just wondering if anyone can give me some information before I purchase these tickets. Thanks for your help. Suzanne

Nijmegen Marches July 2008 accommodation Posted: Sat September 29, 2007 12:19 PM UTC
My self and a friend (Ages +/- 56) are planning to do the Nijmegen marches in July 2008 15th - 18th. We will be travelling from Northern Ireland (Belfast) and would like some advice on accommodation during the event. We would be happy with bed and breakfast accommodation or hotel. Somewhere where we can have a bed for a few nights, a meal and a nice hot bath/shower post event. We would also be very happy to stay with a Dutch family in private accommodation. We will be using public transport for our travels. I would be very grateful if you can provide any help with this request. Our wives will be 'doing' the cultural sights of Amsterdam while we are 'doing' our research into the science of blisters and how they are created! Thank you for your help.

Visiting Het Loo and the Kroller-Muller Museum Posted: Wed August 29, 2007 03:20 AM UTC
We have booked a river trip from Amsterdam to Buderpest next year. We would like to arrive 2 or 3 days prior to departure from Amsterdam and visit the Kroller-Muller Museum and Het Loo. Once in Apeldoorn both destinations seem achievable by bike. My question how to we get from Amsterdam to Apeldoorn? I'm not keen on the idear of hiring a car. Is there a bus or train connection and if so where would they depart from?
Thanks

Library Posted: Mon August 20, 2007 03:02 AM UTC
I want to see the library in St Walburgiskerk. I have read where the hours are "irregular" and that you need a guide.
Does anybody know the hours of the library on Wednesdays and Thursdays in mid-September?
Do I need a reservation?
Many thanks

Arnhem, September Posted: Wed April 11, 2007 09:24 AM UTC
Hi,
For a very long time, I have wanted to see Arnhem and surrounding areas, mainly due to the historical importance but also, from looking on the web, it looks a beautiful area of Holland.
I plan to come for maybe 2 nights from Amsterdam by train. Then head back to Amsterdam for the weekend.
Is 2 days enough to visit most of the sights or should I leave more time?
I really want to take in as much as possible, I might even stay 3 nights just to make sure I can get to Nijmegen also.
Can anyone advise or recommend some reasonable but decent hotels in Arnhem to base myself from while here.
Oh I will be travelling alone, so I am hoping its easy to get around!
:-)
Thanks!!

Looking for a Vet - and places to walk the dog Posted: Mon April 9, 2007 01:19 PM UTC
Hi,
We are going to spend two weeks in self catering accommodation south of Zwolle, with our dog. We (and he) are English and of course he has a pet passport and microchip. On our return from Zwolle to the ferry at Ijmuiden we have to take the dog to a vet for a medical check before he is allowed back into England. Does anyone know the name and address of a helfpul vet in Zwolle? And have you suggestions for good places to take the dog (a cocker spaniel) for walks that will be interesting for humans? Any other tips about Zwolle and Gelderland welcome - we'll have a car with us.
My Dutch isn't good - answers in English or German please Thank you, David

Could you tell me how to get to the famous Bridge of Arnhem ?
I am sure we will not do it all on the one visit. We will look and decide which we will give priority . We need more time but don't have it.

Visiting Arnhem Directions Posted: Sun March 11, 2007 11:43 AM UTC
Good Morning. Myself and a friend will be visiting Amsterdam between 25th and 30th March. We would like to take one day out to visit Arnhem, especially Oosterbeek Cemetery, Airborne Museum, Kroller Muller Museum in Hoge Veluwe National Park and around the town of Arnhem itself. I know this will be a lot to see in the one day but we will do our best depending on transport. We will take a train from Amsterdam Central to Arnhem. Can anybody help us from there with details of public transport from Arnhem Station to the various places, then walking directions from getting off the bus/train etc ? Because of the short time we have we need to be prepared and not having to find out directions when we arrive. Thanks in anticipation Sandy x

Help/suggestions Posted: Wed February 7, 2007 11:50 AM UTC
I'm thinking of staying in Holland for the U21 football championships in June. I have been to Amsterdam and Arnhem a few times, as well as Rotterdam. Rather than just decide to base myself in Arnhem, which is a lovely city, but I think I have seen all there is to see with regard to bars, nightlife, restaurants etc. Is Nijmegan the same as Arnhem, or does it have more to offer? Or would you suggest I base myself in Eindhoven, as thats where my flight takes me too. I like to see new places all the time and I'm not knocking Arnhem, as I love it and have great friends there, I've just got a bit of that, "seen it, done it" feeling about basing myself there. I'd welcome any suggestions and reasons why to stay at any of the 3 cities I've mentioned.
Thanks
