Boston Logan Airport Terminal Connections
Posted: Wed May 13, 2009 04:59 AM UTC
Hello, I have a tight connection time between an International Arrival @ Terminal E (Iberia) and Cape Air departure from Terminal C. Only 70min in between arrival and departure. I will only have carry-on luggage.
My question: is this connection possible? I see online that T-E and T-C seem to be connected; is this true?
Any recommendations on getting from T-E to T-C would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Boston Tourist from UK visiting Boston in September 09
Posted: Thu May 7, 2009 03:25 PM UTC
Hi all,

My wife and I are visiting Boston in September for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and are staying in a hotel Chandler Street which I understand is part of the Back Bay Area.
I would like to know how safe it is for us to walk the streets around that area, by day and night?.
I would also like to know whether it is possible to walk to Downtown Boston (Quincy Market etc) from Chandler Street or is it advisable to get public transport and if the latter, what transport is best to get?.

With thanks to all for any help and guidance.

Boston Trying to use my hotel points for one of two nights.
Posted: Fri April 3, 2009 04:39 PM UTC
Would a hotel in BrainTree be a reasonable place to stay, as long as they have a free shuttle that will take you to the subway stop? We'll probably have to take a taxi to the hotel from the subway stop after our flight, I'm guessing.

I'm 50, solo, no car, looking for mid-priced hotel ($200 or less) which is quiet yet near subway. Does subway close at midnight? I will be attending my first Fenway game, but don't want to hear drunken partygoers under my window all night! Thanks for your help.

Boston Boston to Bethel, Maine
Posted: Thu March 5, 2009 05:57 AM UTC
Hi everyone...

What's the best way to get from Logan Airport to Bethel, Maine? Bethel is a small town east of Concord (it's straight west of Augusta). My brother's flying into Logan and is hoping to catch a bus out of Boston to meet his wife in Bethel...

Any recommendations? We've found the bus to Concord but can't figure out how to get him further west.

Thanks in advance!

Boston Towns close(ish) to Boston with nice hotels??
Posted: Tue February 17, 2009 02:08 PM UTC
I'm arriving in Boston on 30 April. Hotel rates in the city are pretty high so I'm thinking of staying outside the city instead and looking for recommendations.

Ideally I'm looking for somewhere with a 3/4 star hotel that's close to a train or bus station so we can get to Boston easily (less than an hour's journey and regular connections). I was thinking somewhere close to the sea too (not fussy at all I know!) so we could spend a day or two exploring the coast - I'm happy to hire a car but don't want to drive in downtown Boston!

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks :)

Boston Logan to Quincy
Posted: Wed February 4, 2009 09:17 PM UTC
Just looking for some advice on the best/most cost efficient way to commute with luggage from Logan to Quincy. I noticed on the MBTA website that there is a shuttle boat service that goes from Logan to the Fore River shipyard, but I'm sure I'd have to get a taxi from there. Would it be better to do that or take the subway from Logan to Quincy Adams with luggage or mabye something else?

Boston Boston - things to do
Posted: Mon February 2, 2009 09:09 PM UTC
I will be coming to Boston for a winter weekend, staying at the Westin Boston Waterfront, 425 Summer Street.

I need ideas re: places to go and things to see. I will be traveling alone, like walking tours, and love historic places. Also interested in ideas re: unique or historic eating places.

I will be at a conference, but will have a couple of hours here and there to explore the city.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Boston Ideas???
Posted: Sun January 18, 2009 01:55 AM UTC
I have the first two weeks off work in February and am about to book to come over to Boston to meet a friend. I will spend the weekends with her in Boston but plan to travel up to New York for a few days. How many days would you spend in New York (especially if your by yourself)? Is there anywhere else you would go to in the area that is not too expensive? Is there anywhere resonably cheap to go skiing near by?

Boston Family accomodation in Boston
Posted: Mon January 12, 2009 10:00 PM UTC
We visited NYC a few years ago with our two kids (then aged 5 and 8) and stayed in Radio City apartments which were a little shabby but fine and ideally located, plus had a mini kitchen which great.
Four years on, we have the opportunity to visit my sister in Connecticut, and would like to stop off in Boston for a few days in late July.
Is there anywhere well situated in Boston that does similar accomodation? Also is Boston as compact as central Manhattan for attractions etc.
Also is there such a great variety of food available.

We're coming from UK by the way, also hoping for week in Maine posibly Acadia.

Cheers

Boston Cheap B&B Accommodation for Boston Marathon 2009
Posted: Thu December 4, 2008 06:05 PM UTC
Hello!

I will be flying across to Boston from London to run the Boston Marathon from April 17th-21st next year and have been trying to track down some cheap accommodation to use for the event as i'm not really in the position to pay $200 a night for a hotel. Can anyone recommend cheap hotels, hostels or b&b's in the Boston area? Downtown Boston would be best but as long as i can get in to the centre using public transport then anywhere would be fine!

Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Boston Help find the duck shirts1
Posted: Sat November 22, 2008 02:03 PM UTC
Does anyone know the name or how to contact the merchant in Quincy Market that sells the adorable "Make Way for Duckling Shirts" where the child's name is added while you wait? They also sell the books and the shirts come in both long and short sleeve. It is such a unique item and I buy them on every trip to Boston but have lost their card to order more. They make wonderful baby gifts. They are located in a kiosk in Quincy Market.
