How many train stubs does it take to go from Copehagen to Roskilde, and do you have to stub it again when you get to Central station?

Copenhagen 4 Days in Copenhagen
Posted: Sun May 4, 2008 02:07 PM UTC
Hello everyone.
I've been invited to visit Copenhagen in 2 weeks time. I will be staying for about 4 days. Could anyone advise me how to make the most of my short stay? I obviously won't be able to see/do it all in just a long weekend. What I would like, therefore, is for someone to help me complete my list of "essential" Copenhagen :

Don't leave Copenhagen until you have seen/done the following things:
1.

Many thanks in advance for your help,
ParisAnglo

PS This will be my second time in Scandinavia. Recently I visited Stockholm. I liked it so much that I'm coming back to Scandinavia for more :-))

Copenhagen Where to stay and what's to do after 3+ days in Copenhagen 2 years ago?
Posted: Mon April 14, 2008 04:50 PM UTC
My wife and I (mid-50s) are about to book a two-week North Cape cruise in mid-to-late June, 2008 which ends in Copenhagen. As we're traveling on airline miles, we are stuck in CPH because of free seat shortages for an unnecessary two days, 6/24/-26/08. Yet, we've already been there two years ago for 4 days, stayed near Nyhavn and saw most major tourist sites, including a train trip north and back to Helsingfors, Frydensborg and the like.

Where can we stay at reasonable cost (near Nyhavn, Amalienborg or the port) and what side trips can we take to fill up our extra two days? Thanks, Henry.

Copenhagen Around the sound ticket
Posted: Mon April 14, 2008 10:42 AM UTC
Hello everybody !

I'm planning the next trip (Copenhagen and Malmo, May 2008) and I know that the
"Around the sound" ticket (valid for 48 hours) is a good choice in order to visit some locations in the Skåne/Oresund area.
I know exactly what can I do with this ticket and the main crossing condition (one way Oresund bridge / one way ferry to/from Helsingborg to/from Helsingør); my question is about the price (I will buy it in Copenhagen). I know that it's a Skånetrafiken offer (I think it's more valuable than a CHP card), but official information isn't quite clear : "Tickets can be bought in connection with airfare booking starting at 249 SEK (approx. 27 EUR) or at the Copenhagen Tourist Information, Denmark and at any ticket counters operated by Skånetrafiken, starting at 199 SKK".
So, please tell me how much is this ticket in Copenhagen ? Are there (airport/Tourist Information) Skånetrafiken counters ? Can I buy it in Swedish currency ?

Thank you very much in advance.

this may sound silly, but you had a private bath/toilet? I need a quiet place to sleep; was there street noise? paper-thin walls? This place sounds like it was far away from the noisy Red Light District (that's
good). I like to walk, so I don't mind the 20 min. walk to downtown at all. what was the price, if you don't mind if I ask? thank you.

is there a private bath/toilet in each room? is this near the Red Light District? is there a lot
of noise from the street at night? are the walls as thin as cardboard? in other words, is this
a quiet place to get a good night's sleep? and how much did you pay per night, and in which
month and year? thank you for your help.

Copenhagen transportation from cruise terminal to airport
Posted: Sun April 6, 2008 12:35 AM UTC
Does anyone know how much the cab fare is from the cruise terminal to the airport? Also, how long is the ride & is there a better method to get to the airport? Since I did not book my cruise with my airfare, there is no shuttle offered.

Copenhagen round trip from US with stopover along the way...

Can anyone say if this is possible? I would like to buy a round trip ticket to Helsinki from US but stop over in Copenhagen for about 15 days before continuing to Helsinki. I would want to fly home from Helsinki back to US. Will the airlines arrange a round trip ticket with a stopever such as this?

Copenhagen Transportation for 6 people from airport to hotel and from cruise port to airport.
Posted: Fri April 4, 2008 01:24 AM UTC
We are a group of 6 arriving in Copenhagen at the end of August to take a cruise. We are arriving a day early and need transportation from the airport to our hotel. Also will need transportaion from hotel to cruise port and from port to airport. Is there any shuttle service that can accomodate 6 people with luggage available? We have 2 people that have some medical problems so they would not be able to pull their luggage for long distances so I am not sure that we could use the train unless the train station is very close to where we get our luggage at the airport. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Copenhagen Coming to Copenhagen
Posted: Tue April 1, 2008 01:24 PM UTC
I'm arriving Sunday, April 6th, early in the morning and want to hit the ground running. I am coming for work Monday - Wednesday but will have time to sightsee on Sunday and possibly in the evenings the rest of my visit. I don't know if my Danish colleagues have any plans for me during the week so I wouldn't know until last minute if the evenings are open. Sunday is wide open from about mid-morning. First time there so want to do the typical sightseeing on Sunday and have already done much research. Any locals interested in tagging along / giving an introduction to Copenhagen?

Cachaseiro if you are reading this and have time, I would take up your offer for a beer or two.

Copenhagen Traveling to Copenhagen in April 2008
Posted: Sat March 8, 2008 01:53 AM UTC
Hi there,

I'll be traveling to Copenhagen with my wife on April 2008. I'll be coming in from Stockholm and thinking of staying in Copenhagen for around 4-5 days. Does anyone knows the minimum days you need to explore Copenhagen? Is 4 or 5 days enough?

I've not confirmed any acommodation and can anyone advice on any cheap/budget stays in Copenhagen? I am looking for a double private room (Whether 1 or 2 stars hotel or hostel or B&B).

This will be my 1st time traveling to Copenhagen. Any suggested itinerary or any not-to-be missed places to visit? How about getting around Copenhagen? Do I need to buy the Copenhagen Card or any multi-passes for the public transport? What's the best way to explore the city? I've heard people said by foot or bicycle is one of the best way to explore the city.

Any advice and suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Copenhagen Looking for a B&B in the Hellerod area
Posted: Sun March 2, 2008 03:21 AM UTC
Hi everyone, my husband and I are arriving in Copenhagen at 7am on Wed, May 28th. We are thinking that we would rent a car and drive north to see the countryside and some of the castles. We also thought it would be nice to stay in a B&B...perhaps a cottage, farm or castle.
We then anticipate heading back down to Copenhagen the next day and spending the balance of Thurs/Fri in Copenhagen. (Our ship departs late afternoon on Friday.)
Can anyone make some suggestions of where to stay and what to see with the little time that we have? We are huge photographers and love castles!
As a side note, does anyone know how warm it will be?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Copenhagen Mexican restaurant possible Canadian owners
Posted: Thu February 28, 2008 12:48 PM UTC
I am looking for a Mexican restaurant that may be owned by a Canadian.

The restaurant is unique in that certain tables have a draught tower in the centre and you can pour your own beer and pay for the amount you have drunk when finished.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
