We're being offered a beer tasting on a river boat cruise that stops in Bamberg. Do we really need a tour to do that? Couldn't we just as well stroll in the town and choose where we want to go?

Hi, there is a group of eight of us visiting Bamberg in June and we are looking for somewhere cheap - really cheap! - to stay! We have tried the backpackersbamberg hostel but they are only available to take the eight of us for one night out of the two...We can not seem to find any other hostel besides this one.... Thanks for any help.

Earlier this year I visited Bamberg and purchased a hat- a woollen cap. I am very pleased with it and should like to purchase another. I have lost the address of the shop and will be grateful if someone can provide me with the information I need: i.e. name of shop, telephone number, e-mail address.

The shop window had the sign "HOLLAND" in the window and "WEGENER".

The shop is situated on the left side of a street leading acroos the bridge towards the Cathedral

How far a walk is the Dom from the train station? Is there an easy to use bus perhaps. We may be visiting in November and I really want to the the Dom, but the wife is not too fond of walking long distances.
