Miami Newport Beachside or Circa 39?
Posted: Fri October 30, 2009 05:52 PM UTC
Hello! My husband and I (30-ish) are planning a 4 night stay in the Miami area in November. I will be six months pregnant, so we're not looking for a wild and crazy time. We want a clean place that is close to the beach. We have reservations at Newport Beachside, but now I'm wondering if we won't like that location. Will we need to drive every time we leave the hotel?
Would we be happier at Circa 39? I found a cheaper rate there.
Thanks for your feedback!

Miami Public Transportation from Port to Airport?
Posted: Wed October 28, 2009 06:54 PM UTC
I am trying to make sense of the Miami transit map and cannot figure this out. Is there a relatively easy way to get from the port of Miami to Miami International Airport via a bus or train?

TIA!

Miami Getting from fort lauderdale tri-rail station to Port everglades
Posted: Mon October 26, 2009 01:44 PM UTC
Greetings from Israel :O)

I'm coming to an ms-holland cruise on march 2010. I'll stay at the regency airport hotel a day before the cruise, And then I need to get to Port Everglades.
I'm looking for a cheap way to get there, Since ms-holland shuttle will cost 60$, And a cab will cost 75$.
I saw the option to take a tri-rail train that takes me till fort lauderdale airport, And wondered if there's a cheap shuttle or something similiar I can take to get from there to Port Everglades.

Thank you :O)

Miami Holiday to Miami - help! :o)
Posted: Thu October 8, 2009 07:33 PM UTC
Hey!

I'm in need for some advice - me and 3 of my girlfriends all turn 21 next year and want to celebrate big time! I've never been abroad before so this is all quite new to me so I'm in need of some help!

Our holiday aim is to have a lot of fun within the 2 weeks were there, hopefully commencing in July 2010.

Our budget will be £1000! Could you give me some information on where's hot and where's not but would ideally like the cheapest option.

We're thinking about renting an apartment, is this a good idea?
How expensive are the clubs and pubs?
How do we get about..i.e public transport?
Where is the best place to eat?
Also could you tell us roughly how much we will need to take i.e overall budget

Thank you very much in advance.

Miami New Year's in Miami
Posted: Sat September 19, 2009 04:27 PM UTC
Looks like I will be in Miami on New Year's Eve. Half of us are moderate drinkers, half don't drink at all. Is there anything extraordinary going on? We'll probably be staying near the airport. Do stores and restaurants close early on New Year's Eve? Do the restaurants close for private parties? Thanks- I'd appreciate any info.

Miami Has anyone else had trouble with their GoMiami card?
Posted: Tue July 21, 2009 05:24 PM UTC
We are on vacation in Miami and paid almost $300 for Go Miami cards and have run into a lot of trouble. Infinity tours has been a nightmare. Wondering if this is a common thing? Were we scammed? We were planning on buying a goChicago card before this happened for our next trip, but after having more than one big issue with it we aren't sure what our next course of action should be. This has ruined our honeymoon and the both Infinity and GoMiami's office do not seem to care. They both hung up and put me on permanent hold during my first few tries. Any advice would help! I would hate to see this happen to someone else. We work very hard to earn a living, and $300 isn't something we just want to throw out the window. I've been told to just fill out paperwork and we may get some kind of refund, but considering the way we were talked to on the phone I don't know. How can we prevent this from happening to other people? How can we get them to make this right? We are still on vacation... at least what's left of it.

Miami Affordable Miami hotel and nightlife and cruise
Posted: Sun June 28, 2009 09:37 PM UTC
Hi!

#1 I am going on a cruise in October and needed a hotel for the Friday night before. I would like the hotel to be close enough to the beach and nightlife; we would like something affordable or cheap, but not sleazy. Also, how far away is that area from where we embark on the cruise? What is the best way to get to the cruise, should we arrange it with the ship or get there on our own?

#2 I would love to experience Miami nightlife, but am not really into posh clubs or scenes. I want to have a great time, drink, listen to music, eat great food, but in a more casual environment. What do you recommend?

#3 We might be there on Halloween if we stay the saturday night we get in from our cruise; what do you recommend?

Thanks!!!

Miami Key West Ferry Pricing
Posted: Mon May 18, 2009 05:42 PM UTC
In your online information there are 2 different prices for the ferry boat from Miami to Key West. One says $48.00 per person, 1-way and the other says $138.00 R/T which does not equal $48.00 per person, 1-way. Which one is the correct price?

Miami Travel Miami question
Posted: Tue May 5, 2009 10:55 AM UTC
Hi,

I am planning to be in miami for 4 days. I'll have a rented car from the first day. The plan is to be 2 nights at maimi which after the second night early morning go south to key west and stopping in the islands on the way.

I have some questions:
1) If I have a car which area is recommanded to sleep in for about 100$ room for a night that will be easy to go to miami beach?
2) Where do I place the car? Is it easy to find parking?
3) Is there a place between Orlando and Miami that nice to visit for a stop of one night?

Thank you, Yael

Miami hollywood beach to south beach
Posted: Tue April 28, 2009 07:37 PM UTC
Hi,

I'm due to be arriving in Miami in a couple of weeks and am staying at the Ramada hotel on Hollywood Beach. I was hoping that someone could tell me what the best public transport based option of getting down into the city centre (or south beach) is ??

I definitely won't be hiring a car as I've prob only got 2 half days free in the 5 days that I'm there, but was hoping to find out how to head off on my own during those half days to get into the city to see some sights.

Any advice is welcome !!

Thanks in advance,
Darren

Miami Motel/Appartment in Miami Downtown
Posted: Thu March 19, 2009 12:16 AM UTC
Hello there,

please find below a question about 1 Motel or Appartment in Miami Downtown.
I think Miami Beach would be too expensive, isn't it?

I will travel to Miami next Wednesday by plane (25th.) and have to find a cheap accomodation until the 31st of March.

Do you know some opportunities to stay there for some days? We are 2 people and would need a double room. As far as possible within breakfast. Price shouldn't exceed 40$ a day.

Do you have an idea where I could find accomodation considering low budget??

Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Dominik

Miami Good cheap accommodation in Miami, Florida.
Posted: Thu February 26, 2009 06:29 PM UTC
My husband and I and our 7 year old daughter are stopping over in Miami for one day en route to Boston.

We have been looking at places to stay and have seen some likely hotel/hostel type places with reasonable reviews, but in every bunch of good reviews there are always at least two horror stories; BED BUGS, cockroaches etc. Bedbugs would definitely not be anyone's idea of a good time....

Can any travelers recommend a good cheap clean place for us? We are not cleanliness freaks, just not interested in sleeping with wildlife.....would be cool if it was close to the beach.

Miami taking infants to a baseball game
Posted: Sun February 1, 2009 02:48 PM UTC
would anyone be able to tell me if its ok to take an infant (will be almost 2 when we go) to a baseball game in Miami?

I know it seems a stupid question but when I am looking on the websites to book tickets, if does not have the option or information regarding children or infants.

Its a dream to see a game but we want to do it as a family and not me on my own. Also wanted to know if you could take an infant, do you need to pay for them or would it be like anywhere else when the child is under 3?

Infact would you even consider it suitable to take such a small child to a game?
