Sanibel, Captiva, Marco or Ft. Myers beach

My wife and I are going down to the gulf side of Florida this December with another couple. We want to be on a nice beach, with access to 20-somethings nightlife (i.e. fun bars...but not too crazy). I'm considering Sanibel, Captiva, Marco and Ft. Myers beach, and am wondering where would be the best fit for the four of us? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sand dollars

We will be arriving in Marco the later part of March and my 13 year old daughter really wants to find sand dollars. Does anyone know the best time and place to find these? Thank you so very much for all your help :)

How is the weather on Marco Island in June?

I am planning a trip to Marco the last week in June, and someone told me it is the rainy season there. Can anyone comment on how often it rains, and is it usually late afternoon or morning?

Will appreciate your opinion

My 93 yr old [step]mother-in-law wants to give us a first floor beachfront Week 34 last week in August]timeshare [2 BR]at the Club Regency on Marco Island. I've trolled the Net and gleaned a lot of information about the place, but I am suspicious. Her husband bought it years ago and they rented it out when they could but they never visited it. Hed listed it for sale a few years before he died, but it never sold. I'm interested in it for business clients but I don't want to take on a dog and subject others to it, especially those who pay my bills. My investment would be minimal in terms of bucks, but I could lose bucks with the wrong type place.

Does anyone have first hand personal knowledge of the Club Regency? It appears to be a 2 story troglodyte in a neighborhood of burgeoning high rises. Is my paranoia or suspicion well-founded about this place??

Hi, We are staying at the Marco Island Hilton Resort for two weeks at the end of September, from the UK.
We would really appreciate any information on restaurants (reasonably priced) near the hotel where we can eat out.
Also any other advice on things to do on Marco Island would be really appreciated. We have two older ladies with us (65)
