Is Cocoa beach a good choice for family with young teenagers. We were going to go to Daytona (last week in june) but there is national cheerleading comp. Im guessing Daytona would be crazy. Is there plenty to do here. Thanks in advance.

Hey there, I am about to move close to the beach where I can just walk to the ocean. I've been planning on cocoa beach since it's only a 35-40 min drive to Orlando (where I work and my family lives) and I wanted to know if there is anything I should know before buyin a home over there. Like how's the life over there, the people, and is there any drawbacks to living in cocoa beach? Thanks in advance!

My family and I are going on a cruise, leaving from Port Canaveral on Dec. 23. We will be staying at the Doubletree, Cocoa Beach, the night of the 22nd and need a limo, if possible, for 5 adults and 3 small children to take us to the ship. Any ideas from any of you? Thank you in advance for your help.

My wife & I are taking the kids to Orlando in late May and want to take a side trip to Cocoa Beach for one day. Can anyone help me with information about:
1. Public Beach Access, preferably with umbrella & chair rentals?
2. Any recommended restaurants for eating lunch or dinner at (on the beach)?
3. Other recommendations for fun Cocoa Beach activities (besides the Space Center)?
Thanks!

It's our first time to Cocoa Beach and I'm wondering how the water is around the first week of February? I know what the websites say but I want a locals opinion! Also--any fun activities I should know about? We are all in our 20's and want more than just bars!

Hello,
We are coming to Port Canaveral on a cruise ship from NYC. What is the best way to get to cocoa beach? Are there taxis available? Or maybe there is a beach in a walking distance from port?
Thank You

My kids have spring break March 10-17. We want to visit but is Cocoa Beach going to be like a college town at that time? Would you recommend not coming to Cocoa Beach at that time unless you are a college student? Thanks for any information you can give me!

Our girls soccer team is going to be playing at the Cocoa Beach Expo Center in late April, and several familes are looking to find a laid back, family friendly place on the Beach. We don't need to be in the center of it all. One place, Beach Island Resort at 1125 S. Atlantic Avenue looks like a great place.
Any comments about this place? You can e-mail directly mmonte@burlingtontelecom.net

Hi, I am planing a trip to Cocoa Beach in two weeks. I would like to know where the fun night spots are and despite the fact that the idea of surfing frightens me, I am also interested in learning how to surf. I am looking to have an adventure, any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Floridians! We are visiting a (according to reviews) great timeshare in Cocoa Beach (The Resort on Cocoa Beach) next month for a week. I read the reviews on the timeshare, and they were excellent. I do need some advice from all of you for other things.
I will have my wife, 23 year old cousin (babysitter!), 10 year old, 5 year old and 20 month old. Can you help me with:
1. How is the water temperature in the ocean in December? Places to rent water activities?
2. Kid friendly restaraunts in the area.
3. Which major theme park would be best to visit and do you have access/sources to coupons (although I usually can find them on EBay)?
4. Any local kid friendly activities?
5. For the nights we get quiet time, I would love a great sushi place or restaraunt with vegetarian entrees for my wife.
Thank you in advance for your help!!

We're looking at the Best Western in Cocoa Beach/Space Shuttle area for the beginning of March. Does anyone have suggestions about things to do with a toddler in that area? Not Disney, though. What are the beaches like? Any favorites? We'll have a rental car so we can travel around the area a bit. Zoos?Aquariums?Great Playgrounds? Thanks, Courtney
