My family is visiting good friends in the US in late September and will round up with a week's vacation in either Clearwater Beach or the Bahamas.

Is the weather okay then? We come from Sweden and definitely want to hang in the sun on the beach. How warm is it usually in Clearwater Beach at this time? Is there a nice beach front hotel which suits a family like ours, with two small kids?

I would really appreciate any thoughts upon this.

Thank you in advance,

Sanna

My family is visiting Florida next week and we'll be staying in Orlando. We went to Cocoa Beach last year and it was nice, but I've heard beaches on the Gulf Coast are nicer, blue water, white sand, etc. I don't want to drive 4 hours to a beach but am willing to drive 2 hours. Any recommendations for a blue water beach over on the Gulf Coast?

Hi everyone
I'll be in the area at the end of February of 2011. I have 3 day conference at Clearwater beach Sheraton. I want to come to Florida 2 days before the conference, to rent a car and explore the area a little (Salvador Dali museum etc.). I don't know what to do with car after that: to leave it for more 3 days to go some places on the evenings after confernece day, or to return it and just stay at the hotel and surrounding area. What is the traffic conditions at weekday evenings (after 5 pm), is it a lot of traffi jams? Where could you recommend to drive? I'm interested the mostly in sightseeing, less in the night life. So may be some places with special sunset? or interesting neon lights game? Any ideas?

Thank you in advance
Ilya

I'm a true bargain hunter and won't buy anything without coupons. Obviously I'm out of my comfort zone on vacation. Anyone have tips on where to find the best coupons for attractions (big one), or even grocery coupons? We have a large family going and need to save as much as possible. More specifically, is it possibly to obtain discounted tickets to Busch Gardens?

Hi,

Looking to spend some time at Clearwater Beach and would really enjoy a nice place with a boardwalk along the beach... looking for nice place for two, perhaps more quiet than others, if that's possible there. Thanks!

I am planning a "date" with my husband in Clearwater Beach or the Tampa area. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice (preferably contemporary) bed and breakfast or hotel in that area? We like the Kingston hotels (particularly the Rouge in Washington DC, however I didn't find any of those in that area). Any suggestions and/or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :-)

Hi
We are travelling from the UK, doing the parks in Orlando, in February. My wife has, dare I say, her 40th birthday then. I am looking to suprise her with a luxury beach hotel in the Clearwater area.
Has anyone any suggestions of a good hotel or any other ideas for a great suprise.

Looking forward to your replies.

Steve

I have 2 questions, can someone please give me the names of some nice hotels near Pier 60. We will be coming to Clearwater Beach in late March with a 12 yr. old & a 9 month old & really don't want to have to do too much driving while there if possible.
Also, how busy is Clearwater during March, is that the peak of "Spring Break"?
Thank you for your help!

I am visiting Orlando on Thursday and my boyfriend and I aren't really thrilled about the theme parks but are more interested in Florida Beaches. Which beaches are close to Orlando? I was reading up on Clearwater and Honeymoon Island. I want something a little less crowded than Daytona.

Thanks
Shaun
