Clearwater Transportation from PIE to Sand Key

What would be a good "shuttle" or public transportation to get from St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport to the Marriott on Sand Key? Would rather not rent a car.

Clearwater Relocating for new job
Posted: Mon March 28, 2005 01:49 AM UTC
I just got a job in Clearwater/St. Pete (right off of 275 at Ulmerton Rd)and will be moving to a new apartment in June. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for apartments or good areas to look for apartments in the St. Pete/Clearwater/South Tampa area. I'm 24 and single, with no children, so I'm not worried about good schools or anything, just areas to live where I would find other "young professionals." I have friends who live in the New Tampa/Tampa Palms area and also make the occasional commute to Lakeland, so I would like something that would make those visits not too painful as well, but still have a nice commute to work. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Clearwater Another person moving to Florida
Posted: Mon April 26, 2004 05:17 PM UTC
Hi everybody,

So, Ok, I'm another person who's planning to move to Florida.

I'm most interested in areas North of Clearwater because I don't want to have to drive those bridges across the bay any time I want to head East. I know what the traffic can be like and would prefer to avoid it if at all possible.

Plus, I think being closer to the Gulf would be better weather-wise, more breezes, hopefully cooler temps, and of course, access to the beaches... Or am I totally wrong about the weather thing?

I'm eager to get everyone's opinion on area's they would or would not recommend and why.

This is your chance to spout off, tell it like it is, go for it!

Also, my boyfriend is from Venice, Italy. Does anyone know of any really strong Italian/American communities in the area?

Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Grazie,
Liliana

Clearwater Transportation From Ybor City
Posted: Fri April 23, 2004 04:54 PM UTC
Hi there,

Other than a rental car, can anyone recommend some options for returning to Clearwater from Ybor City? I'd quite like to spend a Saturday night there and have a few beers, thus ruling out driving. Is there a bus? How much would a taxi cost?

Many thanks for any replies in advance!

- Best regards,
Lee

Clearwater Relocate to Clearwater?
Posted: Thu February 19, 2004 08:34 AM UTC
Hello,

I would like to relocate with my 3 small children and husband to clearwater from the midwest. Can you share any good family info you might have? Schools, crime, cost of living etc. I've done all the online research, but don't trust it completely. I'd like to know what real people have to say. I live in a small town in Illinois, few jobs, low pay, high rent, high taxes, terrible schools, bad weather and rude snotty people. I would like insight on the quality of life in Clearwater. Also, my husband and I both work in the IT field. Does anyone have any thoughts on IT job availability in the area?

Thank you,
Tracy

Clearwater Whats the weather like right now??
Posted: Sun January 11, 2004 09:19 PM UTC
Hi all :)
My hubby and I will be winging our way to Tampa, then on to Clearwater beach in a couple of days. What's the weather like right now? Did that cold front give you bad weather (We had unseasonably warm weather for several days then pow!!! snow!)
Is Busch Gdn's a good spot to visit now? How about Sanibel Beach for shells??
Thanks, Meenie :)

Clearwater January in Clearwater! Any suggestions?
Posted: Sat December 20, 2003 09:37 PM UTC
Hi,
We've decided on a mid January mini vacation to Clearwater Beach. We like the beach and ours is darn cold! (Virginia Beach area, Chesapeake Bay and the oceanfront)
We'd like to do some shelling, possibly at Sanibel Island for a day trip?
We have no idea if all the attractions, cruises, snorkeling etc run in January, do they?
How about Pier 60. They say it goes on all year, is it good?
Thanks so much! :)

Clearwater Want a nice on the beach hotel...
Posted: Fri October 3, 2003 11:42 PM UTC
Hi,
My husband and I are thinking of taking a little vacation in January to Florida and are looking at Clearwater Beach. We'd be renting a car and going into Tampa - is it far? Any recommendations as to a hotel on the beach? I like to be able to walk right out onto the beach :) Are the beaches there nice? We're a couple of older empty-nesters so while we don't mind kids, we aren't looking for a "Ronald McDonald" kind of place :) But don't want to pay an exhorbitant amount either.
Any good tips on the area would sure be appreciated.
Thanks!

Clearwater Relocating to Clearwater
Posted: Fri August 15, 2003 05:24 PM UTC
My husband and I are seriously considering relocating to Clearwater from PA in February. He was recently laid off from his job and if we have to start over it may as well be in a warm, sunny place. 3 questions: 1)Are the schools good? 2)What sections are most family oriented? 3)What is the unemployment situation like there? I am an Administrative Asst. and my husband is a printer. Any advice on search for a job from PA?

A friend and I are moving from Springfield, Mo to Tampa/Clearwater in the beginning of August...I wanted to know what are some good apartments for around $600-800 for 2 bed/2 bath, and which is better between the two cities. I want to be near the beach (5-10 min away is okay) I will transfer to the Outback Steakhouse down there, so finding a job is no problem...Help!
