We will be in Bakersfield, California on August 4-5. Suggestions for what to do and see there for my 15 year old daughter...I will be with a friend on a Search And Rescue simulated operation (if I can find something to occupy my daughter for a few hours ;O)) Martin |

I am a 23 year old college grad. My boyfriend and I want to move to California. We were giving serious thought to Bakersfield, but I've gotten mixed reviews about the town. We are looking for a town that has a population over 150,000 that has nice weather and semi-affordable living. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
