Bus tour from Las Vegas to Disneyland Posted: Sat December 30, 2006 02:51 AM UTC
Does anyone know of a bus tour that goes from Las Vegas to Disneyland and would stay for 3 or so days? I'm travelling to the Southern California area but would like to avoid driving in and and around LA. Does something like that exist?

Disneyland in September Posted: Wed November 22, 2006 05:55 AM UTC
Hi everyone, we are an Australian family of 2 adults and 2 kids 11 & 13 we will be visiting Anaheim for 3 days from the 26th Sept 2007 we plan to spend 2 days in the Disneyland parks, Can you advise me of how busy a Thursday and Friday 27th & 28th of Septemeber might be? We don't know when your holidays are so it is hard to plan. Also has anyone stayed at any of the Disneyland Resorts and if so is one better than the others and are they worth the extra money or would we be better of using the shuttles of hotels further out.Thank you sooo much for your help. Friday - Outings Posted: Wed November 15, 2006 04:23 PM UTC
Does anyone know if they still have drive-in movies here at Anaheim - or within 20 miles of Orange County. It's my wife's birthday (on Nov. 17)and would like to take her out AFTER OUR FAMILY dinner. Or would anyone know of a good suspence movie although we need to see the latest show...or any recommendable thing in the evening after ten p.m. to just take her out without spending a lot of money. Thanks pal!

Anaheim hotel transfer to Hollywood hotel Posted: Fri November 10, 2006 02:23 PM UTC
Hi
Looking for a shuttle bus company that will pick us up from our Hotel - Sheraton Park and take us to Renaissance hotel at Hollywood.
Most of the web sites I've been directed to on another forum, either don't pick up from our hotel, or only do hotel to LAX airport transfers.
Does anybody know of a shuttle company that can transfer us direct to hotel in Hollywood.
We don't want to catch the train. Taxi is another option but I'm told it could be as much as $100.00 depending on traffic.
Looking forward to any information I'm offered.
thanks

Appartments in anaheim and is Knotts b/farm worth visiting? Posted: Wed November 8, 2006 09:58 AM UTC
My family and i(6 people altogether) are travelling to anaheim in april 2007 for 7 nights and are finding it hard to get any accommodation in the disneyland area that may be two bedroom apartments. We will have a car but would prefer to be within walking distance of the disney parks for the kids. Also is knotts berry farm worth visiting? I have heard very mixed reports on it and as I have two young children (2yrs & 5yrs) dont want to waste any time visiting places that may not be worthwile or accommodating towrds them.
Thanks for your help!

Christmas in Anaheim Posted: Fri October 13, 2006 03:21 AM UTC
Hello,
My son & I will be spending 2 weeks in the Anaheim area, which will include Christmas Eve & Day. We are really excited about our trip, but it will be the first time that we will celebrate Christmas away from home & other family members.
I am wondering what tips others have to offer for things we can do on the 24th & 25th to feel like we are still celebrating Christmas, minus the usual snow & family? I am dreading spending the 2 days sitting in our hotel room, and I know there must be lots of great things to do there. So..... what suggestions do you have for us? I would love to attend a Presbyterian service on Christmas Eve if anyone has a suggestion and also what would be a great place to have dinner on the 25th? Also any other interesting and/or unusual suggestions, I welcome them all!
Thanks in advance for your help.

First Timer Posted: Sun September 17, 2006 04:28 PM UTC
Hello! My family of four will be in Anaheim in mid Oct. We are definitely going to Disneyland for two days, but I am trying to decide on the best local beach to visit and also whether it's worth the money to take a tour out to Catalina Island, and/or is it too chilly by then? I have been told by several people to take warm clothing for the evenings, regardless. Any other tips for a family traveling with a 7 and 4 year old? Thanks!

Taxi? Posted: Fri August 18, 2006 11:13 AM UTC
I am taking my son to disneyland coming from the UK. I can't drive and its just the two of us. I have decided to take a shuttle from and to LAX and our hotel, and a tour bus when we go to studios /hollywood. On the first night of our stay I have booked tickets only to medieval times @ the castle in Buena park, and we will be trying to make our way from disneyland. Can we get a taxi from Disneyland? and back to our hotel after? How much is this likely to cost? Do we have to call a cab, or are they waiting, or to be flagged?
Sorry, its our first time from England and not sure what to expect.
ps. Is the castle inn really a cockroach hotel? Only read reviews after booking!
thanks in advance :-)

Question for using Fastpass at Disneyland Posted: Wed August 9, 2006 09:39 PM UTC
I understand that with the Fastpass system, you are provided with a return ticket with a time stamp providing a one hour timeframe to return. What if you arrive after the "stamped' time, or even several hours after the "stamped" time. I've read a little that they still permit you to enter that ride, or is this not true? Are they strict about that one hour period? Thanks.

Public Transport Posted: Mon August 7, 2006 01:30 AM UTC
Howdy, we've heard it's possible to EASILY catch a bus from out the front of Disneyland to Knotts Berry Farm (and back again!). Can anyone confirm / supply website for timtables etc. Alternatively we will need to look at doing a proper Tour to include the transportation but we would prefer the freedom to come and go as suits us. thankyou

California Adventure - Demonstration Farm Question Posted: Sun July 30, 2006 03:38 AM UTC
I went to California Adventure in 2000 when it first opened. I am now going back again this year. I could have sworn that Bountiful Valley Demonstration Farm had a boat ride inside a building where Disney grows crops for their finer restaurants. In the 2006 Unofficial Guide to Disney, I can't find any reference to that. Did it used to exist and Disney got rid of it? Or am I confusing it with something else? The tour was very interesting because they talked about all sorts of different cultivating techniques that they were using to improve the quality & taste of food. I'd really like to see that exhibit again, but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone help?

Lost an important item in Anahiem - please help! Posted: Thu July 6, 2006 09:20 PM UTC
I've lost something that's very precious to me while i was in Anahiem earlier this week, and I'm willing to pay a reward to anyone who can return it to me with everything intact.
I stayed in Anahiem for the Anime Expo 2006 convention, which was held at the Anaheim Convention Center. I stayed in the Jolly Roger Hotel, off of Katella and Harbor, till Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning was when I lost my personal portfolio, a book containing many works of art and sketches. I fear that it may have been outside or placed outside, so it could be anywhere near the ACC/Disneyland area.
It's a black book, 11" by 14" inches, hard-plastic outside, no zipper, no rings, with plastic sleeve pages inside. Inside, the first peice is a watercolor illustration, heavily inspired by Ukiyo-e woodblock print. Following that are 6 sequential inked pages of a comic book, and following that are some life drawing samples, other assorted works and sketches, and a very important personal item. I'm begging anyone who knows anything, email me. I'm even willing to pay a reward to anyone who can go out and find it. It could be anywhere around the convention center or surronding hotels, because it someone came across it, who knows what they could have done with it. Someone could have even thrown it in the garbage. Please, I need the contents of that binder back no matter what, and I hate myself for losing something so important!
If anyone has any, any ideas, leads, sugguestions, anything at all, please reply here or send me an email. Thank you so much for reading.

Budget accomodation near Disneyland Posted: Fri June 30, 2006 08:40 PM UTC
Hi, we plan to drive to Anaheim (from Vancouver) in July. We need a room for 5 people(2 adults, 3 kids) in a clean 'mom & pop' type motel in a good neighbourhood within a 20 min drive to Disneyland. Btw how much does it cost to park our car in Didneyland parking?
My last trip to Disneyland was 20 years ago. This will be the first time for my kids. We are so looking forward to it. Thanks.

Does Disneyland have a "Front Of the Line Pass" ticket or system? Posted: Wed June 28, 2006 04:04 PM UTC
Does Disneyland have a "Front Of the Line Pass" ticket or system? I've heard friends mention some kind of a front of the system at Disneyworld in Florida, but I don't think there was an extra cost, nor did I understand how the system worked. I was wondering what Disneyland offers, and how it works. Thanks so much.

Best day to visit Disneyland Aug. 17 - 21 Posted: Wed June 28, 2006 03:31 PM UTC
Hi, I'll be in the Los Angeles, Oxnard area from August 17 and departing on the 21st. Thursday thru Monday. I was wondering which day, if any, might be best for visiting Disneyland. Most of our stay will be in the Oxnard area as we're flying in for a wedding, and arriving Wednesday eveing, August 16. So, to save on driving time between Oxnard and LA, I thought maybe we could visit Disneyland the next day after we arrive, on Thursday, Aug. 17, plus, it's not a weekend day if that matters. Or, Maybe visit at the end of our stay, after the wedding. Possibly visit Disneyland Sunday, August. 20, spend the night in the LA area, then be tourist in the LA area all day Monday the 21st before our "red eye" flight at 11 PM. Or, maybe we could visit Disney on Monday, the 21st, the day we fly home later in the evening, but I figure we'd probably have to depart the park by 7pm to get to LAX for our 11 pm flight. But, that sounds like too much in one day, and we might not enjoy the park as much having to depart in the early eveing for the airport.
Anyhow, that's our dates of travel, and I am hoping for some suggestions and thoughts on when it might be best to visit Disney, or on how to plan our stay.
Also, are there any discounts on tickets available?
Last, any recommendations on lodging near Disneyland?
Thanks so much for your help, information, and taking time to respond. I appreciate your replies.

help me decide Posted: Mon June 12, 2006 05:23 AM UTC
Hi,
This month (June 2006) I am planning a trip to Disneyland (Anaheim). I could go there either the week between 18 and 23, or between 25 and 30. Does it make any difference from the point of view of how crowded the park is going to be? Many thanks.

LA to Anaheim - House of Blues Posted: Thu April 27, 2006 07:47 PM UTC
Hi,
I will be going for my first visit to LA for a concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim on a Sunday in July. The concert will most likely finish quite late. Can anyone tell me how to get there and back? For example, is there a nearby bus / train station within walking distance?
Also, I'm looking for a cheap hotel in a safe area in LA. I am travelling by myself and have a very tight budget and can't drive. I've heard that it is difficult to travel around without a car - is that true?
Oh, and what is there nearby the House of Blues? I might have to start queing up early, so should I bring food or is there a nearby cafe or something?
Thanks to everyone for all your help in the past and thanks again in advance!
