Anaheim Disney Park, California Adventure Park or both?
Posted: Thu September 17, 2009 11:26 PM UTC
My husband and I (both 30) are going to LA mid February. I went to Universal Studios last time I was in LA so am keen to do Disneyland this time. Will we have time to do both parks in one day? (I imagine the queues won't be too bad in Feb). If not which one is best for our age group? I don't like kiddy rides but I'm not really into extreme rides either.

Anaheim lax to anaheim
Posted: Fri April 24, 2009 02:10 PM UTC
I am travelling to the U.S in August with my husband and 5 y.o son. We arrive at LAX at 1030pm and are wondering what is the cheapest way to get to Anaheim?
We have been told cabs are very expensive, but considering we would have to buy 3 bus tickets, would it not work out at a similar price? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks, Stella.

Can anyone tell me what the weather will be like towards the end of October, beginning of November? Also, since we are planning on checking out DL during this season, would we be able to go through both parks in 1 whole day(keep in mind I have 2 kids with me, ages 2 &9)or should we go for the 2 day park hopper pass?

Anaheim Walk to Disneyland
Posted: Thu July 24, 2008 09:51 PM UTC
We are going to be renting a house near W. Locust Ave. and S.Pepper St. and by looking at mapquest it looks like it is a walkable distance as long as we can go fairly direct. The plan is to go south on Pepper St, turn left to go east on Ball Rd, cross Ball Rd. and proceed south on S. West Place, cut through the parking lot and catch the Disney tram at the southeast corner of the parking garage. If anybody who has a local knowledge of this area would like to comment or suggest a better walking route, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

Anaheim Day trips from Anaheim
Posted: Tue July 8, 2008 08:18 AM UTC
My fiance and I are hoping to return to Anaheim at the end of this year. WE would love to do a day trip to the Wild Animal Park (we did the San Diego Zoo last year. I have looked on Greyline and searched on google but can't find this service. Only to the main Zoo. The other day trip to San Diego that might be an option is just to have time looking around Balboa Park. Is there transport between the cities? If someone could recommend a link that would be great. Also we would like to see more of Anaheim than just Disney and the Block at Orange ;-). We won't be driving what are ways can we maybe see the beaches? We used the little red Disney buses and once or twice the OCTA buses(I think that was the name). Thanks heaps.

Anaheim Disneyland and Universal Studios
Posted: Wed January 16, 2008 07:36 AM UTC
Hi all,
Have been reading the postings with interest. We plan to stay in Anaheim at the Howard Johnson Hotel for 2 nights in early June. Plan to do a half day at Disneyland on a Tuesday then do a VIP tour of Universal Studios on a Wednesday then a full day at Disneyland on Thursday before flying out of LAX late on Thursday night. My question is what's the quickest/easiest/reasonable cost way to get from Hotel to Universal Studios?
Also suggestions for itinerary for 3 adults at Disneyland would be great.

Thanks in advance,
Saddo

Anaheim Lodging question
Posted: Mon November 5, 2007 08:43 PM UTC
We have six adults planning a trip to CA and we plan to be in the Disneyland area from 9/15-9/20/07. We need to have a suite hotel/motel with 4 beds or two rooms (adjoining) with 2 beds each. We are on a limited budget. Two of us are senior citizens with an AARP or AAA memberships, and one of the younger ones has a disability and can not walk a long distance, so we'd like to have information on a hotel directly across the street from Disneyland or California Adventures - or that provides a shuttle bus from the hotel/motel to Disneyland.

We've stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites in the past, but can get no information about availability at the time above; we've stayed at the Days Inn Maingate recently and they provided a shuttle to the park and in the evening back to the motel.

We'd also like information on other special deals that are available at the time of year we've planned our family vacation. Thank you.

Anaheim Transportation from Anaheim
Posted: Sun October 14, 2007 08:59 AM UTC
Hi there,
I'm from Australia so I'm new to the whole shuttle bus concept. Do you guys know how far it is from LAX airport to Anaheim (Best Western Inn) in terms of minutes (I'm not very good with miles etc). Reason I'm asking is my flight out of LAX is 7am and mindful that I have to check into the airport 2 and a half hours early. Also, this may be a really dumb question but do shuttle buses take you direct to your location and can I just buy a ticket when I arrive.

Thanks heaps, your help would be greatly appreaciated.
Cheers, Lan

Anaheim Disneyland and DCA - how long are the parades and shows?
Posted: Thu July 26, 2007 03:23 PM UTC
Can anyone tell me the LENGTH (in minutes) of the shows/parades? I can find the start times. I know how far ahead I should arrive to get good views but then have to guess when the shows/parades end!

Also does anyone know if the popular rides are still busy after the fireworks?

Thanks

Anaheim Disney shuttle buses question
Posted: Mon March 26, 2007 05:34 PM UTC
Hi everyone.
Do all the shuttle buses from the hotels go to the main entrance at Disney?

I want to get into both the Disney parks as soon as they open. I don't really want to queue to get in cos there'll be quite some queuing during the day!

Fellow readers recomend CandyCane Inn so we'll be there in August! I've bought the 3 day Disneyland pass which allows one early entry (I don't know how early).

So, do we walk from Candy Cane to Disney Entrance - ie is it quicker than the bus for the early entry?

I've had a look in the Anaheim Transport area but couldn't actually find an answer!

Thanks in advance

Anaheim Hilton Anaheim
Posted: Sun March 25, 2007 07:48 AM UTC
My husband and I are from Australia and staying in Anaheim for 3 days in May 2007 post cruise. Our travel agent has booked us into the Hilton Anaheim stating it is 4 star but research and reading reviews tells me it is only 3. Also many reviews have been so negative regarding cleanliness and comfort/noise, can anyone advise me directly what they have thought of this accomodation?? It has us worried. We are also booked at the Crowne Plaza Beverly Hills for 3 days, the reviews dont seem as bad. Any information would be greatly appreciated. This is our first time in the states, we are not sure as to your ratings. In Australia they are 1 - 5. Any Aussies that may have stayed at these places please advise on your experiences. Thanks!!

Anaheim Hollywood sign
Posted: Fri February 9, 2007 11:29 PM UTC
Hi again everyone, I was so impressed by everyones great response to my where to stay in Disneyland questions that I thought I would ask another one. Oh and by the way I think I have narrowed down the hotels to either the Peacock, Howard Johnson, Candy Cane Inn or Carousel, if anyone has any further suggestions I'm still researching!!! But onto my other question, we will be arriving in LA about 2pm on a Wednesday in Sept. and leave LAX on Sat 29th at 3.30pm allowing that we will have to be at the airport by midday any suggestions on the easiest and cheapest way to get to and from the above hotels in Anaheim (family of 2a & 2 c age 11 & 13) We will have 2 full days to 'do' Disneyland. Is there anyway either the afternoon we arrive or the morning that we leave that somehow we could see the big white Hollywwod sign on the hill - not close up just from a distance so my 13year old can take a photo. Bearing in mind we won't have a car. Is it somthing that is visible say on the trip between LAX and Anaheim? Showing my complete lack of geograhical knowledge here but cut me some slack - I am Australian after all!! Thnaks for any help, Michele
