Planning trip to Bremen Posted: Tue January 9, 2007 07:48 PM UTC
We are making our first family trip to Germany in March, and plan to spend two or three days in Bremen, because our 11-year old daughter did a paper on it for her German class. She is very excited about visiting Bremen, but I am not sure that we know of enough intereting things to do in order to make our visit as fun as possible. Any suggestions? We will be coming by train from Berlin and staying at a centrally located hotel.

Advice on online shopping Posted: Wed October 18, 2006 12:04 AM UTC
Hi,
my daughter Katie is spending the year in Bremen at the university. I don't speak or read German. I just shipped some clothing and other items to her. I about had a heart attack from the shipping costs. I would like to purchase goods online for her. I think I could save a small fortune if I could find an online website in English that is located in Germany. I have tried to use translators and they aren't good enough for shopping. I need to purchase a microwave and have it shipped to her. She uses a bicycle and public transportation. Does anyone know of a good online site for clothing and household goods? Location in Bremen would be best, however; anywhere in Germany would be fine.

Does anyone know if the stadium is open to tourists during the world cup when there is not a game on? If so, where would I find the information? Cheers!

HELP - Cheap hotel in Bremen? Posted: Thu September 15, 2005 10:02 PM UTC
Hi Guys,
I need a cheap place to stay in for 3 nights in the beginning of December.
I want it to be close enough to the main station to walk or at least with a direct train connection to the main station.
Any ideas? Can anyone recommend something from their own experience?
I'd also prefer something that is not a hostel with dorms only, because i don't want to share a room with other people.
But i don't mind if it has shared showerc etc.
Thanx a lot in advance.

Looking for my friend Marc Tobien Posted: Wed March 2, 2005 09:29 PM UTC
I'm searching for a friend of mine with whom I have lost contact. He worked as an electrical engineer in the city of Bremen, and had been married to a woman named Heike. We knew each other from the navy. If anyone knows his whereabouts please refer him to dlandt@hotmail.com or write to me directly with a good way to contact him.
Thank you

Post Aula, Bremen Posted: Tue November 9, 2004 04:57 PM UTC
One of my favourite live sessions of the singer Tom Waits was noted as being recorded at the Post Aula, Bremen, but I cannot find any reference to this place anywhere. Does it exist still? Did it ever exist? Does it have a different name now?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Anybody from North of Germany going down to Cote d'Azur? Posted: Mon May 3, 2004 07:39 AM UTC
I would like to know if someone from north of Germany(preferably around Bremen) could bring me down a bike to the French Riviera, near Cannes/Antibes. In exchange, I am offering a week end accomodation in a luxury apartment with private parking and shared swimmingpool in an old medieval village (10km Cannes) Claude

Which one? Posted: Sun April 25, 2004 05:37 PM UTC
I want to add a travel page Bremen. But VT gives me a choice:
Europe > Germany > Freie Hansestadt Bremen > Bremen
or
Europe > Germany > Freie Hansestadt Bremen
I think both are the same. So which one should I choose? Most of you took the first one.

I've got three days in Bremen next week, where I'm interviewing for a job, and I'd like to see what life is like for gay men living there (expats as well as locals). I'm a trim, youngish mid-life gay man, living outside of Boston.
