We will arrive in Tivat airport in the beginning of July around 18.30 or 19.00. Is it possible to find a bus to Budva then or do we have to go by expensive cabs?

Dear all,
There's 3 of us coming to Budva on 20 August. Still haven't taken care of accomodation and the time is running..If you know any links helpful to find an appartment or private locations please let me know.
I know a lot of people find rooms already there in Budva, but isn't that too risky?
take care and let us all have an extraordinary holidays!

last minute info needed!! Posted: Thu June 8, 2006 11:28 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
a group of friends and i, all guys, are heading to becici for the last week in july. we'd really appreciate some info about the local area. from what we have read, budva seems to be the main hotspot, about 2km from becici. our main question is about the nightlife. is it very local or tourist-orientated? are there plenty of pubs and clubs to go to at night? where do the majority of tourists there come from? we were in croatia last year, near dubrovnik and found it was mostly italian. also the price of food and drink would be of interest to us. any help would be greatly appreciated!!

My beloved city Budva. Coming back!!!!! Posted: Wed May 31, 2006 11:44 AM UTC
Hi everyone!
I'd like to share with good news!!! 20 June I'll come to Budva for the second time for 2 weeks! Last time I was there in sept. 2004 and dreamed about coming back almost for 2 years:-)
So, I've booked an appartment in Villa Mitrovic. My tour-operator said that it is not far from the old town, but no more. I know Budva quite well. So, may be anyone knows this villa. Is it good?
May be any new interesting places (cafes, pubs, discos)were opened in this period of time I haven't been there? What are the prices?
What is the price to enter my favourite beach Mogren? In 2004 it was 1 euro.
I'd be so happy to receive you advices! And may be meet some VT-members there.

From Mediteran to Tara Posted: Tue May 30, 2006 10:33 AM UTC
Hi,
Booked my 2 week (from mid June) trip to Becici hotel Mediteran a few weeks ago. The local tour operator (Suntours) called me yday and told they have to move all customers from 4 star hotel Mediteran to nearby 3 star Tara (not listed among their hotels). Reason is that there are a huge construction works on the building (restaurant, bar, etc) and pool&parking area. Suntours also promised to pay back 10% from the original trip price.
I was told that the Tara hotel is close to Mediteran, opposite to nearby road.
Guess this hotel is not as good as Mediteran because it has one star less (3) than Mediteran? This hotel opened last year 2005 so there is still very little info about it on the web. Anybody know some more about it?
Cheers,
Ulf

Can anyone tell me what Hotel Mediteran is like, we were due to be staying in the Queen of Montenegro, but apparently its nowhere near ready. Is the Hotel Mediteran a good substitute or should I investigate somewhere else?
Thanks

We're going to Becici for a family holiday in August 2006. We're not hiring a car but wish to see some of the surrounding area.
I'm therefore interested in and would therefore appreciate information concerning:
a) bus travel from Becici
b) excurisions from Becici arranged by local travel companies.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cheers

Summer 2006 Posted: Fri February 10, 2006 01:26 PM UTC
Me and a friend of mine are planning a trip to Budva in June/July, and we have a few questions:
1. We want to stay at a hotel, how is the quality at the hotels in Montenegro compared to other places in Europe?
2. Is there a huge diffrens between a three star hotel and a five?
3. The beaches; is the beaches in Becici less crowded than for exaple Slovenska Plaza?
4. Where would you recommand to stay, Budva or Becici?
5. I have read several rewievs, but no one mentions anything about criminals or things like that, would it be a problem for two girls to travel alone?
I hope someone is able to answer some of my questions:-)

four of us wanting to stay in september. a few questions Posted: Fri August 12, 2005 12:03 PM UTC
hello
my wife and i live in Skopje, Macedonia, and my in-laws are coming over to visit for a couple weeks. We think it would be nice to see Budva. I've read that it is best to wait until you are there to get a room, because a lot of people will offer them. Is this true? Would there be places big enough for four people to stay?
Also, how is Budva in September. We would go sept. 18-22 or somewhere around there. Don't want it to be too cold. Could we still swim?
If anyone happens to know a bus from Skopje to Budva, i'd be curious, but i figure i'll have to figure that out locally
thanks!

How crowded is Budva Posted: Mon June 20, 2005 01:28 PM UTC
Dear all,
I am going to Montenegro end of July to beginning of August. I read in Lonely Planet that it is VERY crowded at that time. Will it still be possible to find private accomodation for two without pre-booking, on the spot? I am looking for prices of 5 to 15 Euros per person per night. What about the towns Bar, Cetinje, Kotor and Herceg Novi?
Thanks a lot!!

Honeymoon at the Iberostar Bellevue in Budva Posted: Mon March 14, 2005 05:55 PM UTC
Hi good people can anyone offer comments/advice on Budva. I am looking to stay at the Iberostar Bellevue for one week all inclusive from 4 to 10 July for my honeymoon. Is it a good hotel and does it have watersports facilities? Also JAT airlines have the cheapest flights from London, are they reliable and is there any reason that they are cheaper than the other carriers such as British Airways?
Thank you in advance for your help, as you can tell the wedding is very close now and I would appreciate any comments, negative and positive, on JAT airlines, Budva and the Iberostar Bellevue hotel in Budva.
