| Kotor | Accommodation in Kotor Posted: Sat May 10, 2008 06:40 PM UTC
Hi, my partner and i have 1 night in Kotor at the end of this month. We would normally book hostels although there is limited hostels and we thought we would try and stay somewhere nice (location). Would you recommend any hostels or hotels in the area that are cheap (30€ or less each per night) and accessible from the transport?
I need to know some good websites so i can book. hostelworld.com and hostelbookers.com do not have much Ben |

| Kotor | I know it's boring - Transportation from Beograd (Belgard) -> Kotor Posted: Thu May 8, 2008 11:35 AM UTC
Hi EVERYBODY!
We are planning a trip from Timisoara (Romania) to Kotor. This trip must be very cheap :) we already ran out of money. So I'm interested how to get to Kotor in the cheapest way. We are planning to start with the train to Beograd. From Beograd we have two possibilities. 1 - Beograd -> Bar by train and Bar -> Kotor with bus. 2 - Beograd -> Podgorica by train and Podgorica -> Kotor with bus. I have "surfed" the net for prices for a while but I don't find any recent good data... So the question is - anybody know which is the cheapest and easiest way.. We ( 4 person ) would like to stay about 10 days (with transportation) in kind of apartments (where we can cook some food, so kitchen is necessary ) - I found one in 40 Euros per day .. If anybody know a cheaper, better place pls respond. BTW the trip will be after the main season - end of august , or beginning of September.. |

| Kotor | Transport from Dubrovnik to Kotor Posted: Tue March 25, 2008 08:11 PM UTC
Hi again,
Thanks to everyone who helped me out with my last question. As it has turned out I will be flying to Dubrovnik so I was wondering if anyone could help me with travel arrangements to Kotor from there, or more specifically Prcanj? I will be in Dubrovnik at 20:05 local time on the 11th June 2008 and was wondering what public transport is available at that time to Montenegro? If there is nothing available can anyone recommend an inexpensive but clean hotel in Dubrovnik that I could stay in for the night? Best Regards, and thanks in advance! |

| Kotor | Bus travel from Dubrovnik to Kotor Posted: Tue January 29, 2008 05:11 AM UTC
I am wondering if there are buses that run daily in the morning from Dubrovnik going to Kotor and leaving Kotor and going to Dubrovnik in the late afternoon - in the beginning of June. It seems like there is a bus going from Kotor in the morning and from Dubrovnik in the afternoon, but not the other way around.

| Kotor | there and away? Posted: Sun June 18, 2006 11:09 AM UTC
hi! does anyone know if it's possible to see schedules on busses from podgorica airport to kotor along with price?
2nd: is it possible to buy a train ticket(s) from kotor to thessaloniki in a travel agency or bus/train station while in kotor? I take it we 'd have to transfre in podgorica then maybe pristina. Does anyone know the price on that and if that's possible in a day? i hear that's a scenic trip but not exactly a very common route. ie; belgrade is rather out of the way but maybe that's somehow quicker.... thanks! |

Hi all. I'll be studying in Belgrade this summer, but before I start school I want to spend some time in Montenegro traveling. I am thinking I would like to spend a week in the Boka Kotorska region...can anyone help me with accomodation? I am traveling on a fixed stipend so I don't have too much to spend. Could anyone help me arrange a private accomodation in the region for about a week?

Hello,
I've seen some posts similar to my question, but I'm looking for more current info for July 2006. Does anyone know how long it would take to get from Kotor to Tirana, Albania? We'd like to do it in a day. It's OK if it is a long day. Is the only route: Kotor-Ulcinj-Shkodra-Tirana? Thanks. |

| Kotor | bar to kotor bus times Posted: Tue July 5, 2005 02:30 AM UTC
I'm planning to visit Kotor in a few weeks via train from Belgrade to Bar then bus to Kotor, returning the same way a few days later. Can anyone tell me how often the buses run between Bar and Kotor? If I arrive in Bar at 0807 on the overnight train will I be able to get a bus on to Kotor that morning? More importantly, can I leave Kotor by early morning bus and still catch a day train from Bar back to Belgrade (either the 1000 or 1335 train)?
Also, am I likely to have trouble finding private accommodation in Kotor in mid-late July? I'm reluctant to pre-book anywhere but may be arriving on a weekend so want to be sure of somewhere to stay. Any advice would be most welcome. |

| Kotor | To Skopje Posted: Mon May 2, 2005 06:57 PM UTC
Hey everyone
i am currently in germany and am starting my trip to the balkans very soon. I had a question about how to get from Kotor (montenegro) ultimately to Skopje so that I can get a train to greece. But I wanted to go through Ohrid, if that was at all possible, near Skopje. I guess the easiest way would be to Tirana but I cannot find any way to get from Kotor to Tirana without going all the way to Belgrade. Someone please help me out, thanks so much Josh |

We have travelled to Dubrovnik in the past and have found it to be a beautiful holiday location. We are looking at staying on the outskirts of Kotor or near Budva. | Kotor | There isn't any internet in Kotor!! Posted: Tue August 10, 2004 10:54 AM UTC
Hi Folks I just come back from a jaunt in former Yugoslavia, and visited Kotor which was beautiful.
However I needed to book up my next room , and it was a sunday so i went to the central post office to buy a phone card which I was told by several people stays open, only to find it closed.phone boxes only work with a card! I went to several infact all of the available news stands , and they had no cards! "Nevermind "I thought ,i will email.... so I asked some young people where do i go to send email? and they all showed a room full of computers, tinted windows and air conditioning, but incredibly No internet!! So what where the computers for? ...Play station! yes! And all of the compters had 8-15 year olds playing war games! Eventually I found a native english speaker who confirmed there is NO INTERNET IN KOTOR SORRY. and I have to say there were not any phone cards either because an american mans cell phone would not work and he was screaming about how he could not get a phone card! |
