I'll be returning to visit friends in the Copenhagen area. I thought it might be appropriate to bring a gift, or gifts to those I visit. Can anyone provide information on what makes for good gifts to bring? To add, where I live there is a chocalate company that makes really good chocolates, and are generally good gifts. I suppose I could bring a box of chocolates, but I am still interested in ideas. I always have a hard time getting ideas of what to buy my own family let alone old friends that I don't see very often. Therefore, I thought I might ask here if anyone can suggest some good gift ideas to bring to my Danish friends. Thank you.

I will be arriving in Copenhagen airport on 28th July (Tuesday), and leaving on Thursday night for Oslo on a night bus.

I have not decided yet where to stay (in Copenhagen or Odense).

Please help me plan my trip:
1) How much does it cost on public transport from Airport to Copenhagen?
2) How much does it cost on public transport from Airport to Odense?
3) How much does it cost on public transport from Copenhagen to Odense? (I read it is a 1.5 hr journey, but not much more)
4) Any new hostel you can recommend? I don't smoke or drink and happy with a quiet place.

Hello, Im planning a cycling trip around Denmark either from Viborg to Skagen or part of the North Sea route from Aarhus and I would prefer not to make reservations at either B&B's or hotels. Will I have any difficulty finding accomodations or should I book everything in advance? Secondly has anyone ever done any of these routes in Denmark? Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

We are having trouble arranging transportation from the port to the international airport in coppenhagen. Is it difficult to get a taxi from the port and about home much does it cost to get from the port to the airport by taxi.

I am planning to visit Aero island on 30 june or 1 july and from there i would like to get to Kiel in Germany. Is there a ferryboat from Marstal or from Langeland island? The internet hasn´t been helpful with providing me with any answer so far , so i thought i would ask the all knowing people of VT.

I want to cycle through Jutland specifically going through Skive as my Grandfather is from there and I visited there when I was 17 and would like to go back. I have cycled before in Europe on solo trips where they carry your bags, provide the bike, book the rooms etc. however I only found one outfitter in northern Jutland (which is where I believe Skive is located) and they were so expensive. Can anyone recommend a cycle tour company that is reasonable, I don't need to stay in luxury hotels. The other alternative is to do it on my own however I would prefer renting a bike. Any suggestions to both ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there any sort of clearing house for last minute hotel vacancies in or around Copenhagen? I will be arriving with my 4 yr old granddaughter this Thursday (11 June), but no rooms are available until Saturday due to a medical convention of some sort. I posted a bit back but to follow up on some suggestions. BTW thnaks to those who made suggestions, now onto questions.

In Roskilde is there any power boat tour companies that provide rides up the fjord. Want to see as much of the fjord as possible in least amount of time so so looking for something other than the viking ship sailing. Also will be with colleagues that I do not think will want to perform the rowing. I have found only one boat called the MS Sagafjord. Does this one provide a good tour?

Is it possible to do Roskilde in the morning then go to Bellevue Beach in the afternoon? We will use the S tog to go between the destinations.

We will have a day off in Ystad Sweden so wondering if the boat trip to Bornholm is a good destination for a day trip? Can a full day be spent on Bornholm? Any tour groups that provide sort of a loop tour of the island? Or, any other day trips in and around Ystad to recommend? We have to be on our back to Copenhagen the same evening.

I am visiting Copenhagen with my husband for our last holiday together before our baby is born. (I will be 6 months pregnant).
Please recommend the perfect ways for relaxation in Copenhagen.
We will be staying at hotel bernum guldsmeden and I would like to go to a modern art gallery, park, countryside and to enjoy the culture and food, although big or late nights out will not be possible.

My parents are going to visit Stockholm from Amsterdam in mid May. They will be coming from Amsterdam by train and have a break journey in Copenhagen for 4-5 hours. They may extend their stay in Copenhagen for a day as well. Can anyone please suggest any good places to visit in Copenhagen during the day, any nice castles or museums or anything. Or any site-seeing nearby the city.

Any suggestions will be of big help to me for arranging their trip. They both are 60+ and neither drink nor smoke. So the bars will be out of contention.

I have traveled to CPH 6 times in the last year and this June returning with 4 colleagues who would like to venture out of CPH for a day trip. One has already been to Elsinore and prefers a new destination. If weather is good prefer outdoor (but not hiking) as opposed to indoor activity such as a museum. Any picturesque area or other interesting towns reachable by train or bus?

Wanting to visit helgoland @ Amager park, need to know protocol etc and is there lockers there for clothing

I (from the southern US) am planning on rewarding my wife for completing her degree in December with a trip to northern Europe, Denmark in particular. Would it be completely insane to attempt a trip in Jan or Feb? Is there anything to do? Is everything closed? Is there anything to do that is uniquely winter? I'm quite sure hotel rates are probably lower, but is it worth it? Any ideas?

Out of the blue, it seems we will be going to Arhus, Denmark on business. I'd love some ideas of what's important to see there, best places for meals etc. I'm going to try and convince the boss we need to stay at least 2 days!
