Denmark CPH-Aarhus train connection
Posted: Thu October 29, 2009 08:46 PM UTC
Hoping that someone here can help with advance info for an airport transfer from incoming flight at CPH to train from the airport to Aarhus.

We arrive at about 12:30 pm and have reservations through a Danish friend on a 13:40 train to Aarhus. Arriving on Sunday.

Does that seem sufficient time to get luggage, clear customs, pick up the ticket and make the train?

Any special notes on things to help speed along are appreciated. Have never been to CPH before.

Denmark Padborg to Tonder
Posted: Fri October 23, 2009 04:08 PM UTC
Tommorow I will go to denmark using city night line train from Dortmund to Padborg.
From there I have plan to go to tonder using local public transport.
But I still confused about the ticket system

First I have to use Re 2320 - Retning: Fredericia st
From Padborg 09:17 and arrive in Tinglev at 09:28

Then I continue using Bus 16 - Retning: Tønder Busst
From Tinglev at 11:26 and arrive in tonder at 12:02

Please explain to me about the ticket system :

Billet Zoner:4 60,00 kr Kontantbillet

Klippekort Zoner:4 Pris for rejse ved ét klip på 4-zoners klippekort 33,00 kr 10-turs klippekort

Which one should I take? the billet or Klippekort?
Where can I buy this Klippekort? Can I use the same klippekort in tonder or maybe later in Copenhagen?
And how can I use this Klippekort.

Copenhagen Good sports restaurant/bar for 2009.10.10
Posted: Mon September 28, 2009 09:48 PM UTC
Hello!

I will be in Copenhagen in mid-October. I know there is a World Cup qualifying match at Parken on October 10, but I expect tickets to be sold out and/or too expensive. Can anyone recommend a place in town with a good atmosphere where I can watch the game?

Tak!

Posted: Thu September 10, 2009 11:50 AM UTC
Ill be attending Climate Change Confrence 7/12-20/12. Hotels seem to be fully booked. The closest I get is in Lund, sweden. Can one tell me:
1- How much does it cost to travel from Lund to Bella Center (both ways)?
2- Is it better to rent a car or use the transit system, if available?
3- Since I am a non EU citizin (Qatar national) are there boarder between these two countries?
4- If so, would a shengen visa help for both?
5- Can any one recommend a good area to stay in Copenhagen?

Copenhagen Phone Cards?
Posted: Tue August 25, 2009 02:08 PM UTC
Though I'd prefer renting a cell phone during my short stay in Copenhagen, I don't seem to be able to locate a supplier to rent a phone. Therefore, I may need to use public phones. Do public phones still accept coins, or are phone cards needed? Last time I was in Copenhagen, I needed to make a call, and at this particular train station, the phone did not accept coins, so I had to purchase a phone card to make just one call. Is there a better way? To be honest, I've not used a phone card in a long time, is there a recommended card that I should purchase for use while in CPH? I don't expect to make many calls, probably just two, maybe 5 at the most. Thanks

Copenhagen What is recommended ticket option for traveling in Copenhagen and surrounding areas?
Posted: Wed August 19, 2009 04:31 PM UTC
I'll be visiting Copenhagen for 4 days. I may need train transportation from the airport to the city. I also plan to visit Hillerod, Frederiksvaerk, Helsingor, and staying overnight near Emdrup, or Dyssegard station. What will be my best form of ticket? Should I get the yellow klippekort, or is there a ticket for tourist valid for 3 or 4 days for unlimited travel. I am aware there's the CPH card which provides unlimited transortation, and I do plan to see and do many activites available using the card, but at this time, not sure if I want to use. Just wondering what is my best ticket option.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if it is ok to take unopened baby food into denmark--the origin of the baby food is the USA. It will be in my checked bag, I know not to take opened baby food in through customs.... Yes, I know you can buy baby food in Copenhagen, but I don't want to spend my first day there jet lagged, dragging my baby around looking for food!!!

Denmark Arhus airport to Fredericia travel question?
Posted: Wed July 15, 2009 11:12 AM UTC
I was hoping someone could help me.

I've been trying to find out the best way to get from Arhus airport to Fredericia.

The trains seem to be the best mode of transport as I have heard taxis are quite expensive. The problem is that I couldn't understand the Danish on the railway booking site so I'm not sure what I am booking and if they come directly from Arhus airport or not.

Please can someone give me some help and prices.

Many thanks,
Paul
