| Molise | Family from Agnone Posted: Wed August 23, 2006 11:15 PM UTC
If anyone has been to Agnone, can you give me some travel tips?
My friend and I will be on a quest to visit Agnone. From where my ancestors came. Reading the other postings, I have learned the best way to get there would be train from Rome to Isernia, then continue to Agnone by bus. This quest has been stirring inside me for some time now. My Grandmother Genoveffa Cacciavillani Cerimele daughter of Guiseppi Cerimele and Carmella Cacciavillani came from Agnone. I know for sure - found her birth certificate on microfilm. This is so exciting to me. It is truly a blessing to find this information and visit the area of my roots. |

| Molise | Seeing grandmother's home town, house, and family. Posted: Sat May 13, 2006 02:01 AM UTC
With my family of 5, I will travel to Italy on very short notice:
(1) fly from Philadelphia to Rome (for the 1st time), stay a few days to a week (somewhere?), (2) take a train to Sessano (somehow?) because that's my grandmother's home town and house and some family is, (3) stay a couple of days in Isernia because that may be where the nearest hotel is (I think?), (4) take a train to Ancona (somehow?), maybe stay a day or so, (5) take a boat (ferry?) to Croatia because that's where my husband is from and we will visit his mom and family. If anyone can offer any help in any of these itineraty items 1-5, then it would be greatly appreciated. |

| Molise | Agnone Posted: Wed October 20, 2004 08:02 PM UTC
I am surprising my wife with a trip to Italy this winter. We'll be making a few stops but I want to head from Rome down to Agnone in Isernia for a few days. My grandfather Pasquale Pallotta was born there. My brother thought a superstratta/freeway had been finished there recently but I can't find if that is the case. What is the best way to get From Rome to Agnone? Also, does anyone know a good place to stay in or near Agnone? Thank you so much.
P.S. If anyone knows any Pallottas in or near Agnone, please let me know. Thank you again. |

| Molise | Ascoli Piceno - Hotel B&B Suggestions?? Posted: Thu March 13, 2003 04:24 PM UTC
Hi all,
Have tried for three weeks, through phone calls and faxes, to book a place in AP. I have been corresponding with the tourist office there, they are nice enough but made it clear I should book hotels directly. The problem is no hotel has answered any email or fax, and I have sent three faxes to each place, with zero response. I have them in perfect italian so I know it isn't a language problem, and the faxes are going through. Does anyone have a suggestion for a cool place to stay, in the city center. We are planning a two stay to see the Quintana jousting tournament in August. So far, we have tried to book the Cantina Dell'Arta and also the Hotel Piceno. Neither of which respond to any correspondence. HELP! Stacy Seattle |

| Molise | Castelraimondo in the Marches District Posted: Thu March 13, 2003 04:18 PM UTC
Hi all! We are spending a month in Castleraimondo (August) and perfecting our italian language skills at Scuola Dante Alighieri. There is precious little information on the interenet, including italian sites, about Castelraimondo. Has anyone been - or can anyone give me an idea of how large a town it is, or if there is a map/town plan anywhere I can access? I have Triple A's Italy Road Atlas, but would love to hear from anyone who might have visited there, or anyone who actually attending the language school. I appreciate your input!
