Felice Nazzaro Posted: Wed September 30, 2009 02:11 PM UTC
I am visiting Turin and want to visit the grave of the racing driver Felice Nazzaro who died in 1940, I cannot find which cemetery he is buried in but know he is not in the two main cemeteries.
Can anyone help.
Regards.
Charles
I will be visiting Rivalta Di Torino on business need with Avio. I will be there for a period of two months during this time I am looking for an apartment rental accommodation in Rivalta di Torino for a couple of months starting Oct 2009 till Mid Dec 2009. Any information on this is highly appreciated.

We plan a couple of weeks on Lake Maggiore and wonder whether Stresa or Baveno is the better place to stay. We tend to prefer smaller resorts, such as Baveno, but like to do our own thing rather than go on organised excursions. So from the ease of getting around on local trains, buses, boats, etc. which would be the better base for us to stay in. I'd appreciate as much info as possible please. Thanks to everyone who bothers to reply!
we will be arriving at Malpensa at about 7.30 on a Sunday morning late September and need to get to Stresa, hopefully in time to catch the Lake Maggiore Express since the Express does not run on Mondays or Tuesdays late in the season
I have had a few quotes from taxis at around 75 euros but if possible would prefer to take a bus, but unsure if we will make it in time to catch a bus without waiting around for hours.
What are the chances of just hiring a taxi from the airport? Would it cost more than pre-arranging a taxi?
Maybe the idea of the Lake Maggiore Express is unrealistic anyway.
My husband and I will be celebrating his 40th birthday in Torino on Sunday the 12th. Do you have any recommendations for a nice restaurant open Sunday for dinner and cafe/bar for aperitivos?
We are staying in via Bonelli but don't mind traveling, and cost isn't too much of an issue. We love food and would really like a typical/ local dinner.
Your post is helpful but am wondering if there is much to do and what the nightlife/restaurants are like. We stayed at Lake Garda and found the resort very quiet, the ferries stopped at 7pm so we were stuck near our hotel. We are a couple in our early 50s who like relaxing surroundings but are happy to let our hair down in the evenings.
I am planning to stay for about 4 months in Turin to attend a course at the ITC-ILO located at Viale Maestri del Lavoro, 10 10127 Turin, Italy, would anyone know a place/apartment/single room available near/around the area that will be available for rent for about 4 months?
We are staying in turin for three days next month and would like your advice on getting to Aosta.
would you fellow travellers recommend this for a day trip? any advice you could pass on would be very much welcome. We would love to know any other suggestions you have for "a day out" train would be our prefered way of travel!! Thanks.
I have a couple of questions about attending a wedding this summer in Pallanza.
Our friends are getting married at Chiesa San Leonardo, then at the Majestic Hotel. Is it tradition to wear a hat at such a wedding?
Also, i am thinking of booking either the Hotel Novara or Villa Azalea. I can see on the map the walking distance is only about 10 minutes to the church and venue. Has Villa Azalea got any major disadvantages over Novara? Is the hill walk very steep into the centre? (manageable in heels?)
Sestriere Posted: Mon January 19, 2009 08:52 AM UTC
I have book my family for this year end holiday at Palace Residence 2, Sestriere (TO) from 23/11/2009 until 30/11/2009. Do anyone now if this is a good place for winter holidays...? Does it snow during that time of year..? Do we need to rent a car through out our stay there? What can we do there?
hi anybody can help me to give some idea/suggestion about the places where we can enjoy/do ice skiing .I want to know place in turin or nearby turin...........

Could you give us tips what's going on on New Year's eve in the city. ?
my husband and I pan t spend the night in the city.
Somebody told me, that there will be fireworks and live music on the Square near the river po???
WE WOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL FOR TIPS!!!
How do the Torinesi spend their capodanno??
We ' d like to have a piemontese dinner, nothing fancy, but good and then... where are the hotspots in the quadrilatero and then down to hte rover..
The fireworks will be at midnight I presume... but what els is going on in the city?
For me there are two options during my short stay in Piemonte. Stay the night in Vercelli or look for a last train/ bus to a city near Vercelli.
Can anyone recommend me a cheap nice place to stay in Vercelli or surroundings where I can get after midnight with public transport?
Does anyone know the buscompany which must ride to and from Vercelli ( the website i mean)
My wife and I will be traveling from Turin to Paris during the third week of October, preferably by train. Any suggestions on where to stop in between? Ideally, we would like to leave Turin on Tues. morning, arrive *somewhere* Tues afternoon/early evening, leave Wed afternoon/early evening and arrive in Paris in time for dinner on Wed night. All we need is a place to enjoy local food and wine, and to go for a stroll...but we're open for anything: quiet/romantic town, scenic area (castles, hills, coast), maybe even the casinos in Monte Carlo.
The key is that we'd have to be able to easily get there from Turin, and easily get from there to Paris. Though a less touristy area would be nice, I understand our options may be limited given these travel requirements.
I'm hoping the experts here can help us find the best path to Paris, thanks!
I will be travelling to Turin from Dec 9 - 15, 2008. I am a Juve fan and the whole purpose of being in Turin for 6 days is to watch a couple of live matches. Luckily for me Juve - Real Madrid and Juve - Milan fall in this period. I want to ensure that I don't miss out on these matches and would like to buy the tickets way in advance. There's currently no information on Juventus.com and listicket.it regarding these or any other matches. Please help me to get the tickets in advance!
Next question is that, will I be better off staying in a hotel for 6 nights spending approximately 600-700 euros on a decent hotel or renting a short term apartment. How would the apartment cost me in a safe and central location? (If I stay for a month, I will be regularly travelling to Vinovo)
Next is the weather. I know it is going to be cold but how many layers would I require? I have lived in Boston which is probably worse than Turin but I have not been there for like 5 years now. So a few tips would be handy.
The most important question: Which are the best places to socialize with new people and meet beautiful women?
Girlfriend and I are at a wedding on Laga d' Orta in August, staying at camping cusio
I am looking for a restauruant that is ideal to propose to the girlfriend in and that I can can the restaurant involved (maybe bring the ring out in a glass etc).
However, I don't really want anywhere where other members of the wedding party may go that night.
Can anyone recommend a good place with contact details?
We would like to see the fireworks championship being held in Omegna in August but cannot find any details regarding the dates. Can anyone advise please?
We (couple, early 30's, like culture) have planned a week in Turin second half of October, and I wondered if some of you might be able to give me some advice on the following:
- budget accomodation
- nice restaurants/cafe/etc
- things to do
- are there area's absolutely to avoid (unsafe)
