Torino An afternoon in Torino
Posted: Mon April 21, 2008 10:06 AM UTC
Dear VT friends,
I am going to spend a afternoon in Torino on 1 May waiting Arturo Brachetti's evening performance at Teatro Alfieri. I wonder about a car park that allow us to be close to the theatre. What places does you suggest to see in this few hours? and what about restaurants nearby?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
Happy travels,

Piemonte Drive from Asti to Milan
Posted: Wed April 2, 2008 06:11 AM UTC
Hello out there

(1) I need to return a hire car back to Milan (Malpensa Airport), probably from Asti. Can someone please tell me how long the drive will take - preferably a scenic route and would anyone recommend anything specific to see/do en route.

Then I may return to Asti by train or go directly to Genoa to visit Cinque Terre.

(2) Can anyone also advise how long the train takes from La Spezia to Milan (Malpensa Airport... again).

Thanks if you can advise.

Bra Restaurants
Posted: Fri January 4, 2008 12:34 AM UTC
What are the best restaurants in Bra and surrounding areas? We are going this fall and staying in Bra. We will be going to the surrounding wineries. We have rented a car, have a GPS and love to try out of the way places. We love the local foods as well as the Michelin restaurants.

Thanks so much in advance,

Alba There is this one great store in Alba...
Posted: Sat December 15, 2007 12:35 AM UTC
where I saw a very good quality men's clothing under the brand of B&B (Bruce&B-something, I believe)... THe store is located on the main street where a busy market unfolds on Saturday. I really loved what I saw, but didn't have time to check this out properly and have the brand written down.

Sorry for this lame question, but would you help me with either the name of the brand or the name and phone number of this store?...

It's a very posh store with an unusual entrance featuring some sort of a gallery...

thanks much for your help

Torino Is it too early to book train for January 8th
Posted: Mon November 5, 2007 01:48 AM UTC
Hi

I have been trying to work out the train times for our holiday and it seems there is no train for that time. I was planning on going from Turin to Borgosesia on the 8th January. The train runs now but when i put in the 8th there says there is no train. Is it too early or is there really no train?

If not does anyone know how I can get there?

Thanks

This shop was run by a little old lady who sold notions, women's clothing, sewing supplies, etc. Can anyone help me locate the name, address, phone number, or email address for the store so that I can order some more?

Piemonte Skimming a stone from Lake Maggiore toward France
Posted: Sat September 1, 2007 03:52 PM UTC
Hi there! I'm spending some time with my girfriend in lake maggiore before we head off on our travels through france toward the town of Hossegor. We intend to travel by car, but to rent a car in italy and then drop it off in another country will result in a very hefty fee (approx 800 euro) on top of the car rental price. Accordingly, after a few days by the lake, we are hoping to travel by train into a nice part of france, and then pick up a rental car there. If anyone could suggest a really cool little train trip into France departing from a location close to Lake Maggiore, I would be most grateful!!!

Torino question about the cemetery in superga
Posted: Wed July 18, 2007 06:58 PM UTC
I recently found out that a friend of mine died in Torino Italy and that he is buried there. His sister could not remember the name of the church cemetery but said it was neat where the football team was "buried". Could you tell me if there are other graves in this cemetery or is it strictly a tourist attraction now? thank you for any info.
