I hope someone can help me. I arrive to Geneva at 16:30hrs on the 21 August and I need to go to Nice in France, but I cannot figure out the trains for the late evening. Can someone help me to sort out how can I get easily from Geneve to Nice or even Marseille by train, coach, plan or whatever?

Kind Regards!

Geneva Four Hours in Geneva
Posted: Sat June 28, 2008 10:02 AM UTC
Hi

We will be arriving in Geneva by train one Saturday in July, and will have around 4 hours to explore before heading to the airport.

Any suggestions for 'must-sees' that we could cram into our short visit, taking into account lunch as well?

Thank you

We will arrive early in the a.m. at Geneva airport and want to clean up and take a shower before we continue on to Central Switzerland by train. Apparently there are pay showers at the airport and at the main train station. Any suggestions on which place is better?

Posted: Tue June 10, 2008 01:57 PM UTC
I am travelling to Yverdon les Bains tomorrow night. Is the name of the train company to go there- SBB? Please write a link, so that I can check schedules and prices for tickets.

I am arriving from Lyon, and taking the TER train for 22 euros, taking about one hour and a half. Is that reasonable?
thanks

Geneva Good record store
Posted: Fri May 30, 2008 02:41 PM UTC
Hey everyone. Whenever I go to a new city/country, I like to find a cool record store and buy something from a local artist (whether from that city specifically or just that country). I'm pretty open to anything, but if anyone knows of a place that would have punk/rock/hip hop, that would be cool. If not, any record store will do! Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you in advance :)

Geneva Staying in Geneva
Posted: Fri May 16, 2008 10:31 AM UTC
Hello everyone,
I'm going to travel in Geneva in the end of this May for 3 days. However,in all hostel or hotel websites, there is no rooms available at that time T.T. Is it possible just come and find a hostel later when i came? or is it better to try and book one from now?

Another question, I heard another way to travel is living with local people, so you can learn more about tradition of that country. Is there any in Geneva as well?

I'm really looking forward for your help.
Thanks a lot and have a nice day!

Geneva 6 hours in Geneva
Posted: Tue April 29, 2008 06:02 AM UTC
Our flight is connecting in Geneva and we have 6 hours (i've already given us 2hours for ourselves to get back and checkin for our connecting flight)

1.) Can we take a train or a bus to go to the city, if so how long does it take to get there?

2.) Are there tour buses in the city to hop on and be able to see whatever we can?

3.) At the airport, are there places where we can deposit our luggages?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Geneva Getting from Gare des Eaux-Vives to Gare de Cornavin in Morning Rush-Hour
Posted: Sat March 15, 2008 12:20 PM UTC
On a Tuesday morning, we will be arriving at Gare des Eaux-Vives by train with an arrival time of 07:58. We need to catch a plane from GVA airport with a departure time of 11:35. I understand that there are frequent trains from Gare de Cornavin taking 6 minutes to get to the airport (correct me if I'm wrong on this).

Considering it will be rush-hour, how do we get from Gare des Eaux-Vives to Gare de Cornavin? We don't mind paying for a taxi if that is the best way. Will we have enough time to catch the flight with comfort?

Geneva Border crossings into Switzerland
Posted: Thu March 13, 2008 09:25 AM UTC
I was wondering how strict are the passport controls into Switerland. A few months ago there was a posting that said when one flies to Geneva and leaves by car you actually drive to France and then enter back into Switerland. I was also wondering if there are any entry points that do not stamp your passport? All responses would kindly be appreciated. Peko

Geneva Advice on buying watches in Geneva
Posted: Tue March 11, 2008 03:49 PM UTC
I am an automatic watch fanatic, and will be in Geneva for a meeting 4/23-4/27. I am preparing myself to avoid buying an expensive watch, although I have a feeling i will not be able to resist.

Any advice about buying from Geneva with the euro being so high, or is it a good deal by saving on taxes in the US?

Any advice on tours to watch industry, best stores to buy from, etc...
