The owner of our local restaurant in Wales is from Slovakia, her parents still live there, she told us that the castle had susided? Is this right. Last time we visited we stayed at The tatra hotel, directly below the castle.

Are there any good places to get hand-cut Bohemia or Slovakian crystal in Trencin? Next to the castle, what is advised, eating, drinking, museums, etc?

I know that there is an amazing castle in Trencin, but I'm also wondering what other castles are easy to navigate to (via rail) from Trencin, since I will be staying there primarily while visiting Slovakia.
