Does anyone know if there is a bus that goes from Blagoevgrad (Bulgaria) to Ohrid? Or maybe a better question is: what's the best way to get from Blagoevgrad to Ohrid?

Also, any advice for getting from Ohrid to Pristina (Kosovo)? Bus...taxi...private driver?

I'm traveling to Ohrid in April next year, probably with a study group of about 50 people. Does anyone know any good organisation I can get some tips from. Like study groups in Ohrid, good sleeping places and nice recommendations for Ohrid?

Cheap bed in Orhid, Macedonia and/or a free, secluded place to camp.

1) I am looking for the absolute cheapest dorm/hostel/or bed in Orhid town for 1 or 2 nights. I've been told it's as cheap as 5euro (300 dinars) in September (since tourist season is over), but I am going there in the beginning of September so I am not sure. I think I need a name, address of a place?

2) If I can't find a 5 euro/night bed I prefer to sleep in my 1-person tent in a quiet corner of Orhid lake (on the beach, and not too far from the center). I will have to leave my backpack in the tent (when I go sightseeing), but I will, of course take my valuables with me, but the backpack has to stay, so I'd like to know if you have camped at Orhid before. I prefer not to pay to camp.

Does somebody have any information about the marked trails in Galicica National Park? Where do they start, etc.

In May we met somebody who traveled with a Dutch organization (SNP travels) and he had descriptions of the trails and marks. Unfortunately, this person did not get back to me...The travel agency does not give out information without an arrangement...

who knows if this hotel has a swimming pool ?

We are going to Ohrid at June 17 for a week, looked at www.visit-ohrid.com for a room or apartment and found BALABAN. It looks fency and nice, cost 40 euro a night for room, other apartments less luxurious cost about 20-30 euro.
Somebody knows it? any recomendations?

As I have found out elsewhere, there are no buses from Bitola to Thessaloniki, and one has to travel to the border by taxi. Any idea how much a taxi from Bitola to the Greek border crossing would cost, and how much a taxi from the border crossing to Florina would cost?

Also, can I get from Ohrid to some train station on the way Skopje - Thessaloniki, to save the time of going back to Skopje from Ohrid?

Can anyone recommend some places/venues to get married by Lake Ohrid?

We are travelling from Sarajevo to Ohrid mid-July but I'm not sure how is best to get there. I know there is a bus from Sarajevo to Skopje Tuesdays and Fridays at 18.30 (is this correct?) and then I suppose from Skopje we can take the bus to Ohrid... What would you suggest? We have train passes so it would be better if we can take the train for the majority of our journey. I know Ohrid is not accessible by train but it looks so beautiful and I really want to catch the Summer Festival.

Any suggestions would be great (or even for other places in Macedonia worth visiting?)

As we understood there is no train to Ohrid from Gevgelija,are there any buses & how often? Or are there any trains to Bitola (we found buses to Ohrod from there)? Thanks in advance!!!!!

I am returning to Ohrid next summer and plan to spend one week at Hotel Millenium Palace, a great hotel where we stayed for a week last summer, and a week at either Hotel Granit, or hotel Klimetica.

Can anyone tell me more about these last two hotels? Food quality? Noise? etc. Are there sunshades/umbrellas on the beach at Kilemetica?

We had a bad experience at Hotel Bellevue last year with dreadful food and extremely noisy parties every evening till midnight, so we don't want a repeat of this experience next summer.

Is there any direct and daily bus from ohrid to tirana?

or maybe from struga to tirana?

I have just booked a summer holiday in Ohrid: one week in hotel Millenium Palace and one week in hotel Bellevue. Did I make a good choice? I have read mixed reviews of hotel Bellevue, some guests found the food very poor.
