We are group of 3 and we would like to travel from Dusseldorf Airport Railway Station to Hamminkeln. I got the info that we can use train tickets also for sky train from terminal to airport railway station. Is it possible to buy tickets before entering sky train or only at the railway station.Is there any discount ticket for group of 3 people?

My plane arrives to Köln/Bonn Flughafen, and i need to get to Düsseldorf the very same day..
Could anyone send a tip about the easier way to get from Köln/Bonn airport, to Düsseldorf Hbf?!?!
I´d be very thankful, if someone could also send a tip about the transportation tickets, that i should buy, as i´m going to live the whole July in Düsseldorf..

I'm in Dusseldorf soon on business and whilst I'm there would like to check out a few bars that might be up for hosting a live music evening sometime soon....

As a sideline I am involved with 3 marvellous young up and coming UK indie guitarpop bands and would like to put on a music night in a Duss bar...

Any recommendations on bars that might be worth checking out... nearer to the altstadt the better... I had some awesome nights out there in my teens (20odd yrs ago now...

All ideas gratefully recieved...........

We will be flying into DUS for a weekend and have found a Mercure Hotel near DUS airport for only 20 Euro per night.
My question is:
Is it easy to get to the city and back from the airport?
Are there passes for the metro/train?
Should we take this low price and deal with the transportation or pay 100 Euro and be in the city?

We are looking for a cheap train to get from the Dusseldorf Airport to Cologne (Honrath Train Station). I understand the RE Train (I guess that means regional?) is the best value. Can someone advise me where and how I would catch one of these less expensive trains from the Dusseldorf Airport?
Is it possible to get the train from the airport rail station or must I travel somewhere else to get it?
Also a current cost of the ticket would be helpful.

yes i am a victim of Ryanair's cheap flights campaing too. And I just realised that the airport I am flying to is 80km away from my connection airport.. Anyway luckily i have 3 hours gap should I should have enough time to do the transfer.

I found timetables and such for trains but I can't find any prices? has anyone got any idea how much it cost a train from Weeze airport to dusseldorf airport?

I need to go from Golzheimer Platz to Düsseldorf Hapbahnhof . Do you know the schedules of the underground for this trip? Do you know how much does it cost?

And the underground station Düsseldorf Hapbahnhof is near the train station?

9 of us will be travelling to Weeze Airport in November. we then head to Dusseldorf main airport to catch a connecting flight. I think we have approz 3 hours to spare in Dusseldorf & wondered if its worth spending some time in the city centre before heading to the main airport.

Please can someone advise the best method of transport from Weeze Airport to
A) Dusseldorf City Centre
B) Dusseldorf Main Airport

Any info of travveling time & cost would be much appreciated.

Dear all , me and my friend will come to Dusseldorf for a couple of days arriving Thursday night after 1 am.
I am indecuded between two hotels, one is NH Düsseldorf City-Center(near Königsalle) amd the other is a Best Western Ambassador hotel (near the train station). We want to stay near pubs and nightlife, which one do you reccomend???(unfortunately all hotels in the old town close check in at about midninght so I can not choose them!).
Moreover we arrive late on Thursday at about 1,30 am, is there any nice late pubs or nice discos that will be open on Thursday until very late? if yes can you reccomend some??

I,m coming to Dusseldorf on 24th October at 13:50 and have to reach Duisburg HBF. As far as I know , I have to catch the monorail to dusseldorf bahnhof and then catch a train to Duisburg. I dont know the prices of Tickets. on 25th, 26th and 27th I have to go to the Messe dusseldorf for Exhibition and the Exhibition ticket also includes my free travel on VRR and VRS for 3 days. My question is how should I move and what would be the cost.

Secondly I wish to travel to Paris and Amsterdam and I would be staying 1 day each in those cities. So what type of Ticket I should buy to enable me the economical and quick travel.
on 31st I would be returning back to Duisburg and Catch early flight on 1st November.
If someone knows the exact prices of train travel and timetable it would make my job easier or I should enquire these things on reaching Dusseldorf to the travel information desk.

We are Canadians - mom and two daughters - going to be in Europe for a cruise from Amsterdam to Barcelona.

I am contemplating a flight from Barcelona to Dusseldorf on Sep 24, arriving @10:55.

From Dusseldorf we would like to travel by train to Frankfurt airport for our flight home. (actually, we would LIKE to be staying there but such is life!)

Anyway, how much time should I allow for retrieving baggage etc. before train departure. There appears to be many trains to choose from. I'm looking at either the 11:32 or 12:32 departures.

Any advice?

Having toured along the Rhein from heidelberg to Dusseldorf we are aiming to attend the motorhome show in the city, near the end of August at the Exhbition Centre there.

Which would be the best hotel to stay in? We have a car, but it would be good to be on the right side of town for the show.

We are looking for a good three or four star hotel.

Although I've been to Düsseldorf a lot (my Oma lives there), I have always stuck around the altstadt for nights out. I'm heading out there in a couple of weeks for a long weekend with a friend and wanted to know where the other hotspots are for nightlife?

I'm mostly looking for pubs (preferably late opening ones) - any suggestions? I'm guessing the harbour could be an option, but never really wandered down there so I don't really know what to expect.

I'd like to keep it to within walking distance of the altstadt really (as we're based not far from there) although short tram rides are fine.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

What is the best way to get to the main Dusseldorf airport from Dusseldorf train station. Seems to be a few different ways on vrr website. Also is the cost 1.10 or 2.10 euro - don't quite understand A* tariff.

Last minute thoughts -- any great ice cream shops, resteraunts, bars, show, clubs, museums, etc. that we need to consider. How is the weather predicted to be, etc.

I like to go to Bamberg from Dusseldorf in the middle of June.
I am not sure if it is cheaper to travel by train or by air, anyone can advise?
Also, if by train, is it a direct train or required transit?

I will go to Frankfurt from Bamberf thereafter, do i also travel by trains?
