I have a big luggage with a haversack. I was wondering if there is any Storage place to store my big luggage for half-a-day or even one day in the Main Train Station. Can the storage keep BIG luggage? How much does it cost?

What is the last train from Dusseldorf Main Station to Frankfurt Main Station? Are there any train service past midnight, say 2am, 3am in the morning to Frankurt? Does the ticket office open 24 hours in Dusseldorf? Can I purchase the ticket on the midnight train itself?

Hi- I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas/advice as to what there is to do on New Years Eve in the city for families. My family will be there on New Years Eve-(we have a car but we are staying in the city) this will be toward the end of our trip- our children's ages are 2, 6, 14. We have done the ski thing before in other countries on New Years- and we plan on skiing on our trip already-so when I did a search and the only event I could find for families was an indoor ski area.... thought I would seek some guidance!! my parents were told by a travel agent that the S-Bahn from Hbf to DUS airport is not running in the night and that they need to book a hotel with airport transfer.

My parents intend to fly on Aug 13th and need to be at the airport around 5:30 am.

I checked on www.bahn.de and from the information there the S-Bahn is running, can anybody shed some light on this?

(My guess is that the travel agent was lying to my parents because she wanted to sell that hotel, but I would like to confirm that the S-Bahn is indeed running from Hbf.)

The company which I work for is planning to participate in K2010 in Duesseldorf from 27 Oct. to 3 Nov. 2010. The show venue is at Duesseldorf Fairgrounds.

I will be landing at Düsseldorf airport this Saturday. Will I be able to buy an S-bahn ticket from a machine using a US credit card or paper money?
Last year when I arrived at Cologne airport the VRS machine would not accept US credit cards or paper money. Coins only. I managed to get some change from a kind Lufthansa employee.

I got the info that we can use train tickets also for sky train from terminal to airport railway station. Is it possible to buy tickets before entering sky train or only at the railway station.Is there any discount ticket for group of 3 people?

I'm in Dusseldorf soon on business and whilst I'm there would like to check out a few bars that might be up for hosting a live music evening sometime soon....

As a sideline I am involved with 3 marvellous young up and coming UK indie guitarpop bands and would like to put on a music night in a Duss bar...

Any recommendations on bars that might be worth checking out... nearer to the altstadt the better... I had some awesome nights out there in my teens (20odd yrs ago now...

We will be flying into DUS for a weekend and have found a Mercure Hotel near DUS airport for only 20 Euro per night.
My question is:
Is it easy to get to the city and back from the airport?
Are there passes for the metro/train?
Should we take this low price and deal with the transportation or pay 100 Euro and be in the city?

We are looking for a cheap train to get from the Dusseldorf Airport to Cologne (Honrath Train Station). I understand the RE Train (I guess that means regional?) is the best value. Can someone advise me where and how I would catch one of these less expensive trains from the Dusseldorf Airport?
Is it possible to get the train from the airport rail station or must I travel somewhere else to get it?
Also a current cost of the ticket would be helpful.
