Has anyone been to the Arctic area to the North of Archangelsk ?
We want to go north, as far as possible this summer to Novaya Zemlya, Vorkuta etc. but I read there were coal mines and nuclear test facilities so it may not be a good idea. We are looking forward to experience the nature of the arctic region, to spend a couple of days at a fisherman's house and so on... Where can we go ? Nice arctic regions in Russia ??? - What train goes to archangelsk ? what's the number ? - How to go further north ? Any trains ? My 12 year old atlas does not show any airports to the north of arcangelsk. Thanks a lot !!! |
