Füssen Travel Forum

Hello,
we are travelling to memmingen airport in a few days. We will spend 4 days in the region and we are trying to organise a small trip around. I think we should visit Füssen and the castles, but where else can we go? We are renting a car: is it a good idea? We want to see mountains, hike a little bit, swim in lakes, etc. We are not visiting München.
Please, can you give some advice on:
-places to stay (the 4 days in a place or change location every night?)
-places to visit
-car renting (is it a good idea?)
-any suggestion!

Can anyone give me any info on the boat tours of Lake Forggen please? I can't seem to find anything specific online only that there are two boats the MV Fuessen and the MV Allgaeu. I'm looking for time tables and prices not to mention reviews (naturally).

I'll be in Fuessen in a few weeks, and was wondering if anyone has biked from Fuessen to Schwangau to see the castles. From the map, it looks like it's only 3.2 KMs, but I'm not sure if there is a safe trail for bikers/walkers? Any help is appreciated!

Can anyone tell me how far it is between the two? I know there is a bus route, but would it be too far to bike to from Schwangau?

I will be arriving by train to Fuessen early afternoon in December. How far is the Hotel Kurcafe from the Bahnhof? Is it a managable walking distance with a backpack and small rolling suitcase?

I am going to travel to fuessen in mid-July, but I couldn't find a accomodation with resonable price (since the youth hostel is already full and the price for pension and hotel are really highhhh..)
could anyone suggest me for a place to stay with cost me up to 25 euro? thanks
