Fussen Paris - Fussen - Venice
Posted: Thu May 18, 2006 09:10 AM UTC
Hi Everyone,
I am planning a trip in April next year and I need to know the following:
Best way to get from Paris to Fussen. To see the castles is it best to stay in Austria, if so what is the easiest and closest place to get me there. Or would we be better off going from Paris to Munich then Fussen. As time is limited I need to know is it Austria or Germany? Any help would be wonderful.

Thanks

Fussen Photos of castles in the evening?

I'd like to get some shots of the castles without the hoards of people around. Can one walk around the grounds/trails after the tours are over (around 1900)? How close can you get to either of them? (i.e. could I walk to Mary's bridge?) Danke!

Posted: Fri March 10, 2006 05:59 AM UTC
I am going back to Southern Germany after nearly twenty years away. I can't remember all the things to see there. I want to show my wife the side of Germany I once saw. Can anyone think of the odd or off the beatin path places around Fussen. I'll be spending 16 days in the south so I have alot of time to explore.
Thanks for you help.

Fussen How's the shopping?

I've read all about Ludwig's castles - and will go and visit. But - the street scenes in Fussen look very appealing....how is the shopping along those quaint streets? Any interesting shops not to miss or bargains to check on?

Fussen How to get from Zurich to Fussen?
Posted: Thu March 24, 2005 12:52 AM UTC
Does anybody know how to get from Zurich to Fussen? is there a train that serve these two cities? I would prefer not having to go to Munich first. If I travel from Zurich to Konstanz/Lindau, would it be easier to get a train from Konstanz/Lindau to Fussen? Would it be easier if I go through Austria? Thanks in advance!

i want to travel from munich airport to Fussen in early June. i believe the best way to do this is by rail, but i can't find a means of ordering my tickets on-line. the site says i'm not providing enough information about my departure/arrival stations. i now believe i may be traveling from Munchen-Pasing. can you assist me. or since Fussen is near to Austria would it be easier to travel to an airport there?
