Hello all
I'm flying into Frankfurt Hahn airport this weekend with the intention of travelling on to Luxembourg city. Apart from car rental in the airport, is there is a shuttle bus that runs from there to the city? If so, how often does it run and is it Ryanair operated?
Many thanks everyone
DG

any mosques? Posted: Wed August 12, 2009 08:04 PM UTC
hey guys!
my question might be very unexpected. Are there any mosques in the capital city of Luxembourg? and if there are any, does anyone know about visiting possibilities?
Best wishes from Lithuania,
Dei.
P.S. are there going to be any events in capital between 21-24th of August in the capital?
Does anyone know how much is the return train ticket from Frankfurt to Luxembourg ? I have tried bahn.de but the price is not available. And the europass is too expensive.
Arrive Luxembourg Central train station on October 22. We are staying at the Hilton Hotel, 12 Rue Jean Engling, Luxembourg. Please advise the most
economical and the most convenient transport to our hotel?
I'm a 25 year-old American moving from Columbus, Ohio to Luxembourg City in less than two weeks and have been looking unsuccessfully online for a place to watch American sports - in particular NCAA football and basketball. I'm hoping to find something in Luxembourg City (or any city nearby) before the OSU-USC game in a few weeks. Does anyone know of any such place? Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!
I plan a trip in the spring. I remember that I saw a special rail deal connecting Luxembourg, Trier, Saarbrucken & Metz. Is there such a pass? If so, how does it work. I plant to base in Trier a few days and it would be good to know.
In lieu of that what is the fare between Lux. and Trier and Lux. and Nancy or Metz? I could not find a Luxembourg rail site to get this info.
Thanks
Hello. I would like to do a one day trip from Paris to Luxembourg. How long would the train take? And is it worth the effort? What do you suggest? Thanks.
Can anybody give me some information about the Gasperich area in Luxembourg and if there are any hotels nearby? If we stay in the city centre, how do we get to Gasperich early in the morning? Thanks a lot
Restaurant Posted: Thu November 29, 2007 11:19 AM UTC
Hello,
this year we decided to skip Christmas party in our city and to have two days trip abroad with my colleagues. 8 of December we will be in Luxembourg. Please, help me to find some restaurant, where 30 people at once can have late lunch or pub or bar, where we can have a meeting point for glass of wine after walking in the city? We don't eat fast food, so I mean some place with atmosphere ;-)
Thank you,
Letute
I am planning to do a day trip of Luxembourg later this month.
Actually I have a latenight flight from Frankfurt Hahn and thot it might be a nice idea to do a day trip arriving at Lux around noon for abt 5 hours to see places.
1. Any idea if the buses from Hahn to Lux is crowded and one needs to book in advance for the journey? Also the costs for a return trip in the same day..One operator says it charges $22 per person one way by bus.. is it that expensive?
2. The absolute must sees and if they are connected by some tourist bus.. where to find this bus and how much for a half day trip?
my friend is going to Lux on 19 September and would need a place to stay (somewhere close to the centre since she has an interview to attend in one of the EU buildings). Please tell me, where could she stay.
We will arrive in Luxembourg on our way to the Euromeet 2008 in Karlsruhe.
We will arrive in the city of Luxembourg around lunchtime on Wednesday 28th May 2008.
We would like to have a look round and some lunch with the possibilty of a mini VT meeting.
Could you please suggest a restaraunt that serves decent food and could be the venue of the mini VT meeting.
I have posted the meeting in the "Members Meetings and Events" If you can come, please sign up so that I can make your badges.
Does anyone have any suggestions / routes for someone who has never been to Luxembourg (City) and knows very little about i? I'll arriving by train and will probably walk from the station to the centre (if it is not too far). It's a day trip (about 8 hours in the City).
My wife and I (couple in the 50's) are going to visit Luxembourg city as part of our three countries (BENELUX) trip. We will be spending two nights in the city. This is our first trip to this countries. We have travel to other places in Europe before. Any hotel recomendations, places to go, where to shop, what to do in only those days, etc? We will arrive on May 25 and leave back to Amsterdam on the 27 (weekend). We like music, history, etc. How long is the trip from Brussels? Is train good or drive?
Family Fun??? Posted: Sat January 6, 2007 04:46 AM UTC
hello!! I just finished organizing the trip to Brugge for the family, making sure the kids will be entertained as much as possible. Now I need to do a day plan for Luxembourg. Does anyone know of family oriented things that will keep a 16 year old.. 9 year old and 11 year old's attention? I've gone on the sites, and looked through here but nothing so far.
I was hoping someone might have a "secret weapon" of some sort :)

Hi everyone,
I'm coming to Lux City in Marc to do a 5 month traineeship at the Official Publication Office.
Because of the very basic wage we get, I’m looking for a cheap accomodation (flat,house-sharing,studio,room or other) in Lux. I can afford max 550-580 euro/month (charges included).
Luxembourg seems to be quite expensive place, so I’d really appreciate any tips and advices about living there.
Also, anyone else on a traineeship, get in touch! You can contact at krassy_@hotmail.com too.
Many thanks in advance! Best wishes!

A friend of mine and I are thinking of traveling around Europe next year and will be planning to stop off in Luxembourg, can anyone reccomend a nice cheap wee hostel for us to stay in?
Hi everyone,
I'm going to spend 2 days in Luxembourg at the end of December.
I have some questions:
- What is the wheather like in this period? Do it usually snow?
- I will problably stay in a hotel near the train station, is it a good area?
- I will have to wait for the bus to get to the airport at 5 o'clock in the morning with my little brother (he's 14) next to the railway station, will it be dangerous in your opinion?
- which places do you think I can't miss in this 2-days visit?
is it an expensive city? (I'm interested in particular in bar/restaurant)
I am re locating to Luxembourg and I am trying to search for accomodation within the City Centre. Can you advise the best method of finding places. I have been looking on athome.lu. As I live in the UK it is difficult to find places.
So, has anyone found a vegetarian restaurant in Luxembourg? I plan on visiting after next week and voila, excitement galore in the form of castles. Luxembourg castles are sure to amaze me. Oops, tangent.
