Hi everyone---

I am looking for a flat to rent in Hamburg for the Christmas holidays until January 4th, 2008 . My own flat is under rennovation at that time and I don't want to miss out on my usual holiday dinner planning or city celebrations at this time of year. I am looking for 1-2 room with cable television, with possibly a cd player. Price negotiable! Any leads wonderfully appreciated. Thanks to all in advance....!

Hi,
I am looking at a few different hotels in Hamburg.
I have seen this hotel which looks nice. Clearly I don't know Hamburg's geography, is this hotel in a good position to explore the city. I want to be close to the centre so that I don't have to use public transport more than I need to. The hotel is supposed to be 5 minutes from the Hauptbahnof railwaystation. Does that mean I will be close to all the shops and nightlife?
Any help appreciated with thanks.

Is it in a good area for exploring the city?
If i got a bus from the airport would it stop close to this hotel?
The reason I have picked this one is that it is a very good price.

me and my husband (40+) will be visiting Hamburg in October. We booked a hotel near hauptbahnhof (I guess named InterCity or something that). We are staying for 3 nights and planning to do a lot of sightseeing and walking, visit many bars etc. As we do not plan to return to hotel before dark, please tell us, should we book another hotel as I have read in this forum and some places else that it may not be safe to walk there after dark. Or is it not so bad if we keep our eyes open and do not mingle with people we do not know :-) ?

And if You recommend us to switch hotels, please can You gave us a hint - a nice hotel in center where there one can safely make long walks and have shopping/culture/bars nearby , max 500 EUR 3 nights/2persons.

I've read about the fare from the main railway station
to the airport..leaves every 20 mts or so for 5 euoro's.
Just want to clarify...the central railway station and
hamburg hauptbahnoff is the same ?
Also does anyone know the best way and price to get to Kiel from Hamburg
and back by bus/train ?

I was told that near the mosque (its only one in Hamburg) there is a B&B or Hostel or it is attached to the mosque or a place to stay that belong to the mosque. I will be gald if someone know something (address, prices, or any other infos), because i have hard time finding information for this place to stay overnight.

I will be ending a kayak trip in Brunsbuttel. There doesn't seem to be a train from there to Hamburg. Is there a bus going the whole distance, or should I take a local bus or taxi to the nearest train station?

i will go to hamburg for a day.. i think the best thing to do is harbour tour for one day trip.. by the way, i have to go to bremen airport in late evening.. is anybody can tell me how can i go to bremen from hamburg..and how long does it take?

moin moin, I `ll be in Hamburg Saturday to go to the Malevich exposition, after the art I wanna enjoy some food. I like to have a view at the harbour or so, but e. g. Rickmers and Überseebrücke is tourist ripoff in my opinion. Any insider-tips?? Thanx in advance!!
