I'm traveling from NYC to Hamburg end of July. Does the Queen Mary 11 dock in Hamburg? Or Breman? I have to take a train from there to Nurenberg, and not certain which city the ship docks. I have asked the Cunard people but have not received an answer.

I'm desperate needed help, I will be travelling down to Ham on 8-Jun to attend a wedding. I will be extending my stay in Germany till 16-Jun before I fly to Paris. My friend will not be available on 14-June, any suggestion what to do around in Germany? I have yet to book the domestic flight to Paris, hoping I can fly out from other part of Germany to Paris.

So far, the only place I know is Berlin.

1) Where to visit & stay on 14 & 15-Jun (Accessible to take flight to Paris)
2) What must-do / must-see at that place?

I will be visiting Hamburg from Jun 19 to Jun 22 and I am looking for a nice hotel/bed and breakfast. Any suggestion? Also, this is my first time in Hamburg and any tips and guides are welcome. I will be by myself and I have always wished to see Hamburg.

I am accepted to continue my studies in "TUHH" Hamburg and my wife would apply to study in her desired programme in Clausthal university. I don't know exactly if "Clausthal" is the name of the city or it has another name. Just I would like to know the distance between these two universities and if we live in Hamburg is it a problem travelling to Clausthal everyday?

Any comments would be appreciated.

does anyone know of a skydiving company operating in (or close to) Hamburg? I tried google, but found myself going in circles with no results.

I am looking at the possibility of doing a tandem skydive for my 25th birthday next month and am just looking at costs, etc., at the moment.

Hi, just a quick question - Going to Hamburg toninght! Am I right in thinking that the bus from Lubeck airport, (I'm flying Ryanair), goes to the main bus station in Hamburg? And that is next to the Hauptbahnhof?

I would like to know if there are ferry boats going to Denmark from Hamburg and if yes, which line and how long would it take ? I read that a train ride to
Denmark costs about 80 Euros, but are there no reductions for foreign students??

This couple will spend 2 days in late August. Can't find even one decent 3-stars hotel in this section at all. The big hotel facility to us is a waste. Can someone help us?

I'm assuming that catching a train from Hamburg to Berlin is relatively easy, but just want to ask just in case.
Would I have to book in advance or are there a lot of trains each day going there? I am going to a concert the same day so I'm nervous about not making it!

I have been traveling through Europe with a car carrier. My trip finishes in Hamburg at the end of January.

I had bought a Volvo and it is going back to the USA (European Delivery), but due to legal requirements I cannot easily take the car roof carrier with me.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can sell this roof carrier in Hamburg on January 30th?

I paid 600 Euros for it...it is in good condition, so I assume it should sell for a few hundred Euros.

I would be willing to split the proceeds 50/50 with anyone out there that is willing to pick it up and sell it for me.

me and 2 friends are visiting hamburg on january 24 th - 27 th. I visited hamburg last year and partied alot in the reeperbahn district, I like to know where else I can find nice bars, pubs etc etc, whith good german beer coulture?

I need advise on how to buy a return train ticket. Does anyone know which website I can use to book a ticket and how do I get from the Airport to the train station? How long would this journey take?

I'm coming to Hamburg from dec 29th to Jan 2nd. Other than the saturday which i'm arriving, will shops be open thereafter? What about bars & restaurants?

It will be shame to come all this way to stay in a hotel room and/or walk around aimlessly because nothing is open during the day.

Also, does anyone know about the ratskeller restaurant ie can you just walk in or is reservations required? - their website does'nt seem to be working

I will be arriving in Hamburg at 7:30am on a flight from the US. At the moment, I am booked on a 13:46 train to Amsterdam. I'm sure I'll be able to take an earlier train but am wondering what is realistic--9:46 or 10:46.
I know that there is an express bus direct to the train station. Is it possible to buy my ticket on board or will I have to wait on a line somewhere. That said, would I be better off taking a cab?

Hi there, just wanting some recommendations from local people if you'd be kind enough to help. We're 4 guys coming over from Liverpool early on Friday 16th November staying until early Sunday evening - but how can we make most of our time? Obviously we'll be wanting to experience the nightlife, Reeperbahn etc (so any recommendations for unmissable bars and clubs are welcome!) but what else should we make a point of seeing? I am looking at a few different hotels in Hamburg.
I have seen this hotel which looks nice. Clearly I don't know Hamburg's geography, is this hotel in a good position to explore the city. I want to be close to the centre so that I don't have to use public transport more than I need to. The hotel is supposed to be 5 minutes from the Hauptbahnof railwaystation. Does that mean I will be close to all the shops and nightlife?
