Some questions about Hamburg Posted: Thu November 5, 2009 11:59 AM UTC
I have asked this before, but I lost the answer, when we changed the city to go at November,so once again:How long does the train from Bremen to Hamburg take?
And some new questins(I asked about christmas-markets last time, but now it´s the different time of the year)
About the climate:Is there difference between february and march? Is both as rainy and windy and how about the temperature? My husband might have change to choose a little, when he will have his winter-holliday,so we wonder when we should go-I can go when ever I want,I have my own shop.
Is the old town big,and is it lively?I mean like in some town, old town is only old houses, where people live, and somewhere there are little shops and restaurants and so on.
We could fly to Bremen or Bergamo,so I´m wondering witch one to choose. Both one we have been, but when we went to Bremen,we didn´t visit Hamburg.I have been thinking it´s boring town, grey and not beautyful, but now I´ve heard it´s not.
We like museums and old buildings, but I guess there´s enough about them, when I will see the tip-pages.

Literature connected to Hamburg Posted: Thu October 8, 2009 03:16 PM UTC
I'll stay in Hamburg next december and I wonder wether you can recommend me some literature to get into the mood for my holidays...
Btw I'm talking about prose literature, not travel books... For example I'd recommend everybody visiting Vienna to read Stefan Zweig's "World of Yesterday"...

Rathaus in 1800's Posted: Mon May 18, 2009 06:55 PM UTC
I have a print of a drawing/painting titled "Das Rathaus in Hamburg" Vortag von B.S. Berendsohns in Hamburg. It looks like it was done in the 1800's. Who is the artist? On one side of the print it says C. Laeisz and on the other side is J. Gray sc. Can you tell me a little about this drawing/painting?

Hamburg to Copenhagen Posted: Tue November 11, 2008 03:38 PM UTC
Hi, I'm looking for a cheap way to travel between Hamburg and Copenhagen. I'm aware of the Deutsche Bahn offers starting from 29 Euros and the Eurolines coach for 30 quid. Are there any other coach services between Hamburg and Copenhagen or any train offers that I'm not aware of so far?
Thanks !

Distance between Hamburg and Clausthal Posted: Mon May 26, 2008 12:37 PM UTC
Dear VT friends,
I am accepted to continue my studies in "TUHH" Hamburg and my wife would apply to study in her desired programme in Clausthal university. I don't know exactly if "Clausthal" is the name of the city or it has another name. Just I would like to know the distance between these two universities and if we live in Hamburg is it a problem travelling to Clausthal everyday?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Skydiving Posted: Wed May 14, 2008 06:24 PM UTC
Hi,
does anyone know of a skydiving company operating in (or close to) Hamburg? I tried google, but found myself going in circles with no results.
I am looking at the possibility of doing a tandem skydive for my 25th birthday next month and am just looking at costs, etc., at the moment.
So if anyone knows of a company and/or website that could help me out, can you please let me know.
Thank you,
